Preparations(3)

The next day in the morning, as I was waiting for Alex, I started doing some light stretches, stretching before the swordsmanship lecture was necessary because of the cramps I get every morning, if I do not stretch then it is impossible even to move my body, the slightest movement causes pain in my body, hence stretching was important.

after about 20 minutes of stretching, Alex arrived with a gentle smile on his face,

*shiver*

for some reason, seeing that smile made chills run down my spine,

Then Alex gave me a wooden sword, although the sword looked the same as usual, this one was around 3 times heavier,

"swing that downward about 1000 times in proper form"

Alex told me,

*phew*

taking a deep breath I got in form to perform a downward strike,

for some reason, Alex was standing beside me holding a wooden sword too,

trying to ignore him as best as I could, I started slashing downward, counting in my head,

'1....2....3...4...5...6...7...8...ow!'

As I was swinging the sword, Alex hit my hand with his wooden sword,

"your form was lax there, if you break your form even for a second, you will have to start again"

Alex said as he grinned,

'A devil, this guy is a devil'

*gulp*

I gulped in fear and thought,

"By the way, I have canceled your classes for today, you will be doing a downward strike until you can do it a thousand times without breaking your form"

*haa*

with no choice but to accept my fate,I sighed with tears in my eyes and started training,

'1...2...3...4...5...6...23...24...25...ow!'

"again!"

'1...2...3....13...14...ow!'

'again!"

'1...2...27...28...ouch!'

"again!"

'1...2.....78...79...ouch!'

"again!"

this continued till evening,

'1...2...428...459...ow!'

"haa.."

Alex sighed,

"Young master, you are preparing for the First Academy entrance exam right?"

Alex asked, to which I nodded my head,

"All the students there have been practicing swordsmanship from when they were 6 years old, but you only started 4 months before exams..."

Alex rubbed his forehead and said,

"The amount of applicants there are for the First academy is around 20 million but only about 3000 pass,"

*sigh*

Alex sighed again,

"If you want to have even the slightest chance of getting into the first academy you have to increase the amount of training to about 5 to 6 times than it is now, from tomorrow we are increasing the training for you to 5 hours a day, I have already got your parents permission, just eat an sleep for today..."

Alex said as he gathered his equipment and left,

*pant**pant*

only I was left there gasping for air and biting my lips in frustration,

'I know...I know damnit!'

*bang!*

I slammed my fist into the floor, frustration boiling over.

how could I of all people not know, that my chances of getting into the academy were not even 5%, if it was that easy to get into the academy then it would not have been called the first academy, the people that gather there are the top of the top.

With how late I was starting it was almost nigh impossible to get into the academy, no amount of cheats could help me in this,

'but I will do it, no, I have to do it!'

if I could not get into the first academy, the chances of surviving in this world were almost zero,

with a raging determination, I got up from the floor and sat in meditation,

The only thing that could help me now was mana,

with my mana control technique that made me a genius, I somehow had to get my mana capacity to above average before the entrance exam,

*phew*

I sighed and focused all my attention on the mana that entered into my body as I breathed in, Normally when breathing, mana enters into the body It remains in the lungs and then gets exhaled out of the body,

But using my mana control technique, I stopped the mana from escaping and movies it towards the heart,

it may be a minuscule amount, but hey, every drop counts,

'why could I absorb all the mana if it was divided into elements?'

that's because my [mana art] had made my body compatible with all four basic elements,

the proof of which was my white mana,

so, for the next three hours, I just sat there,

inhaling, absorbing the mana, exhaling,

*rriiinngg*

I opened my eyes listening to the alarm on my phone, It was time for dinner.

And so, days went by in a flash, receiving the demon training from Alex from morning till afternoon, tutoring from the instructors in the evening, and absorbing mana at night.

and there were finally three days left before the entrance exam.

All my instructors had given me a break to relax myself before the entrance exam,

One last thing was left before the entrance exam,

"Status"

I muttered, responding to which a screen appeared,

*whhooooommm!!*

====================================

  *grin*

A satisfied grin appeared on my face as I viewed my status, my swordsmanship skill was finally not some random words, I had entered the basic swordsmanship realm,

there were about 5 realms of swordsmanship,

Basic

Advanced

Master

Expert

Perfection

Only about 20 humans to date have reached the Perfection realm of swordsmanship,

out of which around 12 were the First Awakeners, who had long since died.

Next, I took out my long sword and placed it on the table,

It was finally time for the Grant Skill to make its debut,

Mana, except for what was required for basic functions of the body, can be used as the player wanted, without having to worry about his body, as the increase in mana means an increase in capacity the mana lost from the body is replenished faster, especially if the player has a core.

As I touched the sword and let the mana flow through my body and into the sword,

I gave the sword a small enchantment(property) to make it extend by 30% if mana provided,

following which a square-shaped pattern appeared on the sword,

then I held the longsword in my hand, aimed towards a chair, and supplied it with mana,

*stab*

suddenly the sword extended and stabbed the chair,

cutting off the mana and looking at the sword that returned to its original size, a satisfied smile appeared on my face,

'This skill is really useful'

I thought,

Now, it was time for the famous exam.
