Chapter 6: The Xue Family

Xue Yan got out of the car and fixed her clothes. Her red face had gotten better and it looked a healthy blush to her snow white skin. She saw Erlik with his hands behind his back as his long hair moving along the wind.

She was suprised that the man who just got intimate with her was standing there calmly with no trace of embarrassment or lust in his eyes. Her eyes involuntarily went towards his lower body as she saw it was as flat as a plain.

"Is he unable to…?"

Mumbled Xue Yan as her face turned beet red when she noticed she had such a ridiculous thought.

She took a deep breath as her face turned solemn and she turned her towards the giant mansion in front of her.

She walked towards the mansion as the old man walked slightly behind her and the guards made a path by using their bodies as fences. Everyone thought that there was perfect security while the invisible Erlik was casually walking alongside Xue Yan with no fear of getting caught whatsoever.

Erlik noticed multiple sources of mana around the entrance of the mansion. They all supplied a constant stream of mana to a formation which was made underground, increasing the density of mana and revitalizing anyone who came in the mansion grounds.

The formation was a multipurpose one. While it gave protection to insiders and increased the efficiency of body functions, it also served as a guardian formation. When intruders were detected, the mana would solidify into a barrier, isolating the mansion and everyone within, securing them inside the mansion.

If a normal outsider came in, the formation would stop them from coming in. But getting in was an easy task for Erlik. He simply made a mana void around his body, making the formation think that there was an empty spot with no mana, sending more mana to supply the spot so that the formation would not have holes in from which, enemies could break the formation.

Ironically, while the formation thought it was repairing itself, all it did was give extra support to Erlik who hadn't come in contact with any mana ever since his emerging.

"To think that by me coming here just to observe a treasure region. I would inadvertently get to increase my strength. I'll have to thank Xue Yan later." noted Erlik as he kept absorbing mana like the bottomless abyss which his body was.

Xue Yan walked inside the mansion as she felt the mana of the formation as she felt the familiar but unpleasant mana covering her body. Every second in this place felt like hell for her. Her gaze involuntarily went towards Erlik who gazed back at her with a smile on his face.

Even though Erlik had already told her that he'd not be noticed by the formation, she was still surprised at it. Her eyebrows went slightly up as she stopped for a moment.

She heard Erlik say softly to her, "Let's meet your father."

Her face turned solemn as she walked into the mansion. She saw servants walking around the house with gazes directed at her that seemed to say "The troublemaker is back home".

She wasn't bothered by it though, having heard comments much worse. She glared at them as the servants walked away, seemingly not scared at the least, some even having disdain in their eyes. She sighed and shook her head as she thought while looking at Erlik who seemed to have seen through her thoughts as he nodded his head and gazed at the wooden door in front of them.

"Miss, Please go in." said the Old man as he stood outside the door.

She nodded and opened the door to see a man in a black suit, gazing right towards her, almost as if he knew that she'd be coming.

The man was tall with a nicely trimmed beared and black hair with streaks of white hair spread throughout his hair. He had a smoking pipe, with the smoke of burning tobacco floating towards the ceiling but disappearing as soon as it hit the

ceiling. His eyes were similar to Xue Yan's but instead of black with traces of silver, his was black with traces of red.

He had a cold expression on his face as she gazed towards Xue Yan. His gaze was not that of a father's.

It was like that of a butcher assessing the livestock before butchering it.

No matter how many times Xue Yan saw the gaze, she always felt scared. Her back was soaked with cold sweat without her even realizing as she finally heard the man speak.

"You are back, my daughter."

"Yes, father. Indeed I am back." replied Xue Yan, with a voice that didn't sound scared at all.

"Why did you go away without telling me? You had an appointment with the son of the Feng family. They were displeased at your disappearence."

"I don't care if their displeased, I'd rather not be a part of the Xue family than go marry that ugly pig."

"You may have no problem with not being a part of the Xue family but I do my daughter." replied Xue Bai coldly as he walked towards Xue Yan. He tilted Xue Yan's chin up as he looked at her with eyes that seemed as deep as the abyss.

"The only reason for your very existence is to bring benefit to the family. I have no use of a piece of flesh who takes my resources while not giving me anything back in compensation."

Erlik was suprised at Xue Bai's character. He hadn't seen a man of ever since coming to Earth.

He was a born Emperor, viewing all by how much benefits they could bring him. He'd view every single person with the same gaze. Even his daughter was no exception to this.

What interested him even more was the mana surrounding him. It was cold and domineering, pressuring the existence of the people around him. All would have to kneel in front of him, for he was the Emperor and they were his subjects.

As Xue Yan was about reply, she felt two arms wrapping around her waist as she heard Erlik saying.

"Do not be scared, I have already told you that I'd help you get out of here and you have already offered up yourself to me. You need not worry about your own safety. Give him the harshest words you can give.

You are my woman, not his."

Xue Yan was startled by his words, indeed the moment she was kissed by Erlik, she felt a special energy in her body, it was like a mark.

It was the mark that Erlik gave her as his woman.

She looked at Xue Bai with equally cold eyes, as the vine surrounding her mana broke, her aura spreading throughout the mansion. Cold air started to blow as snow started falling. Her hair turned silver white as she spoke, her voice echoing all around.

"My life is mine and my body is mine, while I need to thank you for raising me, you have no right to dictate my life. I shall live as I want and with whoever I want. You are a nobody to me Xue Bai. Do not think that, by surrounding me in a cage and suppressing me all my life you'd have full control over me. You, are just the man who covered your half of responsibility with my mother. You are not the king you think you are. You are a mere dictator, trying to control the lives of everyone you know, so that you can fulfill that damn ego of yours."

As Xue Yan finished speaking, Xue Bai had veins bulging from his face. His face was red from anger as he growled and swiped towards Xue Yan, his hands getting covered in red flames that melted the snow around him.

Xue Yan had never been in a real fight before so she flinched, putting her hands up in a cross as her eyes squinted in hear as she looked at the floor.

As Xue Bai's hand got closer to hers, she could feel a searing pain in her arms, as though her flesh was being burnt and her bones, covered in hot coal.

Just as Xue Bai was about to hit her, his hands abruptly changed directions, hitting the floor and blasting half of the office away.

Xue Yan's eyes widened as she heard a familiar voice,

"Now, now, I can't have you be harming my woman can I? I'd like you stop attacking her while you can, or else the consequences will be something you won't like."

She watched as Erlik appeared from the void, not having been disturbed at the least by the commotion that just happened. His clothes were just as clean as he walked towards Xue Yan, giving her an abrupt kiss.

"Good girl."

He patted her head with a smile as he faced towards Xue Bai, his expression turning cold.

"WHO.THE.HELL.IS.HE.!!‽" bellowed Xue Bai as he pointed towards Erlik.

He didn't wait for an answer as he moved towards Erlik, his whole body ablaze.

Xue Yan looked worriedly at Erlik, who was just as calm as ever. He smiled at her as he faced Xue Bai who was rushing at him.

He cut his index finger as blood gushed out. But instead of falling to the ground, it floated and turned into a sharp spike flying towards Xue Bai, it hit Xue Bai's chest, but instead of splattering or stabbing his chest, it invaded his skin, getting inside his body as it flowed to his heart.

The frenzied Xue Bai abruptly stopped as his body that was ablaze turned as straight as a pole, turning into a flaming fire pole.

He could feel the invading blood taking over his body. His muscles and veins were torn apart as his own blood was turned against him, giving him excruciating pain as it moved towards his heart.

His body started producing mists of blood as the surroundings turned red, he felt despair for the first time of his life as he could feel death looking over him.

He saw Erlik closing his hand into a fist, as his heart and brain turned into mush, blood gushing out of all his orifices.

Erlik turned towards Xue Yan as he said,

"I am sorry I didn't ask for your permission. But I want you to know that I don't spare my enemies."

"It's fine." replied Xue Yan, as she looked towards Erlik with a smile,

"That man deserved death, but I do want to request you to not kill everyone here, even though there are plenty of people to wronged me there are ones who helped me too."

Erlik smiled at the girl as he replied,

"Sure"

He took her hand and both of them disappeared, reappearing in a closed room.

"Why are we here…?" asked Xue Yan as her face turned beet red. She knew why they were here.

"Even though you didn't fulfill my request, I'm here to take you as mine." replied Erlik as he conjoined his lips with hers, his tongue invading her mouth.

Xue Yan embraced him as she was led to the bed, her clothes falling off as her beautiful body was laid bare, covered with nothing but her underwear. Her gasps filled the room as her body heat started increasing. Their lips separated as a strand of saliva fell on the floor.

She was laid down on the bed as her face turned red. She spread her arms open and embraced Erlik.

The night hadn't even come so this wasn't ending anytime soon.
