Chapter 1:Failure (1)

In a dark city filled with rot and decay, the rain pouring on these unfortunate souls caught outside, a man covered in blood ran in these strangely quiet roads.Looking at his body one would notice that where his right arm should've been it was surprisingly empty with blood leaking out of the wound as he strained his battered body to continue running.

Looking behind the man one would notice flashes of lights appearing and disappearing as if showing how fleeting his state of existence was right now,as his vision blurred...Refocusing himself he made a sudden turn to his left running into a street that looked to have not been trodden on for decades with how many potholes and dirt was there.

Running down this street at a speed that was thought to be inhuman he made it to the end of it where a massive brick-wall was located at but instead of stopping he sped up as he suddenly vanished into the wall.

(Ethan's Pov)

"Ha...ha...h...I made, but it seems as if I don't have much time left to prepare for the [][][][][] as 'They' are coming" Remembering the horrors that he went through as he looked at his non existent arm he had a chill manifest on his back and pure fear on his handsome face that was currently riddled in scars.

Thinking of this his eyes swam across the small room containing a bed, wardrobe with a picture on top of it and table looking for it.The thing that caused all this trouble for him as he saw it on the wooden table. A simple rustic watch that looked to have been through the times from all the scratches on it.

Flipping the watch over he read the back of it once more making sure he understood the instructions.

"Break and mend, I built the breath. [][][][] hunt now, drawn to life. Not Real, yet Real all the Same. And Frit and Fraught with thought and zest and gest no blunt woes. Dodge, duck, pray, train, crawl, run, crush the vile [][][][]. Cry not, try not, do not hold out hope. Your life, your aim will save those with [][][][][]."~ [][][][][][]

Reading this he wandered what this paragraph written on it men't and who wrote it as some of the words on it were too blurred even for his enhanced eyes to read.

Snapping out of his curiosity was the banging sounds ringing on the barrier he set up."Tsk,I knew the illusion wouldn't confuse them for long...but I'm going to miss this place"Ethan said as he stared at a picture of a family of five with one out of two of the boys looking very similar to him.

"Haaaaaaa...Teleport" Ethan said as light gathered around him as the space itself ruptured as he stepped through.

(Sometime later)

"Sorry sire, he's not here"A man said clad in all black metal armour said to another man dressed in black priest clothes.

"It seems the blessing of our Creator was not with us...I'll relay this to 'them'"The priest said as the warmth that should've been in the priests eyes were completely devoid of it only frigid contempt.

"But...will they really go after him sire"The man said as he looked at his lord in fear.

"They have not but the choice to do it"The priest said when he suddenly ran out of the illusion followed by his minion.

*Boooooooooooooommmmmmmmm*

"Ethaaaaaaannnnnnn!!!!!"The priest yelled as he looked at the devastation surrounding him.

"Sire should I call the..."The knight in black said as his head fell to the ground

"Failure to protect me, means Death!!!"The priest said as he slowly dusted his robe and walked out of the street, all the while the rain not touching any part of his robe leaving the body of his unsuspecting minion behind.

(Sometime later)

"Haaaaaaa,I finally made it"Ethan said looking at a natural looking cave on the side of a mountain as he made his way slowly through it to the end where he saw a alchemy table filled with ingredients and beakers ,a bean bag large enough for a person to sit cross legged and a book shelve with only one book that had neither a cover nor a title.

"Now comes the stressful part "Ethan smiled as he made his way to the alchemy table.
