Chapter 85

[Third Person's PoV]

Cid was seen walking between an alleyway in the middle of the night thinking of fun he just had with Beta and then Alexia.

"What are you doing in these alleys?! Did you see the whole thing?" a random guy says drawing out his sword preparing to attack.

"Did you see what happened in the church?!" He asked, sounding paranoid.

Cid just looked at it him confusing before realizing what he's talking about, "Ah, you must be talking about the murder of Archbishop Drake"

Cid's eyes glowed slightly purple and saw Alpha standing in front of the statue of the hero Olivier.

"Hero Olivier…" Alpha said without taking her eyes off the statue, "All we wish for is to know the truth. What were you doing in the sacramental grounds? The more we unravel the dark mysterious of history, the more intertwined the lies and true become"

Alpha turns to the corpse on the right, "And you Archbishop Drake, what is it that you were hiding? Just who killed you? Were you cast away out of fear that people would be looking into the rumors about you.

There's no way you can answer of course, unless Master himself demands you to answer him"

"Arise" Cid said freaking out the guy in front of him,

He pointed his sword at Cid, "I must kill you to silence you, you know to much, it's your fault in the first place for knowing things you shouldn't have"

But Cid didn't pay him any attention, he just looked at the Archbishop's corpse through Alpha's shadow, its shadow came to life and kneeled before Alpha, taking her by surprise.

She sighed with a smile when she saw the shadow soldier before her, "I see, so master is watching over me, thank you"

Alpha then turned her attention towards a large white door with grandiose decorations. "Now we wait, until the gates of the sacramental grounds open tomorrow… but for now I'll just have to ask you some questions"

Alpha said, addressing the Archbishop shadow soldier next to her.

Cid's eyes stopped glowing and saw the guy that was in front of him start running in his direction with his sword in a swinging motion.

But Cid didn't do anything and just watched with a small grin.

The next moment the sound of someone snapping their fingers was heard which was followed up by the guy's head exploding.

"It's fancy seeing you here Master!" Epsilon said with a happy expression.

Epsilon went on her tiptoes and kissed Cid, which Cid responded in kind.

"I see you have gotten better with your sound magic." Cid said, breaking off the kiss and looking at the guy's exploded head next to them.

Epsilon sighed when she heard that, "Yeah but now killing them became so easy that it take away the fun of it"

Epsilon then shook her head, "Anyways my lord I still have bad guys to hunt and kill, I'll see you later"

She kissed Cid one more time before jumping towards the rooftops and running away.

The next day…

Cid was standing by the railing by the colosseum watching the start of the Goddess Trials,

A fat nearly balding man game to the center of the stage of stage and started speaking,

"Finally, the day of the Goddess Trial is here! As Archbishop Drake had to go on a leave on urgent business. I, Nelson, will be taking over the duties of this opening ceremony…"

While Nelson continued on talking, Alexia was narrowing her eyes in his direction, looking at him from her seat with the other special guest. Natsume, also known as Beta, was to Alexia's right. While Rose was to her left.

'This Nelson guy, he's suspicious, I don't like him. After having a fantastic time with Cid, I decided to check out and investigate the disappearance of the Archbishop but he turned me away at any chance he could.' Alexia thought to herself and put a hand on her chin pondering over the matter.

'Someone must have wanted to make sure the Archbishop wouldn't spill anything, and if there's another thing I don't like…' Alexia's eyes turned towards Natsume who was standing up waving at everyone that was cheering for her.

Alexia's face scowled slightly towards her direction, 'It's this shady woman right next to me! She might be a genius novelist or whatever, but it's obvious she's trying to suck up to people. And she's showing off her cleavage on purpose!!!'

As Natsume was about to sit back down on her seat she turned towards Alexia and looked at her with a condescending expression.

'This bitch should just go die in a ditch somewhere, she's using her position as a princess and a school friend to get close to my man.

This cheap bitch even had the decency to get saved by my husband when she was kidnapped and came looking for us to be with him.

I'm his princess, it should be me that show be saved and carried away in his strong arms. Luckily I had the chance to be embraced by them, which this bitch won't have the pleasure of ever experiencing.' Natsume thought to herself arrogantly.

Alexia when she noticed Natsume's expression became irritated, she gritted her teeth. They both looked at each other and one could practically see the sparks flying between them

While that was going on Rose was simply enjoying her drink sipping it through a straw, 'This is quite good'

Meanwhile Cid was watching Alexia's and Beta interaction with each other while chuckling to himself.

Cid returned his gaze towards the Archbishop, he had his arms spread out and announced, "This dome of light won't allow any interference until one of the parties is unable to fight. So the fights cannot be stopped until someone falls to the ground"

"Now then…" he continued,

"Our first challenger on this glorious occasion is a traveler from Begalta, the country of swords!, ANNAROSE!!"

As Annarose can unto the battle stage the silhouette of a warrior in armor appear,

"That is… the memory of the warrior Bolga!! Our very first challenger successfully summoned someone! Things are heating up already" Nelson continued to narrate.

Annarose and Bolga didn't say anything and just continued looking at each other before they both shot themselves towards each other with their sword in hand ready to clash…
