Chapter-9: Joining the Student Council

"I hope you both have understood your jobs?..." Asked the senior member of the committee as he patiently explained every rule and every regulation, Erik and Mari had to follow.

The Public Morals Committee was a High School organization that was responsible for policing those who break school rules. Overall, the job of the Public Morals Committee was to uphold the public moral on campus.

"I understand...." Erik and Mari, who had entered the room not too long ago nodded their heads as they reviewed the responsibilities and power they now possessed.

'The primary duties of the Public Morals Committee are to identify and stop individuals who use magic in violation of school rules.'

'After the Public Morals Committee member decides the necessary punishment, he or she will be presented before the heads of the three school organizations.'

'In short, we are both the police and the prosecutor. The Public Morals Committee member's mission is to halt any conflicts, magic or non-magic related, upon discovery.'

'If magic was used in a conflict, intervention by the committee is mandatory. This task clearly requires overwhelming magical prowess to subjugate the opponent.'

'Our primary objective is patrolling school grounds in search of any rule-breakers or conflicts. The committee and its responsibilities are heavily reliant on ability, each member holds a high level of combat prowess, which is necessary for subjugating students that break school rules.'

'Our level of activity will always increase greatly during Recruitment Week at the beginning of every school year.'

'The Chairman of the committee has the power to recognize a formal match between two students as a legitimate extracurricular activity by the abidance of school rules.'

'This is a measure to prevent the match from becoming a brawling incident — an act of violence forbidden by the school rules.'

'This also encourages students to settle disagreements that can't be settled by words alone with force.'

'Every member on the committee has the following powers but myself as the Representative for the committee, am able to exercise more power due to me basically belonging to the Student Council along with the Chairman.'

'We are allowed to use our C.A.Ds on the campus and are given red colour soldier straps to showcase our identity as enforcers.'

'Though my presence is requested at the Student Council Room rather than patrolling since me being a representative also restricts my movement on the campus.'

This year freshman had many famous names, Watanabe Mari was famous for being an extremely combat effective magician, Saegusa Mayumi had the title of [Elven Princess] because of her skills in long-ranged combat and finally, Juumonji Katsuto, being basically invincible to the magic expect Tatsuya's experimental magic.

These three students had the highest hype out of any other students. Erik had to work hard to cement his position within the governing body of the school so to be under control when Tatsuya joins the school.

After getting debriefed by the senior committee member, both Erik and Mari exited the conference room and walked in the alleyway.

"I will be heading towards the Student Council Room to help deal with all the paperwork for our Public Morals Committee, the room is quite organized so I will focus on clearing out the back-log."

Erik had decided to firstly finish the back-log that had gathered on the work-list after which he would focus on preparing for the upcoming recruitment week.

"Hmm...I will be patrolling the school grounds. Let's meet again at the cafeteria after the first shift is finished?"

"Okay....."

"Mayumi will also be there...."

"Hm.....I don't see any problem with that though I assume both of you would have caught up with each other?"

"Yes, we did talk a lot!...."

"Hmm.....see you later Watanabe-san."

After saying his part, both of them went separate ways as Erik moved towards the Student Council Room whereas Mari moved towards the auditorium.

Moving forward with no effort, Erik soon arrived in front of 'the' door, with [Student Council Room] written in bold on the surface of the door.

He placed his glove covered right palm on the doorknob and twisted open the door leading to the most important room within the whole campus.

Unfamiliar faces mixed with a single familiar face came into his view. A long conference table similar to the one in the committee room could be seen within the room.

Around the table sat a few figures, 6-individuals to be accurate.

1. Uchiha Sasuke, The Current President

2. Might Guy, The Current Treasurer

3. Hatake Kakashi, The Current Secretary

4. Senju Hashirama, The Current Vice-President

5. Uzumaki Naruto, The Current Public Morals Committee Head

6. Ichihara Suzune, The current Course-1 Representative

Erik walked inside and shut the door behind him, his long white hair hid his left chartreuse phosphorescent eyes. The Black earrings gently swayed before regaining tranquillity.

He calmly gazed at the individuals sitting before him and politely introduced himself.

"I am Erik Saltzman, The Representative of the Public Morals Committee, nice to meet you all...."

He fluently conveyed his thoughts with the assistance of his tongue and waited for the others to respond to his introduction.

"Welcome, Erik-san! As the president, I am representing the entire Student Council in celebration of a new addition to our council."

"Welcome, Erk..."

"Welcome...."

"Welcome...."

One by one, all the existing individuals welcomed Erik, speaking a few words of encouragement towards the new addition.

"Come sit with us Erik-san! We have lots of work to do, the recruitment week is near! We need to make sure everything is prepared and ready to be implemented."

"Hmm....." Erik moved towards one of the empty chairs and sat down, his position near the bonsai.

"Before we begin, let us all introduce ourselves...."

"I am Uchiha Sasuke, the president of the Student Council, you can call me Emo-boi...."

"I am Might Guy, the treasurer for the various clubs, you can call me Guy-sensei, YOUTH!"

"Myself Hatake Kakashi, the secretary of the president, you can call me Sharingan-Kakashi...."

"Senju Hashirama, the current vice-president, you must address me as Nature-boi!"

"My name is Uzumaki Naruto, the current Public Morals Chairman, I am to be addressed as Jinchuriki-san...."

"Ichihara Suzune, the class rep of course-1 students....."

"Good, now that the introduction is finished, let us focus on the paperwork...."

(A/N:-The student council members will not be important to the story, I just named them for the sake of naming them, they aren't relevant to the story so don't get confused due to their names. Only Suzune is important.)
