"I mean, he is very hot I can admit that but I have a boyfriend and I care about him, I would never do to him something like that just because I'm attracted and intrigued by someone else." Roselyn admits.

"Hmm, okay." She says with an uncertain tone.

"There's a party tonight. And you're INVITED!" She says jumping and in a sing-song voice

"But I have to stay with Andreas, I don't know if.."

"Come " she takes Roselyn's hand and runs out of the cafeteria, entering an empty class.

"I'll teach you this spell, it creates a double you to be in two different places at the same time. Basically, the person can talk and act like you but it only lasts for 5 hours and then disappears." Karen explains.

"Like Cinderella" Roselyn laughs.

"You have to enunciate those words 'digeris hominem' three times and imagine your figure right in front of you. When it will appear you need to repeat the sentences that you want her to learn by heart and she will pronounce them in case Andreas talk to you."

"What If Andreas finds out?" Roselyn asks worriedly.

"He won't even walk in your room, you can make her pretend to sleep and say you're sick. Trust me I've been doing it for years with my mom." She giggles.

Roselyn nods repeating the spell more times to memorize it.

"I will wait for you in front of Andreas' mansion at 10 pm." She says smiling excitedly.

Roselyn forces a smile trying to hide her concerns.

"Let's eat now" Karen says.

"Wait." Roselyn says impeding her to walk away.

Karen turns around to look at her.

Rose closes her eyes and takes a deep breath.

"I don't drink .." Rose says.

Karen frowns confused, then giggles thinking she was joking.

"No, seriously" Rose says with a serious tone of voice.

"Why?" Karen looks at her in shock.

"I had some problems with alcohol.. years ago. When I found out I was adopted I blame it all on my adoptive parents. I hated the whole world, I started to feel like.." She swallows as her eyes fill with tears.

She takes a deep breath and starts to talk again "I started to feel like I was unwanted, like if I didn't belong anywhere. I stopped living life, having fun, instead, I was just surviving, I wanted time to pass by as quickly as possible. And drinking, doing drugs, was giving me the sensation I was aspiring to. It was like I deserved the pain it was causing me successively, but that pain was worth it if it was keeping away from my mind the thought of my mom rejecting me." She wipes away a tear. Karen takes her hand, her look was sorry but supportive. She smiles at Rose, who lifts her face smiling back at her.

She takes another deep breath and clears her voice. "I just wanted you to know because maybe you don't want to go to the party with people who don't drink or.."

Karen shakes her hand. "It's fine. I'm by your side."

Roselyn hugs her thigh.

Her smile now was sincere, maybe she found, for the first time in a long time, a good friend.

"Now let's eat, I'm STARVING!" She says aloud moving her hands.

Roselyn laughs as they head to the cafeteria.

"Hamburgers and fries todayyy yeeeees!" Karen says happily. She runs to the table where Ben and Dan already took a place for both of them.

"Hello, beauties!" Says Ben raising an eyebrow and gazing at Roselyn.

"Ew!" Rose comments, after tasting the hamburger.

The boys laugh. "Trust me you'll miss it after tasting the soup on Monday" Karen replies.

"Hello, guys." Margaret says aloud, catching the attention of every student in the cafeteria. She speaks again when the silent lies in the room.

"I want to remind you all about the World Magic Convention qualifications in 1 month. So I highly recommend you all to start practice. We would be extremely proud if the final winner will be one of you."

People start whispering in the room. Karen beats her hands against the table, "this time I want to win" She says with confidence.

"But I already know who the winner will be." Ben says leaning close to Rose. He raises an eyebrow as he looks at her in the eye.

"I don't think so, I can't control my powers properly" Rose stutters.

He puts his left arm behind Rose's back holding her and pushing her close.

He looks down at her lips as he whispers "you should believe in yourself more."

Andreas clears his voice making Rose breaks the eye contact with Ben.

"He's right. You have the potential to win the competition. We need to come to practice now." He says making a gesture with his hand to follow him.

Ben moves his arm away allowing Rose to get out. He scoffs waving bye to Rose, with an annoyed look.

"Byeee see you." Karen winks at Rose.

After walking for some minutes Andreas speaks:

"So you're settling in well as I can see."

Roselyn shrugs "yes they're cool."

"Your type of people huh?" He whispers laughing lightly.

Rose raises eyebrows "what would that mean?"

He shakes his head, entering the library where they usually practice.

He inserts the code which transports them to the wood of the first test she had to accomplish.

"Have you ever did a magic fight?" He asks taking steps back from her. The answer was obvious, she hasn't.

She nods no. He moves his right hand slowly and a scoreboard appears near them.

"No, no, no," Rose says nodding with her arms folded. "You're gonna win." She complains.

"I'll go easy on you." He grins.
