Preface

Guilty Pleasures

She found a picture of them on the beach they took while they stayed at the resort. She smiled. He had put no caption in them. Then, the most recent post was of the altar in a church with the caption 'her day' with an emoji of a bride alone. It looked beautiful, altar arranged with pink and peach roses in the from of an arch. She stopped smiling as tears ran down her face. She couldn't handle and stopped looking at the pictures. Suddenly her phone began to ring, she noticed that it was an unknown number with the code she had no idea of which place.

"Hello," she picked up the phone.

"Is this Destiny?" a woman's voice asked her from the other end. Her voice shivered and cracked in between crying.

"Yes, this is Destiny,"

"How could you?"

"Pardon?"

"How could you do this to me?"

"How could I do what? Who are you?" she couldn't hang up since the person already knows her.

"Are you even pretending now that you don't know who I am after plotting such a ridiculous thing together on my wedding day Destiny? You have no shame." Destiny then noticed the thick British accent, 'Oh no!' she thought. She understood who it was.

"Am sorry but you have got the wrong person, I am technically Fareeha, not Destiny," she said rubbish and hung up.

The phone rang again but she didn't pick, until received a text from her friend, Mohamed, and she went shocked as she read it. Unaware she couldn't help smiling. Destiny put the phone down and she peacefully laid down, happy and relieved but a bit guilty. "So is this what the plan was? But it didn't have to go this far though" she wondered.

Even though it was very wrong for her to do so. She thanked God for not giving her a more miserable ending. 'Holy cow' she thought smiling wide and drifted off to sleep.
