23 Past and Nightmare (3)

Arren had already forgotten that it was all a nightmare as he cried silently for help. He only found himself sitting in the car a few minutes later, gasping for breath as he tried to steady himself. His insides were trembling, and desire began to awaken.

Arren's face flushed, and his breath and body heated up. His tears streamed down his cheeks, but he was too weak to fight them. He leaned against the seat, his body weak and in pain.

Not long after, a warm hand snaked through his waist, stroking it. Arren was surrounded by the scent of musky pheromones, which both invited him and drove him insane. His instincts told him to throw himself at the alpha to relieve the pain, but there was another part of him fighting this urge and desperately suppressing his desires.

His mind was becoming foggy. The touch of the alpha also didn't help, and with the effects of the drugs and the pheromones, Arren knew it was only a matter of time before he became unconscious and succumbed to his desire.

Moans escape his mouth as the alpha that was embracing him sneaked his hand inside Arren's clothes, touching him in the stomach and traveling through his chest, slightly pinching it as a few kisses landed on his neck, scenting his pheromones. Tears streamed down his flushed cheeks as he shook his head and squirmed to break free from the man's grip, but he was completely powerless at this point.

He didn't want it, and it disgusted him. He so prayed and cried for help, and yet his desire throbbed, and his body now became sensitive to the touch. The stranger alpha's hands roamed through his body, kissing his neck, jaw, and through his chest, and leaving some marks.

The sobs coming from his mouth were caused by both his fear and the pain in his stomach until they were also caused by his own arousal. With each passing minute, the helpless situation seemed to deteriorate.

In his hazy state, the stranger alpha's chuckle reached his ears as the alpha licked his ears. He tried to avert his face, but the alpha forcefully held his face, and Arren grunted in pain. His tears had made his vision hazy, and the fog had engulfed him. Only his sliver of rational consciousness kept him afloat.

"Look, you're getting wet," the disgusting laugh rang out again, "damn, I can't wait to taste you. The most beautiful omega in the Empire, huh?" He then licked Arren's ear with his disgusting tongue, and Arren sobbed even more.

There were also voices inside the car, but his mind couldn't comprehend what they were saying. He cried so much that even that sliver of consciousness began to fade. Arren was afraid. The laughter of the men inside the car was followed by his sobs, which quickly turned into moans.

He couldn't stand it any longer. He was in pain, he wanted to die. Arren's mind went blank as he was passed around, he couldn't even look at his surroundings. He didn't have any ability to do so. There was something in his mind, as though a distant memory. He seemed to recall it, but not as well.

Was everything real? Why... Did he think of his face? Who was he?

"Don't tire him..."

"Damn, His Majesty sure..."

"Insane..."

"Can't wait to see his face..."

"Emperor's omega...."

More laughter and conversations were muffled by his hazy consciousness, and he couldn't even fully comprehend them. He only wished that someone would save him, or at the very least kill him, and end his misery.

Then it went silent as if time had stopped. Arren's pain, as well as the disgusting sensations, had vanished. In his exhausted state, he also seemed to hear someone calling him and tried to locate the source of the voice. However, his mind was a complete mess.

However, the voice becomes more audible and more distinct. Arren tried to recall the owner of the voice, despite the fact that it was hurting his head. He could now recognize the voice approaching him, as well as the tone.

Ah, it was Mister Investigator. When he identified the owner, the voice pulled his soul from the dream and he was consumed by the darkness.

Arren was certain he was awake now, his eyelids were heavy, and his head throbbed. Nonetheless, he made every effort to open his eyes. He needed to be sure that the terrifying experience was just a nightmare. Like the other nightmares, he'd had in recent weeks.

The light hurt his eyes for a moment after he did so, and he had to close them again before opening them again. It didn't fully open and was only half-lidded; even the vision was hazy. And yet, the relief he felt nearly broke him down. Yes, it was all a nightmare.

He was awake now.

The room was actually dimmed, with the only light coming from the lamp at the side of the bedroom. Arren couldn't recognize the room but if he remembered correctly, they were on the way to the hotel before he slept. So he assumed they were now in a hotel room. He turned his head to the side and met the eyes of the alpha that was calling him in his dream.

"Mister Investigator," Arren muttered softly, his voice hoarse from a sore throat but even more so from having just woken up. "Thank you," he added. He was sincere. If he didn't call him and wake him up, Arren didn't know what else would happen in his dream.

The alpha's amber eyes were particularly somber right now, with a deep tint of concern in them, and his normally calm face gave the impression that he was bothered by something. Spade wiped the tears from Arren's eyes with his hand.

Arren only knew he was crying because of Spade's gesture, and he even discovered that Spade's hand was grasping his hand after it had tightened in assurance. His heart was filled with warmth, and even his impression of the Alpha had significantly risen. Arren admired the alpha even more now. He knows that the concern the alpha was showing him wasn't fake and was very sincere.

He was grateful that he saved him and woke him up.

"A nightmare?" Spade paused, then said softly, "if you don't want to tell me, I won't pressure you." His deep voice made it even more soothing to hear.

Arren smiled; to be honest, he was still drowsy and not fully awake. The cause was his high fever and the nightmare. Despite this, Arren was so close to and at ease with the alpha in front of him.

"It was a nightmare, but also—" he thought of his mother in the dream, and the scene he saw even experienced vividly. His hands trembled as the alpha gently grasped them. "An extremely terrifying one."
