In the Arcane Earth, humans who previously relied on conventional technology and science had to quickly learn to master mana to survive.

Authorius, as the author of the novel, knew that in the Arcane Earth, there were only two major professions: Mage and Knight; the rest were considered as sub-professions. The primary focus of Mages was to specialize in using magic, something only possible with mana mastery, harnessing the latter to cast spells and manipulate elements.

As for the Knights, they were warriors who primarily relied on armed martial arts, with weapons and armours.

Each had its pros and cons; however, it was impossible for an individual to be a Magic-Knight without having awakened naturally, meaning born with the profession of Magic-Knight.

This last one was a profession that only the protagonist of his novel "The Hero's Advent" had. However, the protagonist did not awaken his Magic-Knight profession immediately at the age of 10, after awakening up his status window; only after some events, let's say... "traumatic," could he fully awaken his Magic-Knight profession, as he had no profession before.

"According to the settings of my novel and some information I could obtain from my previous research, the admission tests for the Arcane Academy will begin in 4 months, which gives me enough time to prepare," said Authorius with a pensive expression.
