The Fallen Throne 3

"I'll take the Wyvern one and the King Vulcan." you said, reaching up to grab both of the mission posters. You'd hunted Wyvern's before, you generally had to take care of them because they were too strong for even a rune knight captain to hurt much. And saving the mage of another guild would surely increase the guild's reputation, right?

"Two at once?" Max whistled, "Not taking off more than you can chew are you?"

"Taken down few wyvern's before, it won't be a big deal," you shrugged, if it was a pair of Blizzarden, that might be a problem, but not a pair of wyvern, "Never took on a King Vulcan before, but it's not far from where they're nesting by the looks of it, and like any other stupid monkey, it'll come for me the moment it senses my magic power, drooling like an idiot at the thought of taking me over, probably even more so than the average one."

"Fair enough," Max shrugged, then turned you both around, "You'll need someone to come with you for now of course, just so we can bail you out if you get in over your head, you can pick any of us to come with you, except Macao since he's the guild master."

It'd be quicker just going on your own. With your movement technique, you could get there without too much problem, real quickly. But you supposed you did join for a reason didn't you? May as well go along with it.

You nodded, "Then let's head out then," you said, and grabbed Max by the shoulder, dragging him behind you as you made for the main doors, "Master, I'm off to take care of the wyvern's and the King Vulcan, we'll be back in a few hours." you called over to Macao as you left.

"Wait me!?" Max yelped, "And what about your jacket, are you just gonna walk around shirtless like that?"

"Don't need it, I have tons of them," you shrugged, you bought clothes in bulk cuz you trashed them so much, "And yeah, what better way to show off I'm a new member of Fairy Tail?"

"...Oh god damnit," Max groaned, going limp in your hold and not resisting at all, "It's like dealing with Natsu all over again." but despite his 'protests', there was a smile on his face.

Natsu Dragneel huh? You noted that down mentally in interest.

Halfway down the street, Max finally decided to just walk with you. Despite that though, walking through town as shirtless as you were, drew quite a bit of interest. From male and female alike.

Although, most of the attention wasn't what you were used to. People were actually outright laughing at you when they noted the guild tattoo on your back. Pointing and laughing, you even heard one say he couldn't believe some idiot had actually joined up with Fairy Tail.

You ignored them, while Max seemed to shrink a bit under the humiliating laughter. Honestly, you wouldn't think this was once a town that his guild have saved dozens if not more times throughout the years.

How quickly the sheep were to turn on their heroes huh?

Either way, you picked up your pace and left the town behind, marching right passed the gate guards and out into the open roads of the countryside, and then onto the grasslands towards the forest area.

"So, what are you going to go for first?" Max asked in curiosity, perking up when the mocking gazes of the people in town were left behind, "Or rather, how are you even going to find them? It's a pretty big forest."

"Simple enough," you shrugged, and before Max could say anything, you released your magic power into the air. Just your raw magical energy, not shaping it in any shape or form. A massive, shimmering aura of glittering cobalt blue power enshrouded your form, and struck up into the air in a massive pillar of power, weighing down so heavily the ground at your feet began to buckle and crack, "Wyvern's are apex predators, and as descendants of dragons are very prideful and won't take a challenge lying down."

"Jeez, what insane magic power!" Max exclaimed, shielding his face with his arms and stepping back.

You didn't have to wait for long. Maybe about thirty seconds at most before a pair of shrieking roars shook the air, and two massive green shapes shot up out of the forest and into the sky above the tree line.

They locked in on you quickly. How could they not with power piercing into the sky after all? And immediately roared in unison again and made rapid flights towards your position.

When they were about fifty feet away in the sky, and beginning to dive towards you, you got a close look at them. They were big of course, a bit bigger than average by the looks of it, but not something you couldn't deal with.

"Still, god are these things ugly." you commented, smirking.

"Shit here they come!" Max warned, "Get ready!"
