13 chapter thirteen

Roselyn moves her hand in front of her, deviating the fire flames' path. They hit a rock near Rose and it burns out quickly.

Roselyn's heart leaped into her throat. "Are you crazy?" She yells.

Andreas says with a calm voice "good job. Now quicker."

As soon as she opens her mouth to complain, Andreas starts to throw flames repeatedly.

She succeeds in protecting herself from the first ones that fly up to her but when the fourth one is thrown, she's not quick enough.

The flame hits her making her fall down the floor. She massages her elbow where the flame burned her.

"Not very quick huh?" He says raising an eyebrow.

She writhes as she gets up. She pulls down her eyebrow together as she lands her arm. She groans creating an ice storm that starts running toward Andreas, he grins and snaps his fingers, ice's splinters assemble, turning into a waterfall. Andreas chuckles.

His proud facial expression roused her anger more, this time her hands were aimed at the ground.

She closes her hands focusing and the ground starts to shake strongly.

He looks down the floor frowning, making the area where he was standing stop shaking.

"Maybe I underestimated you," he says in a solid voice.

He turns around to walk away. She burned with anger, she distended her arm and thrown a strong water flow toward him. He turns around and stops it effortlessly once again.

He smiles, walking toward Roselyn. He leans in, she was glowering at him.

He whispers close to her ear "you're predictable Roselyn. I've seen you use your powers just a bunch of times, yet I always know exactly what you're going to do. You can be the most powerful enchantress in the whole world but if you're predictable, you lose." He says in a soothing voice.

"Maybe you should teach me" she replies turning her face away from Andreas.

He shakes his head "those things can't be learned." He takes her chin making her face him again. She stares at him. He taps his fingers against Rose's forehead "I can't teach you how to do smart choices as that depends on your logic and intelligence."

He was leaning in so close that Rose could feel his breath on her lips. She looks down at his lips, she felt a river run down her body.

She nods. They stare at each other for few seconds until Rose lays a hand on his ripped abs, he smirks guessing her intentions leans close to her. Their lips were barely touching.

Roselyn opens her hand widely, Andreas is pushed strongly against a tree meters faraway by a wind wave.

"Was that smart enough?" She laughs.

He gets up "Good job." He says.

She smiles proudly.

"Can I ask you something?" Rose asks, walking toward him.

"Why didn't you show me the room full of my mom's pictures?" She asks. He looks at her astonished wondering how she knew about that room.

"How do you know about that room?"

She scoffs, looking away.

"Because right now it's not time for you to find out." He answers noticing Rose's irritation.

"You can't decide when it's time for me to find out more about my mom. It's MY mom, not yours." She raises her voice in resentment.

"I can decide if I kn.."

Roselyn intervenes promptly "that's what I hate about you."

Andreas rolls his eyes.

"You think you're better than everyone, that you're superior, that you have the right to make decisions for everyone. You were there judging silently me and my past when you're the first one to delude girls."

He giggles "What does it have to do with your mom?"

She shakes her head.

"How do you know about the room, Roselyn?" He folds his arms.

"Gabriel Smith showed me."

"Of course. And how do you know him?"

Roselyn rolls her eyes. "God, Andreas. He didn't even know me and he told me about my mom, showed me pictures and you after what we.."

Roselyn spits out the anger she kept in for so long.

"After what Rose?" His gaze became serious.

"After.. after what we ha.. after all the time spent together." she murmurs looking down the floor embarrassed.

"Do you want to know the reason why I never speak about your mom?" He asks in a quiet tone.

Roselyn nods, she lifts her head and looks at him straight in the eye.

"Over time there have always been two oppositions, in the magic world. The good and the bad. There are good wizards and witches and then there are the bad ones. They always fight against each other, often and however fighting with the help of good and bad creatures. Every wizard, after reaching their evolution's final stages, and becoming a supreme magician has to pick their side, which will mark forever their path. However, in this school through tests and examinations we detect which side every student is inclined to. Your mother was good but she fell in love with a bad man. She was extremely powerful, way too much powerful, and when such a powerful woman is sided with a bad wizard, she automatically becomes bad for the magic council. Everyone started to look for them, to chase them. He was not harmful, but due to his roots, he was considered dangerous. That's the reason why she had to escape from this school, that's probably the reason why she abandoned you. Because your life was at risk with them." He stops his explanation to gently caress her cheek, he wipes away her tears. She was sobbing and shaking so he takes her hand as he continues "Very little people know that you're her daughter. And nobody will have to know. Every professor in this school cares about you because, despite everything, your mother Angelina was an amazing person, very dear to us. So please, remember not to tell anyone about this. I don't want anything to happen to you."

Roselyn nods, sniffling.

"Thanks for telling me." She whispers. He smiles at her. She walks close to him and hugs him tightly, he looks at her shocked, but when he sees in what states she was in, he caresses her head. She kept crying and sniffing against his chest, he smiles lightly, wrapping his arms around her hips.
