Chapter Three

[At the Mansion]

Upstairs on the third floor behind a door covered by a beautiful color curtain, stands an empty hallway cover in dust; along with a few household spiders as its only company.

.

As the door pushes open, with a creaking sound; the dead silent house had finally gotten some life again, but it didn't last long as the door slowly creaks until it was slam shut; like a dungeon, the hallway was cold and stuffy with leak stains on the walls, from the harsh weather over time.

.

A moment of silence passed, and the sudden noise of shoes unevenly tapping on the dusty rugged floor.

.

Making the sound of life again, walking together on that lonely path was none other than Kimberly and Eric's footsteps echo on the floor of the empty halls with a lantern as their source light; as they walk towards the end.

Standing in front of the door.

Within the farthest room in the back; with busted inches holding on to dear life, Kimberly takes the lantern from Eric and holds it towards the old-fashioned door, while he unlocks it and pushed it open.

.

In a room with a very small window that's too high to reach, was the only source of light that Aiko Lee had as she sits on the floor with her unconscious mother, looking at her with sad eyes; Aiko turns around when she heard the door she has been trying to open hours ago, click then unlock creaking as it's slowly pushed open.

.

Without wasting, any time; before whoever it was to fully come in; Aiko pushes the knife she found somewhere in the room, in the back of her pants while holding the pen in her mouth.

.

Well on her guard; as the door pushes fully open Aiko's face and body relax when seeing the person who's standing at the door and says " Eric thank god it's you!-" "mmm" a light groan came from behind Akio getting her attention making her look back to her mother.

.

Missing the chance to see Kimberly coming out from behind the wall, Aiko heard the heels as they tap down hard enough the floor to get back Aiko's attention.

.

Thinking it probably helped that Eric brought with him, turns around while saying "We need to get her to a hospital q-..." totally shocked by the view of Eric holding Kimberly in front of him with his hand around her waist while kissing down on her neck in a way he had done to her for in years.

.

Seeing Aiko's face turned pale as if she could die from shock any minute made Kimberly smile under her fake teary-eyed and pitiful look.

.

Turning to Eric whispering and saying " As I thought, i...I just can't do this, she's still my father-daughter even if she's a bastard child" Eric's heart sank once he realizes how delicate Kimberly was, all this time he thought she was a strong woman who had the strength to bring the weight on her small shoulder.

.

Eric was taking in by this, and seeing her shaking body that shows her angry and face that shows sadness, he could see how she was too kind and forgiving to her enemy and was determined to shield her delicate heart by taking charge.

"mmm," the sound of lightly groaning from Aiko's mother brought her back to reality from her momentary shock, "what's going on!" Aiko somehow finds the courage in her aching heart to asked.

Eric looks disgusted at Aiko for putting on an innocent act even though she the one who distorted Kimberly's home and seduces him just to break her delicate heart!

.

Aiko was confused by the way Eric look at her but was even more confused with the paper he tosses in front of her, "What is this?" "Can't you read?.. I'm divorcing you!" Aiko felt another painful tag in her heart, "why?" she asks on the brink of tears.

"Save your fake crocodile tears for someone else! " Aiko gasp at the sudden out bust and glared at Kimberly who was standing behind Eric enjoying herself.

Before Aiko says anything Kimberly reacts to the glare just in time by holding onto Eric with shaking hands "may.be w..e. should .s..stop?"

.

Eric saw when Aiko glares a Kimberly and felt her shake hands hanging onto him; as if she crying for help, Eric slightly turn and see the look on her face and it made him angry at Aiko "how dare you to look at her like! hurry up and sign the damn papers! or I'll leave you and that hoe mother of yours to die!!"

.

Aiko was filled with rage at them to both but didn't dare to talk as the fear of her mother dying because of her words sank in deep within her chest, be ameliorated by her husband, she gave her whole heart and Life to and by the sister who never once showed her kindness.

.

The pen in Aiko's mouth that's was going to be used as a weapon and now being used as a bargaining chip for her and her mother's life; writing her name like a will, as year's of her life flashes through her mind and the tears from her heart that betrays her words thoughts of her mind.

Eric picks up the papers that Aiko sign and hands them to Kimberly, taking the lantern in her hand "Now that this is over, let's make it official" Eric said throwing the lantern on the ground in front of Aiko, shocking everyone even Kimberly

herself.
