One more, he controlled his breathing and entered the state of clearness, removing all thoughts from his mind.
Over the past sessions, the difficulty of reaching the state of clarity had become harder and harder. This time in particular, was incredibly hard. This happened because he was getting closer and closer to his goal of successfully using magic. A goal he had had even before he died; albeit as a simple fantasy in his mind, which had transformed into his driving force ever since he figured out magic exists in this new world.
And now, he was getting even closer, which made most of his thoughts filled with greed, curiosity, and other emotions, making them harder to erase than normal logical thoughts.
'Perhaps this is why Dark mages who forsake all emotions are much stronger than normal mages… NO! Stop thinking!'
After a period of time that could only be described as painfully long, Daron finally cleared his mind, and without wasting any time, activated the propulsion and suction combination, and very soon, a black particle touched him.
However, he was not pushed out of his conscious mind this time. Instead, all the black and red particles stopped being affected by his suction.
This was an incredibly strange occurrence; however, Daron did not lose focus and was able to keep his mind clear of all thoughts, continuing the suction of the elemental particles.
Up until now, he had only been absorbing red and black particles, since those two were always the closest, and his method of absorption could not be direction towards a particular elemental particle. This was the downside of his method, unlike Traitorous' fishing method, his suction and repulsion method was far more efficient, yet it also would indiscriminately pull whatever was close closer.
Since the black particles, which was the space element, and the red, which was the fire element, had great affinity with him, they were naturally found closer to himself, which was why he only absorbed these two.
Since these two were for some reason no longer responding to his repulsion and suction, Daron would finally be able to absorb some other affinity element.
Now, the one closest to himself was the purple coloured one, which was closely followed by the silver colour.
Daron did not think, since that would cause everything to stop, and just continued…
After a long time, the purple colour merged with his hand. Followed closely by the silver, then brown. Next came 4 more purple, silver and brown colours. The blue colour was moving away from him with every moment, while the transparent particles, as well as those particles of other colours were simply unfazed by Daron's method of absorption.
As soon as the 5th brown particle hit his hand, the familiar white light covered his avatar, forcing him back to his body.
