Chapter-110 The Beginning

Siren!

The night wasn't so peaceful tonight.

Red and blue lights lit up the roads as the official cars surrounded the whole area.

Certainly setting up parameters to make sure the area of the incident is isolated.

At the very center of this isolation zone; certain people wearing official clothes could be spotted.

One of them, Major Kazama was knee-deep within the sea of the bodies; at the [Maddison Park].

Rotting flesh, decomposing organs, crumbling bones, and what not?

Surrounded the capable Major who had a plain expression on his stoic face.

Even so, all of his focus was on a certain corpse laying not very far from him.

Unlike the others, this one was covered in green veins that seemed to be alive and moving!

'[The Puppet Master] or rather Overhaul was killed by another rogue magician; code name [Sin of the Dragon]'

'But why? Can it be that he killed Overhaul due to the latter's connection to [No Head Dragon]?'

'Or did someone hired him to kill Overhaul so that no one can have the nuclear codes?'

'So many questions but not a single answer!'

The man asking the question turned to look towards the band of armored individuals; who kinda had a hand in Overhaul's death.

Yanagi, Tatsuya, Naotsugu, and Erika.

Three of these four individuals belonged to the military and were all loyal and valuable assets of the government.

Whereas Erika herself wasn't exactly a nobody; being regarded as the [Secret Weapon of the Chiba Family] by the Chiba Clan.

Each one of these individuals is vastly different from the other but tonight!

All of them had gathered here with similar motives; that being to kill/capture Overhaul.

"Give me a detailed report on what had happened here!"

Major Kazama spoke in an authoritative tone as motioned towards his fellow Major to speak.

"Yes sir!"

Yanagi calmly walked towards Major Kazama and started explaining the situation to the veteran Major.

Even though Yanagi was also a Major, the 101-battalion was lead by Major Kazama who had absolute authority within the special forces.

"Overhaul used a [Forbidden Magic] to overwhelm our forces but before any real damage could be done; the rank-Z rogue magician, [Sin of the Dragon] appeared on the battlefield."

"He blocked Special Agent's path and himself killed Overhaul using some kind of unknown magic."

"We didn't try to save the target or deter the newcomer due to the circumstances being in favor of the opposition."

"After killing Overhaul a blackish-purple aura emerged from his body; covering the whole park within his baleful aura."

"He once again used some unknown magic similar to the [Forbidden Magic] that the target used to summon the dead."

"This one controlled all the dead magicians and made them kill each other until the [Forbidden Magic] finally ended."

"Whether [Sin of the Dragon] did this to protect us or deal with the dead magicians; is unknown to me."

From Yanagi's words, it was clear that they had no idea about the motives of the rank-Z magician.

Sigh!

Letting out a deep sigh; Major Kazama let go of the tension that had been building up inside him.

He looked towards his fellow Major and spoke in a low tone.

"Hm....very well then, clean up here and report back to the base."

"Sir, yes sir!"

Yanagi formally acknowledged his senior's orders and started to wrap up things on his end.

(Inside the Dream Building)

Clatter!

Under the beautiful chandelier, both Erik and Kyouko were having their dinner.

The sound of a fork and knife hitting the glass plate made it easier to conclude that silence prevailed.

[Sin of the Dragon] stood beside Erik while watching Kyouko's every single move.

She wore a bland expression on her face as she took the last bite of her food before cleaning her mouth using a napkin.

She picked up an empty glass and filled it with water; before gulping it down in one go.

Deep breath!

"I understand the consequences of my actions and I will not betray you so please heal Toshikazu!"

Kyouko requested Erik to heal her lover in exchange for her loyalty.

"Hm....don't worry, your boyfriend will wake up in a few hours."

Erik also cleaned his mouth after drinking some water and calmly answered Kyouko's question.

"What do you mean!?"

Kyouko questioned her new boss as he claimed that Toshikazu would wake up from his coma in a few hours.

"The reason behind Mr.Chiba being in a coma was the residual psion poisoning within his brain."

"In simple terms, Overhaul's psion had penetrated through Mr.Chiba's defense and took root within his brain."

"But now since Overhaul is dead; Mr.Chiba should wake up very soon, not to mention that he would be in top condition."

Screech!

Kyouko immediately stood up from her chair!

"I must get going, thanks for the dinner."

Saying so, she swiftly turned around and hurried towards the exit door. She really wanted to be there when her boyfriend wakes up from the coma.

"Miss Kyouko..."

Erik called out to Kyouko; the latter froze in her tracks yet didn't bother to turn back.

"I hope you keep in mind; the reason for this meeting between us."

Kyouko listened to Erik yet didn't respond and continued with her motion.

Click!

The door opens and closes!

'Erik' just smiled as his guest exited the room.

"I assume you got what you wanted?"

'Erik' turned towards [Sin of the Dragon] and asked him the question that had been plaguing his mind ever since the beginning.

"Indeed..."

He was able to read Overhaul's memories when he grabbed the latter's face to kill him using [Hollow's Touch].

He now possesses both the Nuclear Codes and the location of the Nuclear missiles.

"You believe her?"

'Erik' stood up from the head chair and gave way for [Sin of the Dragon].

"No...but she knows better than betraying me; especially after the show I put up for her."

The latter of course sat on the head chair as he leaned back to relax his body.

"What now?"

'Erik' made his way behind [Sin of the Dragon] as he questioned the latter's intentions.

"Now, I will trade these codes and location for certain information with a certain someone."

'Erik' suddenly started glowing with green color as his body structure started to change.

His tied long hair turned even longer; no longer tied.

His tall stature shrunk quite a bit; from 6'3 to 5'5.

The size of his well-toned, manly chest increased until it was no longer manly.

His rather light-brownish skin turned pure white, his magnificent "chartreuse phosphorescent eyes" turned light purplish.

The magic came undone, so did the disguise as 'Erik' turned into his true form of a beautiful woman; Yotsuba Miya.

"You are willing to put the whole world in danger just for some information?"

Miya questioned her master's intention as she stood behind him, gazing at his back.

[Sin of the Dragon].....or rather the real Erik just chuckled.

"No, of course not."

"So why?"

"Because I have faith in your son; that he would deal with that 'certain individual' for me when the time comes."

"What do you mean!?"

"Oh! Don't worry, Miya."

"To repay your eternal allegiance, I will make sure that your son is safe; so long so he doesn't step in my way, that is!"

Erik gazed out of the window, looking at the rising sun in the distance with appreciation in his eyes.
