Are we going to survive?

"What's your name mister?" my dad asked. "My name is Steve and this is my daughter Stacy, she's 7 years old" the guy responded. "Why did you leave your house, Steve?" my mom asked, "when this all started, Stacy and I were on a little picnic to the park and we couldn't go back home" he replied. Time went by and my parents and Steve kept on talking.

Dringgg Dringgg Dringgg. My dad's phone was buzzing, he picked the call and talked to the person on the other end. A few minutes later my dad hanged up, "we gotta leave now." "What do you mean?" my mom asked, "how can we leave?". "My friend who is in the army told me that there are eviction planes ready to evict us, we need to leave" my dad replied. Steve and his daughter stood up ready to leave, my parents and I wore our backpacks and took everything we need.

My dad slowly unlocked the front door and checked outside to see whether there is anyone or no, it was empty. My dad signaled to us to leave, we all ran to the car and drove away. On our way to the center of the city we passed by a lot of crashed buildings, burnt places, corpses all over the place, it was truly horrific.

We finally reached the center of the city where the eviction is taking place and what we saw was unbelievable. How did this happen? Why is it empty in here? Did everyone get attacked? Did they run away? Or did we get the wrong information? Where shall we hide now? I hope we make it out alive.
