64 Chapter 64

[Third Person's PoV]

As Shadow looked down on Alexia, Alexia pointed her sword towards Shadow and stood in a fighting position.

"Shadow" she growled "What are you planning? Why are you sending out your men to attack civilians?"

Shadow sent out a slither of his Conqueror's Haki and pressed it on Alexia, making her almost collapse due to the weight.

'This, This feeling, it's the same as back then, back at the dungeon' Alexia thought while trying to bear the weight of just a small amount of Shadow's will.

Experiencing this feeling just showed Alexia that she has no hope, she has no way to defeat him, her life is in his hands.

"Watch it, do not speak of things of which you have no knowledge of"

Hearing this Alexia started shaking in fear 'I just had to go and open my big mouth' Alexia thought.

"These posers could never hope match the might that is Shadow Garden"

Cid then stopped releasing his Conqueror's Haki and stopped at the edge of the rooftop. When turned around to leave Alexia couldn't help but call out to him, she knew it was stupid, she knew that all she had to do to survive was keep her mouth shut. But the words still couldn't help come out

"As a princess of this country, I have to know, are you a friend or foe? I know that right now I'm weak and that I don't have the strength to ask you such a question, but it's my duty to make sure this kingdom is safe. So I will ask you again… Are you a friend or foe"

Shadow just turned his head and kept looking at her, it got to the point where she got uncomfortable under his stare.

The next she blinked he already disappeared from where he was standing,

"That decision isn't for me to decide" was all Alexia heard in the empty alleyway.

She held up her shaky hands "I…I can't stop shaking, just how strong is he that his very being brings me such fear"

Cid appeared and dropped from the sky and slashed his sword in a clean arc completely cutting a poser in a perfect half.

The other poser that was with him turned around and started running for live. Cid didn't pay him any heed and turned around to leave, leaving the last guy to Nu who appeared in the direction the poser was running to, while still wearing her business outfit.

"Amazing work as always my lord" Nu nodded not completely ignoring the poser running to her direction

"You can leave these low-lifes to me my lord, there's no need to get your hands dirty" Nu said with a hand resting on her chest.

The poser that was running got infront of Nue and swung his sword in her direction to move her out the way.

The poser's finger as well as his hand were soon chopped up into pieces. Seeing that Shadow was gone, Nu's face turned sinister, "I'm not as kind or as merciful as Master Shadow, so don't expect a painless death" she said while stepping on his face.

–The next day–

Cid was walking along the cafeteria when he spotted Sherry casually walking while holding a tray in her hands.

Cid gained a red glint in his eyes and smirked to himself while looking at her 'Why am I having so much fun teasing her' he took out the box of Chocolate he got yesterday from gamma and walked towards her direction.

When he arrived next to hear he placed the chocolate on her tray and walked away while waving his wave and saying "Hope you enjoy them Sherry"

"Huh" was all Sherry managed to say before looking flustered "What? Why?" She said looking towards Cid but he was already a bit away while waving his hand.

"Huh," Sherry repeated, totally confused…

When she got towards the science research facility and sat down and started eating her lunch she saved the chocolates for last, although she didn't really know what they were.

When she was done eating her lunch she held a small piece of it towards the light to look at it carefully "Just what could this be…" she wondered.

It was at the moment that the vice-principal entered, and when he saw what Sherry was doing he asked "Oh, Sherry where did you manage to get Chocolate from?"

"Vice-prin… I mean father" she corrected herself before presenting him the box she was gifted.

"This… this was given to me by a boy I know" she said while blushing.

The vice principal was looking at box with a hand on his chin and said "oh so it was a present"

Which made Sherry blush more, "a Present but why?"

"He must have fallen in love with you, that's the kind of chocolates one would have to stand in line since first thing in the morning in order to get it. He must have gone through alot in order to get it" He said with a small smile.

Hearing this Sherry covered her face with the box she was holding to stop showing her embarrassment.

They both then started talking about the artifact, to which after a while made the vice principal go into a coughing fit.

After discussing her future and what she would do, the vice principal started leaving by the end of their discussion and as he was leaving he looked back and said "oh and don't forget to eat the chocolate…" and left.

Sherry sighed before sitting down and looking at the chocolate in front of her, she then took the piece she took out earlier and looked at it for a bit more before taking a bite.

"Hmmm, so sweet, it's delicious" she said before taking another piece and another.

While Cid was just walking around the courtyard of the school he suddenly said "Yes Nu?"

Nu who was about to speak up and grab his attention stopped and nodded her head with a smirk. 'As expected of lord Shadow, No could ever hope to even get the drop on him and surprise him'

Cid then turned towards her direction and looked at her up and down "Nice outfit, you look nice"

Nu hearing him blushed, she wasn't expecting to be complimented especially from her lord and especially since she's wearing something plain to blend in and disguise herself.

Nu put a finger by her mouth and said "This is supposed to be a secret mission from Lady Gamma, if she knew i infiltrated the school during day time, she'd be very upset"

Nu then gained a serious expression and said "It's every like how you predicted my lord, everything is going according to your plan. Although we were able to get much information from the target due to their powerful brainwashing, we know that everything that you have previously said is coming to fruition"

"So, did you hang the previous fools out in the open as a warning" Cid said.

Nu's eyes went wide "Wh-, ho-, no it's a foolish question" she smirked and asked "I hope I haven't complicated your plans my lord"

Cid smirked as he shook his head "Nope, if it was I would have stopped you, plus what you did was something I already predicted, I didn't have to pay any attention really"

Hearing him Nu's eyes filled with respect and adoration 'My lord is always 100 steps away from everyone it seems… I must get stronger so I would be able to support him' Nu thought…
