19 Mutants

Terminus was intensely reading the contents of each discovery made by the man ..

he went from page one to page two .. where a dark pink pig .. stood on its four feet ..

correction .. thick hooves .. arrogantly ..

it's eyes were like a lion's eyes ..

the white part of the eye was entirely black ..and in the middle was a terrifying light orange iris ..

it had a bulky figure .. the old man wrote down that it weighed at least 500 pounds ..

and luckily this pig's status was written down ..

after Terminus read it's status ..he wasn't surprised .. but he lifted up his brow and looked where it said .. that the pig was classified as an infant beast ..

before he wanted to research more about the infant beast .. he began reading the entire content .. and then turned the page..

unlike the other two pages .. this one had only words written without any pictures or drawings ..

Terminus looked at the title and understood .. "So the two pages are just an entertainment .. this is where it all begins .." Terminus muttered and looked at the contents ..

as he finished reading .. he realised that no matter what humans did .. they would always end up being the most low intelligent creatures ..

although he understood .. the concept of the rankings .. he found it very odd ..

like the novels he had read .. he discovered that .. most animals .. evolved twice after the phenomenon ..

it was a drastic change .. a pigeon that evolved twice could be as big as an airplane .. and everything of it that resembled a pigeon would fade away ..

with this he knew that the old man should've at least figured out if an animal evolved twice ... would it be able to enter the Top Tier , High Tier, Middle Tier .. or Low Tier ..

and not only that.. but they should've discussed the rankings first by making soldiers face against a few of those evolved animals .. to see where their fitness lied ..

like their overall Fitness .. an animal should have one as well ..and not only that .. but with a technique's mastery should the rankings start ..

to indicate which rank suited which ..

Terminus thought that the old man was too excited and just put in the information without doing his research ..

however Terminus didn't want to lie on the same topic very often ... so he looked at the next page which was painted in brown ..

a picture of a dog .. however unlike how an evolved dog should look like .

this dog looked scarier and even looked to have shed some of its hair ..

Terminus didn't believe that it's status. Ould be correct .. because from his perspective .. the dog like wolf .. was supposed to have an abnormal speed .. it's vitality was supposed to be high but not that high..

everything he just read made him believe that every word written inside the book was false ..

with his intelligence and way of making conclusions .. he figured that they had managed to capture the dog .. and only did analysis on it .. whilst it was still fighting for its own freedom ..

after all .. in his eyes he saw that the dog didn't even look like it had gone through an entire evolution..

after that he realised something .. "It is a mutant ..??" Terminus said under his breath ..

after his research led him to human mutations and forced evolutions .. he thought that the wolf was somewhat a type of an experiment in a lab ..

and from how viscous the status said it was .. he laid his thoughts on that .. it had escaped ..

and now it's on a rampage ..

but that was not what he could only see ..

but the dog .. didn't receive any energy from the rainbow .. instead it had been transformed into what it was as of now ..

and judging from it's appearance .. he could see that the dog was growing stronger and stronger .. and if somehow it managed to digest the energy flow .. it could even break through to being a terrifying foe ...

Terminus then turned the page .. and right at the top of the page on the left .. was a picture of a lizard .. in dark green skin .. that seemed to peel off ..

and from reading it's description .. them

lizard was shedding it's skin very often ... as if going under hibernation ...

it's eyes were viscous green .. it's sharp dark black nails put on the show .. it had many pointy teeth like a grinding machine ..

it's tongue was black and from its mouth came a black substance ..

it was as big as a male lion .. its tail was as thick as an adult elephant's trunk..

*Drake*

Terminus ft the urge to let something escape from his throat ... but didn't even know what ..

but apart from that .. he found out that the Drake's name originated from a dragon related creature .. that was a whole lot different from dragons..

although they were considered family and distant cousins .. from ancient mythology .. Drake's didn't have any special given powers ..

to dragons it was considered inferior .. all it had was brute strength .. nothing more ..and other than that the drake was specifically nothing..

and looking at the information given about the big lizard .. he got the thought that these so-called scientists were just bad at naming things .. especially from judging .. their characteristics ..

"mutant as well .."

he said .. as he looked at the next page ..

*Man Devouring Plant*

he flipped the page over and he took a look at the picture and the name of the creature

it was like a human .. but much shorter .. like a dwarf .. it had goat like eyes .. the white part of its eyes were black .. its nose was crooked like an old witch's ..

it had menacing teeth .. that looked as sharp as well made Katana ...

it was dark brown in colour .. which made it even more disgusting by the pimples on its body ..

it wore shorts .. no shoes .. and carried a knife .. it's ears were pointy ..

*Goblin*

before he could even read the status .. his head shook in shock ..

reanimation wasn't possible .. and judging from the fact that the name stated that this was a goblin .. he found it hard to believe ..

a goblin after all was a creature of legends .. it kidnapped little girls and women ..

it either feasted on them or had 'fun' with them ..

and not only that .. goblins were just pure myth ..

if he hadn't done his research he might've believed that indeed it lived ..

but he couldn't ..

he frowned .. and then looked at it ..

it didn't seem to be a test subject that ran away .. instead it looked real ....

Terminus raised his head to look at what page the other students were at .. and found out most of them were still on page 3 trying to figure everything out ..

they didn't have a brain like his .. that could memorise things with just a glance ....

he looked at Jessica and heightened his eyesight..

he found visible shock on her face .. she was frowning .. he then took a peek at the page she was reading .. and found that she was already past the goblin page .. she was on a page where a rocky creature with its flesh peeking out from the spaces between the rocks ..

it's eyes laid red .. it had gills like a fish .. its mouth filled with wth multiple fangs ...

when he read it's name .. he was even more shocked ..

*Trollhound*

he then looked away in Mark's direction ..

just like Jessica .. Mark was frowning .. he was on a page where a giant tall built man .. with thick dark tanned skin .. black veins popping out ..

fangs from its jaw emerging ....

it's eyes blue .. like a human's .. it was bald .. it wore tattered clothing .. like tight jeans and jackets ..

in its hand was a small tree sharpened into a spear ..

*Orc*

Terminus relaxed and no longer looked shocked .. instead he was curious ..

it couldn't be a lie ... if these things were shown on the beast book like this .. were sure to be real ..

he then looked at the other page ... an owl like creature with antlers appeared at the top of the page ..

it had three furry fingers that were bent in the wrong way ..

it had hooves like a horse's .. a tail like a fox's ..

it's body was dark brown in colour .. it's eyes shone orange ..

"Gryphynx"

he said as he closed his eyes ..

"What is happening ...?? these things literally do not exist .. and I don't think they do .. there must be something that can help me figure this out and I doubt the system has anything for me .. "

"I guess .. I should just figure this is out with my natural talent instead of going to the system anymore ... perhaps I should take a road trip to the wild .."
