Slayers And Hollows.

No one knows why the sun is yellow, or why the moon is white. No one questioned that anyway. It was natural.

People do not judge naturality. It's crazy, it's weird, it's something which only abnormals do. That's what we do, abnormals, gifted with the power to protect the world from monsters, creatures filled with evil, only thinking of destroying and devouring.

We call them Hollows.

Prologue -

"According to our sources, it's going to rain non-stop for hours in Malera, it is suggested you stay in your home as it's going to rain all night and a lot at day, and if you leave, bring an umbrella with you-"

The TV was turned off, the person responsible for this was a young boy. Because the lights were off, not much of him could be seen, besides a grin in his face, and a pair of red eyes.

"They are on the move, aren't they…? I wonder who is controlling them this time...Is it one of the Elders… or a Primordial One?! Ahhh so much enjoyment… I can't wait to slaughter all of them."

The young boy said with a tone which would make people wonder about his sanity. The said teenager stood up from the couch and walked towards the window, it was dark and raining outside.

The moonlight revealed a bit of his appearance, silver hair, which was very spiky, defying gravity, and scarlet and crimson red at the end. One bang which covered one of his eyes occasionally.

The handsome boy was wearing a black T-shirt., it was extremely plain, but he didn't care.

"Soon… I'm going to face them aren't I?" He muttered, his eyes filled with coldness

"At least I have you with me, don't I? Soul Reaper…" He looked at the corner of the room, where a sheathed sword was at, it looked rather plain. If anyone looked at it, they'd just think it was your normal sword, however to the boy, it was one of his rare friends and acquaintances in his short life.

He walked away from the window, towards the table, where there was a magazine. He just took a single glance at it before snorting.

"The Number One Academy is still The Celestial Academy! Hosting over a thousand students…"

The boy then took a glance at another object, an identification card. It had a picture of him, and basic information.

He scowled at the rank he had, he was far more powerful than rank D, if he were to rank himself he'd probably rank B or A. That was not the issue right now.

He, was being forced to join a Slayer Academy. The thing which truly disgusted him, fresh Slayers, who thought it was cute to pretend to be powerful. Slayer Academies were practically useless according to him.

Ren's surname was indeed weird, but he got it from his mother, as his father wanted his surname to be forgotten, who cares anyway, his parents had died long before he could even remember them.

Deathbringer, to exactly what did it bring death? Did it kill the people who cared about the surname holders? Did it mean that anyone who is an enemy of the surname holder will die? Ren did not know.

However, he could confirm one thing. Anyone who was his enemies. Would be mercilessly killed.

"Uncle Uriel… If you did not intervene I'd probably be still in the wild completing missions to get a living… Way better than joining some stupid Academy." He complained, as he opened the fridge, and took out a cold drink for himself.

" I guess tomorrow is the first day of my school life. I look forward to Slaying more Hollows…" He let out what seemed to be a maniac's laugh, and together with it, a thunder followed…

School Assembly.

"Welcome, to the Celestial Academy, an Academy created to help new promising Slayers In training like you. We call Slayers in Training as Newborns here, so please do not get offended if you get called so."

"My name is Olsen Summer, the Principal of the Celestial Academy. As a Slayer myself, I hope all of you can achieve the goal of what all Newborns strive to be, a Slayer."

"First of all, I hope all of you already know that the road to become a Slayer is not easy. It's filled with pain, suffering, friendship, difficult choices…"

Ren couldn't bother listening to Olsen for a very long time. He could sense that the man himself, barely cared about any of them. It was more as if he wanted to use them as tools, to reach a goal of his.

This was pretty pointless, why gather all the First Year students just to give them a large speech on something which most of them, if truly aiming to become Slayers should already know?

But personally, that didn't really bother him. He was also using him as a tool to reach his own goal, of becoming a Slayer. It was more of how much Olsen would be a use to him, which truly might bother him a bit.

Ren was wearing a black T-Shirt with a hint of leather armor on his back and chest, which also was connected to a leather rope, which tightly attached the sheath of his sword to his back. His hands were covered in black fingerless gloves, with a shard of a white metal on the knuckles of his fingers, a total of 10 shards of this rare metal.

He had bandages covering his arms, from the beginning of the end of his gloves, up to what was visible of his arms. His left bandage was completely red, his right one was completely black.

He was also wearing black pants, with a few tears there and here, and also a pair of black shoes.

(Whew that was the most words I have ever used to describe someone's appearance in my life.)

His red eyes looked at Olsen with a hint of boredom, and he put both of his hands behind his head, intertwining with each other behind his silver spiky hair. His face had a small smile barely visible, if you did not look carefully, you might just not notice it.

"This might be a bit interesting after all…"

Hello, I already have written 3 chapters, besides the Prologue, and am trying to keep a 2k words per chapter ratio, but that takes too much time, so sorry if there is not a chapter at least once a day.

Also, This might be my official 1st work besides another one(Which I merely edit and publish, but I've written all of it).

I hope everyone likes it.
