89 Chapter 88

[Third Person's PoV]

As soon as he entered Cid saw Aurora chained up against a wall smiling at him.

Cid returned the smile as he then said, "I know I said I'll see you soon but who knew it would be so soon."

Aurora chuckled at that, "I have a feel you knew"

Cid just snapped his fingers causing the chains holding her to shatter, which caused her to let out a sigh of relief and start stretching.

"Phew, thank you for saving me, I've been trapped here for 1,000 years, so it's been a while since I was last free."

"Say, wanna cooperate with me to escape from here? The sanctuary is like a maze on the Inside and we can't use magic freely.

The core of the center of the sanctuary continuously drains our magical power. However, if we manage to destroy it we will be released from this place, I just so happen to know the way out of this place. Follow me"

She said as she took the lead and started walking in front, she pushed the door that was in front of them which led them towards a forest area.

A little girl was seen crying to herself.

"Is this a memory of yours?" Cid asked her when he saw her staring at it.

Aurora grimaced a bit when he mentioned probably not wanting to remember it or be associated with it, since to her it was a past she was most ashamed of. She walked up towards the little and smacked the living hell out of it shattering it into pieces.

"Let's just say that I can't really remember it as my memories are incomplete"

The entire forest area shattered when the image of her younger self was destroyed.

They were soon in a destroyed town that looks like it has just experienced war, buildings were destroyed, the corpses of soldiers were littered everywhere, and In the middle of it was the same girl curled up crying.

"You're crying again" Cid said with a raised brow, which caused Aurora to sigh,

"I was a crybaby in the past but crying doesn't change anything" Aurora went and picked up a sword and as she swung it Cid picked her up and carried her in princess carry, which surprised her.

She then noticed the corpses of the Knight were getting up and one of them attacked the place she was at.

"The corpses…!? The sanctuary is rejecting us, it doesn't intend to let us go–" she stopped midway and looked at Cid with a deadpan expression.

"...Are you seriously feeling my breast right now?"

Cid, whose hands were indeed touching and squeezing the side of her boob, nodded his head in all seriousness.

"Absolutely" he said without any hint of shame or embarrassment.

Aurora looked at Cid in surprise expecting him to at least deny it or get flustered at being discovered, not be someone so shameless.

Aurora could help but sigh, "Here I was hoping I would be rescued and protected by a knight, all I got in return is a pervert."

As the corpses got up and took a hold of their weapons, Cid just looked at Aurora in his arms with a smirk, "You said you wanted to be protected by a Knight, right?, well there's just this one move I always wanted to try"

Aurora looked at Cid with a raised brow and waited to see what he would do, her eyes widened in surprise as Cid's body started to be covered in what appear to be a black and glowing purple suit of Armor without a helmet.

When she met Cid's eyes her expression widened and her fascination grew, she took a hold of his face and looked into his eyes.

"Dragon eyes!" She gasped in surprise, "How… Just how is it possible…"

"Wait, how are you doing this, how are you using Magic in the first place?" she asked in astonishment.

"I'm just awesome, that's how" Cid said with a smirk, which caused her to scoff.

"It seems you don't believe me." Said side stepped and dodged a sword that a zombie swung at him.

"Here let me show how awesome I am, it's been a while since I have bragged about my power" Cid said as he disappeared from where he was standing while still holding Aurora.

He reappears sliding on the ground slightly as the head of the corpse exploded into a gory mess, and blood staining his boot, with Aurora perfectly fine in his arms.

He pushes himself off the ground and disappears and reappears with three more heads exploding at the same time, making Aurora look at him in amazement.

"You're not using magic to boost yourself, the armor you're wearing isn't made of magic it's made of something else, something I can't seem to identify, and it's not being used as a boost, it's mostly there to look cool but… but my instincts are telling me I wouldn't be able to lay a finger on your body… then there's your heart"

she said as her and Cid disappeared and reappeared throughout the battlefield killing all of the sanctuaries defenses

Aurora then gained a look of fear and took her hand away from his face, "J-J-Just what are you?"

"You know previously you called me a pervert for just touching your boob, but you just used your magic to examine my entire body inside and out, if anything you're more perverted than me" Cid said ignoring her question said with a teasing smirk.

Aurora blushed when she heard that, since it was technically true.

Cid didn't say anything else as he finished killing all of the sanctuary defenses, when he was done he looked at Aurora as his dragon eyes glowed in a deep beautiful color.

"You wanted to know who I am right?" Cid smirked as he asked her, "I'm a nobody, I'm just … The Monarch of Death…"

Cid looked at all of the bodies scattered throughout the field, "Arise!" Cid demanded causing multiple shadow soldiers wearing knight armor appeared and kneel down before him.

Aurora started shaking in his arms, at first Cid thought he ended up scaring her. But when he looked at her face he could swear he saw stars in her eyes

"SO COOOOL!!!" she shouted in amazement. She got up from his arms and looked at the shadow soldiers before her. She started poking them with her fingers and examined every part of their shadow bodies.

"Just how are you doing it, these beings you used were made just a physical memory. How could you take control of them and make them all belong to you" she said as she wanted to learn more about them, she turned towards Cid and became even more curious about him.

She stood up from examining the shadow soldier and walked up towards him and looked him in his eyes, "You are perhaps the most fascinating and mysterious man I have ever met, your power and magic are simply out of this world. I can't help but want to get to know you more"

Cid raised a brow and looked at Aurora with a teasing smile, "Are you flirting with me?"

Cid disappeared and reappeared in front of Aurora and took a hold of her waist as he looked her in the eyes with his glowing purple dragonic eyes.

"Cause if you are then that's good that just means I won't have to feel bad when I take someone as beautiful as you out of here and make you mine"

Aurora blushed at his advances, especially while looking into his eyes. She has been alone for one thousand years, she doesn't even remember the last time she held a proper conversation any less when some flirted with her and tried to get with her.

While looking at his eyes Aurora started taking notice of his face and started to realize something, 'Wait a minute… he's actually really good looking, I didn't pay attention to that at first but now that he's this close up I can't deny that he's freaking hot and exactly my type…'

Aurora then shook her head and patted his cheek, "Maybe in another lifetime" and distanced herself away from him. Leaving Cid standing there in shock.

'Did I really just get rejected?' he thought to himself while Aurora went to pick up a sword from the ground and stab her younger self, causing the area to shatter completely, leaving them in front of a large chained up double door…
