24 Chapter 23: Sleeping Queen
At the part of the cave system where a certain species of gigantic spiders were dominant. Where the entire place was covered in sticky white webs that would ensnare any monsters that tried to pass.
The cries of the cave wolves that currently trap inside were resonating around the area.
"This place looks like a mess."
He floated past through the web-filled passage. On his way, he saw some cocoons that containing some of the corpses of the monsters that were caught by the sticky webs.
The owner of the webs immediately sense his arrival and revealed itself.
[Venom Spider Level 20.]
The Venom Spider's gigantic white body emerged from the webs and its countless red eyes darted on him.
"Anything but spider!"
The Venom jumped on him, a careless attack that resulted from the Venom spider's lack of understanding about its current enemy.
"At least don't make it too obvious that you're underestimating me!"
He activated his Wind magic.
This was the first time that he used his skill after it evolved. And what happened next was unprecedented.
A powerful burst of Wind emerged around him and instantly cut the Venom spider into pieces, but the wind current was so overwhelming that it also propelled him to the wall.
"Dammit!" He screamed as his body collided against the wall and bounced to the ground.
"I never thought that the one that's gonna kill me is my own skill. What's up with that power output?"

"I need to tone down my skill, attacking with full force is no longer a good idea."
He floated towards the passage.
"Back to the topic. I'm gonna burn this place to the ground!"
He continued his path while continuously blasting a flamethrower to the walls aiming for the webs and Venom spiders inhabiting it.
One after another the Venom spiders that dominating the passage were annihilated.
Some tried to jump on him but they got sliced into minced before getting close, while their webs were completely useless against an enemy equipped with destructive firepower.

After few minutes, he finally got out of the web-filled passage.
"Pest cleared!"
However, what greeted him at the end of the passage made him stopped from advancing.
A huge cave chamber, the biggest chamber he ever had been.
He turned his gaze to the tremendous being lying on the ground. Its entire body was coiled and the only part that was completely visible was its head that equipped with strong pincers. It made the already gigantic Gaia centipede looks ridiculously small compared to it.
"What... the... hell is that?"

Out of reflex, he immediately floated back to the passage.
"No, seriously! What the hell is that? How come that horrifying monster could exist?"
With great speed, he flew away from the site.
"And I thought, I'm already done with centipedes!"
He retreated and went on another way.

In an underground hole where a Black boa was in the midst of its short slumber.
The Black boa started to move when it felt something.
The entire hole was filled with fire and the Black boa was currently being grilled alive.
He peeked his body at the entrance of the currently burning hole. "Good morning, sleepyhead. What do you want for breakfast? Grilled or medium-rare?"
The Black boa extended its head for a bite, but a sudden wind blade immediately cut the Black Boa's head in half.
"Grilled snake coming right up!"

The relentless slaughter went on. Every monster that appeared in his way ended up eradicated. The experience points he was receiving gradually decreased, that required him to slay more monster as every level passed.
By targeting the monsters that he knew he could easily defeat and could give him a substantial amount of experience points. He climbed up to the hierarchy at a drastic rate.
His domination did not just affect the cave system he was in, his existence caused a far greater effect than he was aware of.
Everything was about to change.

3 Great White wolves were trapped inside the gigantic water ball. The Great white wolves struggled and tried to swim out of the water ball but a water vortex at the center of the water ball stopped them to do so. They were getting pulled into the middle of the water ball.
In one stroke, 3 wind blades passed through them at once and decapitated them.
The three gigantic water balls disappeared and the corpses of 3 Great white wolves fell to the ground.

"That's the last ones of their pack."
He turned his gaze to the pile of dead Great white wolves lying on the ground, around 10 of them with some Great black wolves that attempted to aid the Great white wolves.
Even with their number, the battle ended with only one victor.

"Finally. It took longer than I expected. I didn't expect the last few levels to be that hard to get."
He flew towards the hole located at the wall of the cave.
"Let me just distribute my skill points."

He flew a little bit deeper into the hole where it was safe. After few minutes of searching, he finally found a perfect place. A spot that was deep enough so no monsters could reach him, but wide enough to not cause any trouble even if his body turned bigger in size.

[Affirmative.]
