The Empire- Chapter 13~The Late Comer's Tale.

P.O.V~Becky

It was 7:30am and I could already feel that I was late to school not that it was a surprise cause I was late almost everyday. Na me derr dabia saa ( Translation: As for me its everyday). Whether I wake up early or not I'll be late. What I didn't like about coming to school late was the eyes Sir John would give you not to mention the lengthy threating/inspiring talks he would give me. I'd rather he hit me that put my face down in front of people but it seems that today if I'm able to hurry even though I'll be late, he might not see me today. Have I even explained why I'm always late? I guess not ( : classic Becky. So I stay with my elder brother who is a police officer, my elder sister who just completed high school and my brothers son whom he shares with his now ex- girlfriend (Olivia). So my elder sister is away staying at one of our aunties houses and my elder brother always has an early shift in the morning leaving me with the baby. Some of you might be wondering where my parents are and why my brother is basically raising my sister and I. Well its because my parents well our parents a very old like I mean very old. I was a miracle baby as my mother says. She gave birth to me at the age of 51, which had me asking a lot of questions like A. They had s** at that age B. How was he a 61 year old man at the time able to you know do it. Well this is of topic but yeah. This might be the only chapter she gives me and here I am giving unnecessary information. So in the mornings its normally left with my nephew and I, which means I change his diaper, feed him and get him ready to go to the day care where his mom works so you know its a win-win for my brother and his ex but not for me. They don't pay for a nanny or day care but I'm always late to school and being tagged as lazy which is true for like you know half of the time but don't make it my whole brand. So by the time I reached school (our main block) it was 7:45am which wouldn't be so bad in other schools but not Prembrook Prep like no way you where in deep trouble especially considering the fact that I'm a house mistress (I was in such deep sh**). Knowing perfectly well that all the work had been done and my name had be written down boldly, I ran hurriedly to class just praying I didn't meet Sir John the primary source of most of my misery in school. I didn't need a lecture on how unserious I am cause I was not in the greatest mood and might say something that may get me into deep trouble. When I was edging nearer to the entrance of our class I saw huge bulky figure standing at our door, praying internally that it was not who I think it is I saw Felix giggling at something Jinx said and I sighed in relief.

Felix: Good morning and why are you now coming to school?

Becky: Oh Felix I couldn't get a car to come that's why I'm late. (I lied)

Felix: Then you should have woken up earlier to find a car. I'm sorry but I cannot allow you to pass either.

Jinx: (Rolls her eyes) Don't mind him Becky enter there's no teacher in class so just settle down and I'll leave you of with a warning okay?

Becky: Okay thanks 'I said hurrying to my spot before a teacher came to class. Well it seems am of the hook today thanks to one of the triplets.'
