77 Chapter 76

[Third Person's PoV]

After the whole ordeal Cid started showing Sherry around the place pointing her to the different buildings and what they do.

"Oh right, I guess I can tell you this now since you're a part of Shadow Garden, Mitsugoshi is part of Shadow Garden" Cid said with a proud expression while Sherry looked at Cid in surprise.

"Woah, just how powerful is Shadow Garden?" Sherry wondered out loud.

"The strongest" Cid said, keeping it short and simple.

Cid then took Sherry to the large castle towering over all the other buildings. Cid held her hand and started walking her inside, and as he was walking her outside the two guards by the door of the castle bowed their heads in respect as soon as they saw Cid, to which Cid just nodded his head and kept walking.

"One of the main reasons I want to show you the castle is because there is someone I want you to meet." Cid said with a smirk.

"Who?"

"Her character is difficult to explain. It's better if you see her for yourself" Cid said with a weary smile.

As Cid was walking to his destination he ran into lambda. Lambda bowed her head towards Cid and looked at Sherry

She looked at Cid and tilted her head "A new recruit my lord?"

Cid nodded his head while Lambda then asked "So when shall her training begin my lord, or is she someone you will be training personally?"

"I was planning on having Eta be the to training her" Cid said causing Lambda to flinch and look at Cid in shock

"Is… Is that wise my lord?" Lambda asked wearily knowing how Eta is like

Cid just shrugged his shoulders "Probably not but I feel like her and Eta would get along well"

"I see…" Lambda said which she then turned towards Sherry who was in a pondering position.

'Eta, Eta, Eta, where did I hear that name from, I swear I heard it from somewhere' Sherry thought to herself

"Well if you ever need a way to grow stronger don't hesitate to seek me out. Now if you will please excuse my lord" Lambda said to Sherry and then nodded towards Cid and walked away.

"Ah, in case you were wondering she's kinda like the military instructor of our organization, so if you want to grow strong and can't do it with the help of Eta come and find her or me" Cid said as he turned towards Sherry.

"I see, will do… and who is this Eta you keep talking about, I feel like I know that name but I can't put my finger on it" Sherry said, racking her brain trying to find an answer.

"Well like I said earlier her personality is difficult to explain but if I had to sum it up, she's the smartest woman I know, she's in charge of everything that has to do with artifacts, ancient text, technological advancement and the sorts…"

But before Cid could continue they soon turned the corner and arrived in front of a giant metal door with a large letter H right on the center of it.

'That symbol… It can't be.' Sherry thought to herself while looking at the symbol on the door, her eyes widened in shock, finally realizing where she heard the name from and it was all thanks to the symbol.

Meanwhile as soon as Cid stands close to the door, the door automatically opens up letting them inside. What Cid saw inside almost made him facepalm himself.

Eta was seen in the air with her knees tucked in with four long mechanical arms attached to her back. Two were on the ground lifting her up while the other 2 were moving around the spacious science room she has to herself.

"Eta… what is that?" Cid asked, making sure he's seeing what he's actually seeing.

The arms that were on the ground to support her turned around and made Eta face Cid. Eta's face brightened slightly, to anyone that didn't know her for a long time wouldn't notice the difference, she would just look like someone that needed sleep, but to Cid she looked wide awake.

When Eta saw Cid she untucked her legs and spread out her arms

"Ddddaaaarrrrrlllliiiiinnnnggggg" Eta called out with her arms spread out, the mechanical arm then pushed her to Cid and wrap her arms around his neck.

As she held onto Cid she spun around causing the mechanical arms to start compressing and retracting all the way onto her back. The only thing that was left were four disks over her slime suit.

As Eta hung on Cid's back she laid her head on his shoulder and kept her arms wrapped around his neck with her legs wrapped around his waist.

Eta then let out a breath of satisfaction, "I can feel myself healing"

"YOU'RE ETA LLOYD WRIGHT" Sherry screamed in astonishment and stars in her eyes

Eta turns towards Sherry with her sleepy gaze ever present "Who's this Master Darling? Is she a fan or something?"

"Her name is Sherry my new wife and it looks like she knows who you are… but you still haven't explained what was that on your back earlier"

"Oh you got a new wife, congratulations" Eta said with a lazy smile before continuing "As for the thing on my back it's all thanks to your wisdom my lord."

The idea about this dr octopus having mechanical arms that had a neural link with your brain was absolutely genius. So I replicated it, now I don't have to be careful with my magic and how much I spend it, now I could go days on end without lifting a muscle and getting my work complete."

Cid just sighed and patted her head, "if only you were as enthusiastic about doing your work the same way you are about finding ways to be lazy your work ethic would have been amazing"

Eta didn't say anything and just continued to smile contently as she nestled her face against Cid's neck and almost went to sleep.

"Anyways master, are you just showing her around or something?" Eta asked with her eyes closed.

"No actually, I was planning on leaving her with you so she could learn a thing or two from you."

Eta then gained a pouty face "So you didn't come to visit cause you missed me?"

"If it makes you feel any better your the first one I'm willingly visiting right now"

Although her pouting lessened it didn't go away "So I'm supposed to train her? But… What about my sleep?"

"Now with your new arms there shouldn't be any problems right" Cid grins at her while she just looks at him before kissing him and letting go of him. The mechanical arms extended once again making her float and she turns towards Sherry's direction

"Master is showing you to me and telling me to teach you… me of all people. So he must think highly of you. You better not disappoint" Eta told Sherry

To which Sherry looked incredibly excited to be working and studying under her, "Please take good care of me!" Sherry bowed her head.

Cid then extended his shadow towards his hand and of it came The Eye of Avarice. Cid then tossed it towards Eta who caught it.

Eta tilted her head in confusion, to which Cid explained "You see that's the Eye of Avarice, which Sherry decipher all on her own, that should give you a general knowledge on how talented she is"

Sherry hearing this started blushing not expecting Cid to compliment her especially in front of Eta Lloyd Wright. The world's most famous architect, whose work is said to be almost as good as any ancient artifact.

When Sherry first heard that she couldn't help but be drawn to it and the more she learned about what Eta had created the more she started falling in love with her work.

So hearing she will be learning and working under Eta clearly has gotten Sherry excited.
