1 The Cursed Child

In a remote secular village, a crying baby can be heard at this late night.

Yi Feng was drenched with sweat as she look at the most beautiful baby she had ever seen.

She couldn't believe herself as she look down on her daughter.

The baby's skin was white as a pearl and her eyes was shining bright like the stars.

Her husband Yi Wen was flabbergasted. How on earth did they manage to make such a beautiful baby? He and his wife have both ordinary faces. He was born from the Yi Family that hunts for a living. His skin was rough and his built was tough. While his wife is the daughter of the Village Doctor Yu Fang. Nothing extraordinary about her aside from being able to cure small ailments for the village.

Since the baby was so dainty and delicate, He named her Yi Ling.

5 years later, Yi Ling grew as the jewel of the village.

She was so beautiful and delicate. Pampered by everyone.

At 5 years old, She already learned how to make herbal remedies for the village.

She was tutored in the morning by her own grandfather, Yu Fang.

And in the afternoon, her father Yi Wen taught her on how to hunt.

Yi Wen believed that even though she is a girl, A girl should know how to hunt and protect herself.

Being how talented she was at a young age, she unexpectedly caught the eyes of some passer-by in their village. A middle-aged man was sipping on his tea in a restaurant when he seen Yi Ling pass by the street. She was dazzling to the eyes, her hair was voluptuous as she walked by.

"There goes Yi Ling again, *sigh* I wish I had a kid like her."

"I know! She's so talented at a young age and look how beautiful she is! She will bring this whole village to new heights one day!"

The middle-aged man's brow lift up. A sinister smile curled up on his face.

At midnight , 20 black-suited man came up at the entrance on the village.

It rain with blood that very night. One can hear loud screaming and agonizing voices.

"Assassins!"

"Help us!"

Yi Wen woke up startled. He woke up his wife and his daughter. Whispering them to run through the forest and meet him over at his small hut. Where he skins his preys during the time he hunts.

"Feng'er , you must bring Ling'er over there. Run as fast as you can, I will be there soon. I need to look over the situation and if danger awaits, I must lure them away from you." He kissed his wife's forehead.

"Brother Wen, you must come back to us alive! Your daughter and I will wait for you." As tears fell down Yi Feng's face.

Yi Ling was shaking, she heard a lot of screaming. She was scared.

Seeing his daughter trembling, he hugged her and his wife.

"Yi Ling, you must be brave! Follow your mother to my hut, don't make a noise! I love you both."

He then pushed them out to the back door, looking out as they fled through the forest.

Not knowing that it would be the last time that they will see each other in this lifetime.
