Chapter Two

The next day at school, Mandy and Mimi are to accompany Olu to go and see the math teacher.

They are presently standing in front of the staffroom door, Mandy and Olu are wondering how to proceed because it is general knowledge that students are not allowed into the staffroom, unless invited, and since none of them were invited you can understand their temporary moment of pause.

As Mandy and Olu we're still contemplating the colour and design of the door, Mimi stretches out her hand and gives out a quiet tap on the door, judging from the way the other two girls jump straight out of their skin, it might as well have been gunshots and fireworks going off at the same time.

"Come in", replies a snooty voice from the other side of the door. The three girls bustle in carefully and as quietly as possible.

"You're aware that students are not allowed into the staff room unless invited", Mrs Agu says without looking up from the sheet she's writing on. To an extent, the woman's present posture gives a measure of relief to the girls standing in front of her desk because at that point anything and I mean anything is better than eye contact with the malicious woman.

There is silence for a few seconds and this is broken by an elbow jab from Mimi to Olu's ribs. Words immediately shootout from Olu's mouth like a cannon, "I'm here to give this to you ma", Olu stammers out.

This fractured statement causes the math teacher to pause in her furious scribbling and she slowly looks up to the paper in Olu's hand

"What is this?", She asks in that same snooty voice like a dead and decomposing rat was being offered to her, For some reason this tone of voice causes something to change and click in Olu's psyche, if we had an X-ray we will notice a notable change in the structure of her spine, for some inexplicable reason her backbone has gotten stronger and her skin has gotten thicker… Well, people weren't playing when they said that there is power in words.

On the left side off the newly changed Olu, Mimi drops her pen accidentally and bends over to pick it up. Naturally it will take a normal human being 1 or 2 seconds to pick up a pen that is right in front of them but for Mimi it's presently taking her 7 seconds, which is all the time she needs to do what she wants to do with the math teachers shoes.

"It's my medical report", says Olu in a sturdy voice that surprises Mandy and causes the math teacher to give her a wary look and even makes Mimi who is still under the table to pause for a second.

She takes the piece of paper with considerable reluctance and barely concealed trepidation... She has heard lots of stories about teachers that flogged students to death in other parts of the country and she is wondering and worrying if she has punished the student in front of her to an extent that required medical attention.

After reading the doctor's report, a look of relief can be seen in every inch of the woman's person and directly on the tail of that expression is the look of complete and utter calculation, how she is thinking that if she does not show the girl standing right in front of her some human sympathy, her job might likely be in danger, after all she is an employee and all the over privileged brats in the school are responsible for her steady paycheck.

She hands over the medical report to the student and gives her a falsely sugary smile and in careful tones apologizes for the misunderstanding of the day before and ensures that it will not happen again but because of her natural nature of not allowing anyone that is socially better than her to feel like they have a moment of victory, she follows up the apology with another falsely cheery comment, "But dear, don't you think that you will be better suited at a school for the blind?",

If this question was directed at the Old Olu, yes the Olu of just a few minutes ago, her eyes would have gotten very hydrated, and humid, but at the moment the new and improved Olu gives the teacher a response that makes the smirk on her face to fall like an avalanche

"Mrs Yarsa suggested that I stay back and finish my education here since I'm nearly through".

Mrs Yarsa is the guidance counselor for the senior students and is also the principal of the school .

The teacher, this time struggles to collect herself and says "well, since all that has been straightened out I guess you all can leave", When they all clear out of the staff room, they all let out an audible sigh.

Mandy was relieved for Olu's sake while Mimi was relieved for other diabolical and mysterious reasons, because it was lunch time, the three best friends made their way to the cafeteria.

In the school cafeteria, the three girls settle themselves at their regular seats. Mimi pulls out her phone and starts fiddling with it, the school is pretty strict about using cell phones during class hours but it is fine to use it during lunch break.

As Olu and Mandy are about to start eating their sandwiches, all of a sudden they hear is stifled giggle from Mimi.

"What's up?", The two girls ask in unison and Mimi just responds by holding out her smartphone,

On the phone a muted video of a tall and ridiculous looking boy can be seeing furiously scratching his unmentionables, due to the fact that Olu cannot see the video too clearly, Mandy has to explain it to her and on closer inspection, she realises that the boy scratching his skin off, is Chuck.

When the laughter died down, Olu and Mandy throw a direct and unwavering stare at Mimi, she tries valiantly to avoid their direct Stares"… what?.

"What did you do?", They ask in unison again because they know what their best friend is capable of doing and just the day before, Chuck was picking on Olu and the two girls noticed a gleam in Mimi's eyes that spelt trouble for anyone that caused the gleam.

As Mimi was trying to answer the question, all of a sudden, the cafeteria doors burst open and out comes Mrs. Agu hopping from one leg to the other and also scratching her feet furiously, everybody's head swivels round faster than a merry-go-round and in a matter of seconds camera phones we are up and filming,

The three girls can be seen again laughing their heads off.

Later that night, videos of the malicious maths teacher and handsome bully went viral on all social media platforms and the next day there was a very distinct and conspicuous absence of the aforementioned individuals.
