97 Chapter 96

[Third Person's PoV]

Julius Blindman and Goldoh Kinmeki stood face to face in the center of the Arena, Goldoh appearing smug and overconfident.

He put a hand over his sword and slowly withdrew it, "Julius is if I recall correctly… There are many fans of mine here today also a friend has bet a fortune on me" Goldoh's sword then brimmed with golden magical energy as he swung it towards Julius shouting, "Sorry but I'll be finishing you off in a moment!"

Just as Goldoh's sword was about to strike Julius he lowered himself on one knee causing Goldoh to miss, leaving him wide open for Julius to strike right from underneath him, sweat started dripping from Goldoh as he realized this.

He quickly grew confused when the counter attack didn't occur he looked down and saw Julius tying his shoelaces, the crowd looked in shock, but the one most in shock was Goldoh as he could hear Julius whispering to himself.

"I don't want to trip during my fight…"

Julius dusted off his hands when he was done, "there much better" he muttered as he stood up while picking up his walking stick, "No where was I? Oh right, the fight…"

"ARE YOU MAKING FUN OF ME!!!" Goldoh shouted angrily.

Julius didn't answer as he took a hold of his walking stick with both his hands. His next action surprised everyone who was watching. He very slowly started pulling out a sword… his walking stick was actually a sword in disguise!

"What!"

"What's crazy! So all his time he's been carrying a weapon but never used it?!?!"

"So he has been hiding his strength the entire time!?"

"Has he deemed the undefeated legend a worthy opponent to use it on him or something?!"

Goldoh moved back slightly as he started powering up with a large grin, "Since you're going all out, I guess I'll do the same!" He shouted

His body started glowing a bright golden color, the image of a dragon started manifesting due to his magical energy.

But just as he was about to unleash it, Julius started closing his sword before he had even taken it out fully. Meanwhile Goldoh didn't move, nothing changed as he just had his mouth open in shock.

Before anyone can guess what has occurred Julius started walking with his now walking stick leading the way, he went passed Goldoh, who did nothing to stop him, and walked off the arena surprising everyone.

"What happened? Did he forfeit?" Quinton couldn't help but ask Annarose.

Meanwhile Annarose took a deep breath, close her eyes, and sighed, "No he didn't forfeit… he has already won."

Before everyone's eyes multiple sword marks started appearing on Goldoh's body before blood sprayed from each mark. His golden glow quickly went away as his face planted on the ground with blood flowing underneath him, the fight ending in Julius' victory.

Nobody said a word as they couldn't believe what they were watching, until the announcer finally said, "AND THE VICTORY GOES TO JULIUS BLINDMAN!!!"

This caused an explosion of multiple sounds and voices as multiple people talked and screamed at one another trying to see if they were seeing the same thing.

"What happened!!?? He didn't even fully take out his sword"

"He did…" Annarose sighed, "We were just too slowly to see him do it"

After a while it was Julius' turn with Quinton, each stood a little distance away from each other.

Quinton held onto his great sword in front of him, "Don't think I'm going to fall for your cowardly tactics! I'm going all out from the beginning against you!" He shouted before powering himself up with all of his mana.

Julius just tilted his head in confusion unsure what he was talking about before shrugging his shoulders, 'Couldn't care less actually…'

Quinton shot towards Julius at a fast speed while letting out a war cry trying to intimate Julius, he swung his sword forward but Julius easily sidestepped out of the way and held his walking stick to the side.

Quinton ended up tripping on the walking stick and as he was falling past Julius, he twirled the walking stick on his hand before pushing it back, hitting Quinton on the back of the head with one swift motion knocking him out completely.

"And the victory goes to the dark horse of this tournament, Julius Blindman!!!"

"AGAIN!?"

"I'M GOING BANKRUPT!"

"I WON! I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACTUALLY BET WITH THE BLIND KID AND WON!"

Hearing their shouting Julius smirked as he walked back through the corridor that led out of the Arena.

As he walked through there, Annarose was seen leaning against the wall with her arms folded, she looked at Julius with a serious expression, "You're not blind are you? Everything about you just screams precision and perfect vision. So if you don't mind me asking why are you playing the image of a blind man? Next week I'm your opponent and don't think I'm going to underestimate you!"

Julius sighed, "You're very nosy, I hope you know that, fine you want to find out why I'm playing blind then see for yourself. Here hold this for a bit" Julius said as he casually handed her his walking stick.

Annarose was at first confused before reaching out and grabbing the walking stick. As she took a hold her knees buckled due to the weight causing her to almost fall. She quickly used her magic but even with that she was having difficulty holding it, she looked up at Julius in shock as she was still struggling.

Julius then reached behind his head as he slowly started to unravel the white cloths covering his eyes.

"There is a reason I keep them covered but since you want to see so bad…"

As Annarose looked into his eyes lost all feelings to her legs as they gave out, causing her to drop the walking stick and avoid looking at Julius in the eyes. She started hyperventilating and gasping for air as she kept her head down, refusing to look up. She started shaking in fear, if it wasn't for what little willpower she had she would have wet herself.

Julius just sighed once again as she wrapped the bandages back up, "This is why I keep them covered. They're too dangerous for mortals to bear upon them, you're lucky to even catch a glimpse and not have your mind break" He said as he bent down and picked up his walking stick before walking away,

All Annarose managed to hear was Julius' last words, "This is why we mind our own business…"

Even though she tried to not think about it and try to get her bearings together, it was like the image was ingrained deep within her now, the image of two bright purple dragon slits looking down on her, which just radiated power and death… pure, unbridled death.
