68 Chapter 68

[Third Person's PoV]

Cid was leisurely walking towards Sherry, who Cid decided to leave a shadow with due to her careless and clumsy personality.

Cid was curious what was going on with her and decided to take a long.

Sherry's shadow suddenly gained two purple eyes appearing under her while she was sitting down by her desk trying to quickly decipher the artifact.

The eyes on Sherry's shadow turned and looked towards her two guards that were tasked to protect her

"What's it look like out there?" Glen, who accompanied Iris and Alexia to meet with sherry previously, asked Marco

Who's Nu's ex-fiance, when she was still a regular girl. "It seems we're under attack the whole school has been hit" Marco replied

"Hmm, with our magic sealed, we can't afford to act rashly" Glen ordered

"Do you think they're after the artifact?" Marco questioned.

"It's hard to say. I know we aren't supposed to let anything distract her but…"

Before Glen could finish speaking Sherry interrupted by yelling "No way! It can't be… If that's true that means…"

Sherry then started scribbling and deciphering the artifact faster at a quicker pass, but before she could be done the window behind her shattered as a man wearing the fake shadow garden outfit appeared by the window.

"WHO GOES THERE!" Marco shouted while looking towards the shattered window.

The man on the window let out a malicious smirk as he said "WE ARE… THE SHADOW GARDEN"

He then started taking off his mask as he said "No wait… or was it something like The shadow Guardians" He then shrugged "Eh, fuck it who gives a shit anyways. The name is Rex, Rex the game of betrayal!"

While that was happening Sherry hid under that table.

'It's just like the manga and everything, oh well better get this over with' Cid thought while looking at everything from Sherry's shadow.

While watching them fight and everything Cid just continued walking a long corridor, while walking leisurely Cid casually just demanded "Come forth and Serve"

Multiple eyes started appearing underneath Cid's shadow, he then ordered "Spread out and accompany the girls that just arrived"

Cid's shadow then shot off into multiple pieces in different directions. He then put a hand on his chin as he pondered, "You know what fuck it, let's be fancy up in this bitch"

Cid snapped his fingers as he just uttered "Monarchs Domain", Cid's shadow then started expanding and surrounding the entire school area unnecessarily boosting his shadow's power.

Every single person in the area looked down on their feet in shock.

"What is this?" A random NPC student asked

"Is this another attack?" the NPC said scarily

"The hell is this? Was there mention of something like this" an NPC cult member said.

"I don't think so? Just what could this be?" Another Cult NPC responded.

Meanwhile as Cid just continues walking the corridor humming ominously, the girls of Shadow Garden were busy killing all the members of the Diabolos Cult that were outside of the Academy guarding it.

Cid then continues to look at Sherry is going through at the moment, she crouched down and was covering her head while Rex looked down on her sadistically about to cut her down.

But before his sword reaches her both Glen and Marco stopped it with their swords "Go! Escape now, we'll stall him to give you enough time" Marco said without taking his eyes off Rex.

As Sherry ran out of the room she closed her eyes and covered her ears to not hear more of the battle going on between Marco, Glen, and Rex.

While running with her eyes closed Sherry somehow managed to exit the building and know where she was going, probably due to her many years in the academy and remembering the layout.

While she was running managed to maneuver around many cult members that weren't yet dead and were about to be attacked.

As they ran towards Sherry, many Shadow Garden members and Shadow Soldiers appeared and started eliminating the cult members, giving Sherry an easy way across even though she doesn't yet realize it.

While running Sherry managed to enter another building that was part of the academy and continue running.

While running, a cult member spotted her and shouted "I just heard someone!"

"Who's there?!" Another cult member shouted.

"They found me!" Sherry yelled out in panic she then leaned against the wall, closed her eyes and crouched down

"I'm sorry, I'm sorry! Please don't kill me" Sherry pleaded.

Sherry then took a peek when she noticed nothing was happening and saw that the corridor was empty. She left out a sigh of relief as she happily exclaimed "They left! They must have not really seen me then".

As she started running, the door to a classroom next to her suddenly opened, and as they saw Sherry they yelled out "There's a student over there, get her!"

"Nooooo!" Sherry yelled ducking while covering her head with her tiny arms.

When she peeked once again she saw that just like the other ones they were also gone. She once again let out a sigh of relief, "Thank goodness they still haven't found me!"

As she stood up and was about to start running again she tripped causing her to drop the key to the artifact, which Cid picked up as it landed by his feet.

when she looked up Sherry exclaimed "Cid!" Clearly excited to see him.

When Cid looked at her he just sighed and started patting her, "You really need to watch where you're going"

Sherry just started giggling, feeling warm and ticklish from Cid's head pats. She looked up to Cid and shyly said "I'm glad you're okay"

"I'm more worried about you. You really need to get at sneaking around" Cid said, sounding exasperated.

Sherry then put her fist at the side of her hips and tilted her hips slightly as she said "What are you talking about i was really great no one was able to detect out there"

Sherry then got really embarrassed by her actions and posed she quickly covered her face and started shaking her heads rapidly "Please forget you saw me do that"

Cid's face then got really serious which Sherry saw as she was peeking through her fingers and got nervous and serious herself

"No I can't forget that, that was too adorable" Cid said maintaining the same seriousness.

Which just made Sherry cover her face once again to cover red and flushed face.

"Anyways here" Cid said, handing her back the artifact.

"Oh right! Thank you" Sherry said while bowing her head expressing her gratitude.

She then realized they didn't have enough time to just stand there and start chatting. She grabbed Cid by the hand and started dragging him towards the vice-principal office.

"Come! We don't have a lot of time" she said while running, not yet realizing how intimate her actions are…
