38 Chapter 38

[Cid's pov]

One of the main things you first have to do in school is select your courses and elective. You know the usual, Arithmetics, History, etc. For the practical elective I chose the Royal Bushin Style.

For two reasons, Alexia and it could be the only place where I could still practice even when in school, since it'll be considered a class.

When selecting the elective, the person in charge said "For this elective you have to take a practical test to decide at which group you best belong in, the groups are separated into proficiency with group 9 being the lowest and group 1 having the most proficient."

"So where do I go to take this test" I asked just wanting to get this over with.

"Here's a map of the school, so you got to go to the Training hall here" said the guy I didn't bother remembering the name of, while pointing at a building on the map.

"Thank you" I said as I got everything else in order, I then made my way towards the training hall.

When I went in the training hall, multiple students were line up waiting to give their name and be tested.

It would seem the test is a sparring match against none other then Zenon Griffey. Shocker.

After waiting for like 30 minutes I was next in line. "Name and what place do you think you belong in" said the person holding the line.

"Cid Kagenou, and group 1"

As soon as I said my name many gasped.

'Oh great, what did Claire do' I thought as I heard the exaggerated gasps behind me. I tried and listen carefully to what they were whispering to each other about.

"Is he related to THAT Claire Kagenou. The one that was said to be the most beautiful woman in Midgard and is even more powerful than Princess Iris."

"I heard that due to her strength and power many great noble family tried to recruit her into their military force but were quickly shot down no matter what anyone offered her."

"I heard that even the royal family went and tried to recruit her and failed, miserably as well when they tried to force her to join"

"I heard that due to her beauty she has received many marriage proposals but shot them down but when they just kept coming and getting annoying she brutally beat them with an inch of their life.....

she got so annoyed to the point that she set an offer. She said she would happily marry anyone that could beat her brother when he enrolls to the academy"

Okay I heard enough..... Did she really just throw all of her problems onto me. No freaking wonder some of the boys got super excited when they heard my name. Everyone and their mother probably heard of this offer.

I'll deal with her when I get the chance.

But now onto more important things.

I went and grabbed the wooden sword that was presented to me and stood infront of Zenon, at a respectable distance.

Zenon just nodded towards me and with a smirk said "I hope you're at least as good as your sister"

I just gave a smirk of my own as I said "Don't worry, I'm better"

And with that I attacked him.

With a step I completely disappear from everyone's view and reappeared infront of Zenon catching him completely by surprise.

Luckily due to his instinct he just manages to slightly block my sword swing but it was at a awkward angle.

I didn't give him time to readjust his position and sent more attacks his away.

He would manage to block some but some would still work their way in.

He would try and attack himself but I would always parry and return the assault with an even stronger force.

Forearm, wrist, chest, and with a plunch into the stomach, Zenon was soon brought to one knee.

Zenon was using his wooden sword as support and catching his breath, while I aimed my own sword right under his chin and right onto his neck.

"I hope that this is enough for me to be in group 1."

Zenon while still catching his breath slowly nodded.

He then extended a hand to help him up, I really want to refuse but in a school full of knights the would seem dishonorable.

So reluctantly I had to help him up.

He then took a firm grip on my hand and gave it a shake "Woah, young man you really are strong"

"Don't do that"

"Excuse me?" He asked confused.

So I reiterated "Don't patronize me you weren't even trying"

"You can't really expect me to go all out on students do you"

"This could barely be called a spar, so don't do that it's disgusting"

With that I just went and put the sword were they belong and tried to leave the training hall but couldn't cause of all the students blocking the way with a stunt expression.

No one would have expected for me to beat him it would seem.

My voice then turn cold as I commanded "Move". Which frighten them and caused them to scurry along and move out of the way.

And just like Moses, I departed the sea of people and made my way towards the dorm rooms.

Once I reached my assigned dorm, I quickly went inside and laid in bed, feeling bored I went forth and using my shadow I called Alpha from it.

"Hey Alpha you busy"

"No, I always have time for you"

"Wanna come over for a bit"

"Sure, just let me organize everything"

After a few minutes Alpha slowly appeared from the shadows and climbed onto bed with me. Wrapping my arms around her waist I pulled her closer and sank my face onto her chest.

While my face was in her chest even though I couldn't see her face i knew she was smiling. She started to caress my hair playfully as she asked "So how was it"

"Mentally exhausting, I just found out that almost every boy in the entire school body would be coming after my head cause of Claire's stupid offer"

Alpha just started giggling slightly as she said "To be fair my lord, it's thanks to your blood that Claire has turned out so pretty. So it was obvious she was going to receive male attention"

"Oh, so you're saying it's my fault then, and what did we say about the my lord stuff when we're alone"

"N-no I'm not saying it's your fault I was jus-"

I just stopped her before she could start rambling "I was joking you can relax. And your technically not wrong but still she should be able to solve her own problems. I was just venting.

But I wasn't joking about the my lord stuff. We've been together for two years already"

"Sigh, your right but to me it still feels like I'm disrespecting you if I call you anything lesser, any other name I try to come up just doesn't feel natural"

I then look up from her breast and shifted myself and got to an eye level with her.

I slowly went and kissed her soft tender lips that tasted like spring as I said "You can just keep calling me my lord if you want or even just Cid if it's easier for you"

Alpha just smile and gave me a kiss of her own and snuggled closer "Thank you, my lord"

And like that we spent the rest of the day cuddling.
