The Fairy King's System

*** A boy who had a tragic life got reincarnated in another world as a Nature Spirit, the weakest variant of fairies. With the new life that was given to him, he will do his best to make it a fulfilling life, by at least surviving in this harsh world that he was reincarnated on. Where every creature could easily kill him, while at the same time climbing his way on top. This is a story about a seemingly harmless and weak creature, but sometimes looks could be deceiving. Hardship often had something in return, but every action has consequences along with it. *** Not all fairies have wings... or tails. Sometimes all you need to have is a glowing circular body to be the strongest. *** Warning: If you came here expecting a Kind/Hero MC you are in the wrong book. I'm not a fan of cinnamon rolls. And no, he is not a pure-hearted person, but also, he is not a killing machine who will kill anything that has life in it. I'm not a fan of robots. If you are not a fan of underhanded or straight-up manipulative MC, leave this book alone. This book is not for everyone. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. ***

Chapter 80: Gratitude And Fondness

Inside the great forest of Fiora, near the flower field of Muren valley. The sun slowly turned pale as the indication that the night was about to come.

The sound of rustles creaked as the massive Black horned boar walked inside the shaded wilderness while eating the grasses it passed on.

Not far away from it, 4 certain people peaked their heads as they gawked at the massive boar.

Clint pulled his sword. "Here is the plan, I will go first and Levy follow me up while Gwen will-"

Suddenly, a massive boulder hurled towards the Black horned boar and crashed to the boar's head, and instantly crushed its skull. While squealing its last, the boar fell to the ground.

Clint closed his eyes. "That was good too, I guess?"

Amiya stood up and walked towards the corpse of the boar. "At least, give the poor guy a chance to fight back you know?"

"That's the last one isn't it?" Roshan asked while just gazing at the boar and standing in their back. In his hand, he was holding a brown sack containing the quest materials he needed.

Gwen stood up. "Yes, thanks for your help."

"I thought you don't want to join our hunting, Roshy?"

"I got bored by just waiting for you to finish what were you doing and I realized, it's almost sundown."

Clint cut off the horns of the Black horned boar. "How come an adventurer like you are in Class C? With that strength, you should be in higher ranks by now."

"I'm a newbie... and I don't have a party."

Clint instantly nodded. "Oh, that explained a lot."

"And here I thought, the both of you belong in the same party," Gwen stated as she walked. While walking, a certain empty potion bottle was swaying on her waist. It was hung using a thin metal chain in her belt.

At the same time, both Roshan and Levy shook their heads.

Gwen chuckled after seeing them moved with synchronization. "You 2 are adorable."

"Please don't put the 2 of us and the word adorable in one sentence. I'll go first." Roshan said as he walked out.

They started to walk towards the entrance of the forest.

"He is not into people, is not he?" Amiya remarked while staring at Roshan walking ahead.

Levy chuckled. "He's always like that, despite his occasional sass, he's a kind person when you finally know him."

Clint nodded at her statement. "He saved us back there after all."

Gwen turned her eyes to Levy. "You, Levy, why you are not in Class B yet? I have heard you already got your promotion."

"I still don't have a party to join to."

Amiya stared at her. "Really? I thought you are already part of the party of... what his name again, the handsome bulky man with a cute mustache? Drunkus? Ah! Derus!"

"Derus will definitely like you instantly if she heard what you just said. Though, I'm not part of his party. But, I'm pretty sure that I can find one soon."

Gwen nodded. "I hope so."

Levy smiled. "Best of luck to me."

The 4 of them stopped upon catching up on Roshan currently standing at the intersection of the forest.

"Our carriage is just up ahead," Roshan announced.

"I see, our carriage is currently waiting for us in that direction." Gwen pointed her staff in a different direction.

"We have to separate from here then."

Gwen nodded. "I understand, again, you have our thanks for helping us earlier."

"I don't mind." Roshan walked towards the direction of their carriage.

Levy waved her hand. "I'll go too!"

"Thanks for accompanying us, Levy." Gwen waved her hand too.

Beside her, Amiya waved her hand up high and Clint just smiled at Levy while nodding his head.

After confirming that they were gone, Gwen walked towards the opposite direction where their carriage was located. "Let us go home."

Amiya stretched her arms. "Carry me, Gwen, I am tired."

"If you want, I will carry you, Amiya."

"I can still carry 2 of you, Clinton."

The night arrived at the capital of Ashendar kingdom. A certain carriage stopped right in front of the huge white fountain at the center of the road.

Roshan and Levy jumped out and walked towards the foot of the fountain.

Roshan walked ahead but immediately stopped and gazed at Levy that currently spacing out.

"I'm glad they finally came back to their usual attitude after the tragedy that happened at their party."

Roshan's body rotated and turned on her. "You are quite fond of them."

"Of course, I did multiple joint party quests with them before, unlike the other nobles around, they are a bunch of kind people. I can safely say that I know them well enough." Levy pouted while narrowing her eyes. "I must say they are indeed fun to be with. You know what, Roshan... I just thought."

Levy looked up at Roshan and immediately shook her head.

"I think it won't work," Levy responded on her own idea.

"You want to join their party?"

Levy gripped the bag he was holding. "To be honest, I don't know."

Roshan's lips rose. "Then let's try."

Levy's forehead instantly wrinkled. "Let's try? You're including yourself? I can't believe it."

Roshan shrugged. "The choice is either them or a bunch of annoying people in the guild, and besides, all 3 of them fit the criteria for my ideal party mate, all 3 of them are not extremely talkative and oozing with unnecessary energy, I think."

"Wow, you are really serious about that criterion of yours, huh?"

"Do whatever you want, if you have decided not to join them, good to me. But if you have decided to join their noble party, I'll go with you. Whichever you choose doesn't matter to me anyway." Roshan walked out and left Levy behind.

Levy just watched him slowly disappear. However, her eyes slowly flickered. She held her head as she trembled.

"Not again..." She murmured with a weakening voice.

For a few seconds, Levy remained looking down. Her shoulder violently shivered.

And using a cold and furious voice, she spoke while staring in the direction Roshan went using her sharp gaze.

"Why? Am I not enough? My Fairy?"
