76 Chapter 75

[Third Person's PoV]

"W-W-W-WIFE!!! you mean like your wife? Like you and me? Huh? When did this happen? Where did this happen? How did this happen" Sherry asked, looking around confused while pointing to herself.

Shadow just looked at her in confusion "Isn't obvious, the moment you puckered those lips to kiss me, you've become mine."

"Wha, wha, wha, wha, wha," Sherry said as she started running around in circles unsure of what to do until she tripped and Shadow appeared before her and got her before she fell.

Shadow just sighed and held Sherry's hand and interlocked their fingers together. C'mon now, I don't want you getting hurt.

Sherry nodded as the blush on her cheeks grew, she took a peek at Shadow as he undid his hood since there really was no need to wear it and as she looked at his face, she gained those butterflies in her stomach.

'If it's with Cid—' her blush then grew and shook her head to get away from those embarrassing thoughts, Cid then continued their tour.

"Right as I was saying we don't really need security when we have this big guy here."

"So do most intruders run away as soon as they see him?"

"Sherry let me answer your question with another, how come we've had this large city and still no one has known about it?"

Sherry thought about the answer to the question "Umm, because there are no living witnesses?"

Cid looked at Sherry in shock not expecting her to answer as such "Ahhh, no it's not because of that. Well as you know Hazzard is known as the dragon of the mist. As you can see the entire surrounding area is covered with it…."

Cid then went on to explain Hazard's abilities and such. Sherry looked at Hazzard with stars in her eyes, "Sugoiiii!!!!"

Sherry then turned towards Cid and asked "And you were able to tame him!! That's Amazing, how were you able to kill him"

"Oh that's easy, I killed him, and turned him into my shadow soldier"

"Shadow soldier, what's that?" She asked curiously.

Cid smirked and pointed downwards, Sherry followed his finger and almost jumped all the way back if it wasn't for Cid still holding her eyes.

In Cid's shadow, multiple purple glowing eyes manifested themselves before they closed and his shadow shrunk back to how it was.

"W-W-What was that. Why are they so many" Sherry asked, scared out of her wits end.

"Cid turned towards her and gave her a confident smirk "Those are all the cult members/bad guys I have ever killed"

"Were they all bad guys?"

"Nope"

Sherry looked at him shocked, 'Did he also kill innocent people.' Sherry wondered, 'Is he like HIM, was he also putting on a facade like that man, was he lying to mean all this time. Why does he even want me to be his wife? Is he using me, like he used me? Will he throw me away when I'm no longer of use'

Sherry went close to having a panic attack, she was breathing heavily, her grip on Cid's hand tightened, her pupil started to dilate, she started sweating.

Cid sighed and let go of her hands, and as he did her first tasted tightening into a fist close to hurting herself as her knuckles were turning white.

Cid grabbed Sherry's face and pressed his forehead against hers, his eyes glowed a purple hue, as he exclaimed in a voice full of authority.

"Sherry Calm Down"

After a few seconds Sherry's heavy breathing started to relax and she let out a long windy breath.

"You're okay now?" Cid asked with his forehead still pressed against hers, Sherry nodded her head with tears in her eyes.

Cid seeing this sighed feeling slightly responsible, he kissed her on the lips, which Sherry closed her eyes and enjoyed as she needed that right there.

With their hands now back together Cid started interlocked together, "when I said there aren't all bad guys, I meant like some of them died honorably, for example, Igris a knight of mine, wanted someone worthy to call a king, Beru, my little Ant, wanted to fight someone strong, ect. Littles things like that, that don't make them evil."

Sherry let out a sigh of relief a bit of her insecurities easing back a bit, now they stood in front the main entrance to the city a bit before they entered Cid turned towards Sherry.

"There is something you must know before entering, and something about myself. Now before I say anything, even though I called you my wife, I'm not stopping you from leaving if that's what you want after listening to what I have to say.

When I mean leaving, I mean out of our relationship, you are always welcome to stay in this city no matter where our relationship heads from here on out, okay?

Sherry reluctantly nodded her head as she said "Cid-kun, you're scaring me, what is it?"

"The thing is I have 8 other wives, who hold probably hold the largest position of Shadow Garden apart from mine and one of those eight wives is my sister"

Sherry looked at Cid with her mouth gaped open, while Cid looked at her with an awkward smile on his face.

Sherry just shocked her head "I already figured you were in a relationship with some of the girls you saved, that's pretty obvious when anyone hears your story.

Now the thing about your sister, now that's, wow. I'm a little speechless at the moment."

After a few seconds Sherry took a deep breath, gathered all the courage she could and grabbed Cid's hand with both of hers. She looks directly into his eyes while expressing what she thinks.

"I like you, I like you alot actually, you are someone I can express my interest with and actually understand what I'm saying, I like spending time with you, even if it's just been a short while I still enjoy them nonetheless. You make my stomach do the butterflies.

You, not only helped me see my Fa– Vice-principals true colors, you helped me get revenge, you're even going out of your way to give me a purpose and a place to belong to. So I think you having 7 wives plus your sister is quite irrelevant compare to what you've helped me with"

Sherry bowed her head and put her forehead to Cid's knuckles and said "If you're willing to have me i would be honored to be called your wife"

Cid smirked and pulled Sherry into a deep kiss right in front of the entrance, and while sharing their moment together numerous clapping could be heard.

"Woooooaaaah"

*Thunderous applause"

"Congratulations my lord on getting another wife."

"As expected of my lord"

"That's lord shadow for you, being able to conquer the heart of any maiden"

More and more members of Shadow Garden kept appearing and applauding much to Sherry's dismay and horror, she quickly hid behind shadow and started shaking like a leaf.

And in sync all the members that appeared by the gate shouted at the same time as if this was practiced.
