Chapter 111

[Third Person's PoV]

Cid and Sherry both entered the restaurant, and almost immediately, a waitress appeared and bowed towards them, saying, "Please follow me; your table and seating have already been reserved…"

Sherry looked at Cid, confused, while Cid just smiled reassuringly at her. Hand in hand, they followed the waitress as she led them to an elevator. Once they all entered, the waitress took out some keys from her pocket and inserted them into the keyhole by the elevator buttons.

A button then appeared at the top of all the other buttons, which the waitress hit, and off they went toward the highest floor, enjoying the elevator music on the way.

Once they arrived, they were shown to their seats by a window overlooking the entire city, which began to light up due to the growing darkness.

As they seated, the waitress presented them with their menu before slightly bowing once again, saying, "Once you have decided on your order, please let me know," before walking away.

"Did you already have everything prepared before inviting me?" Sherry asked curiously as she opened the menu and started reading.

"Somewhat, I just had to say the word, and they would already have everything I wanted completed," Cid replied.

Sherry nodded in understanding. After all, he was the leader of a large organization. She looked around the empty room and asked with a bit of unease and nervousness in her tone, "Don't you think this is kinda much?"

To which Cid just smiled and shook his head, saying, "I'm spending time with you; nothing can be too much for such an event."

Sherry blushed slightly before holding up her menu to block her face.

After a few minutes, Cid then asked, "Have you picked what you would like to eat?"

Sherry nodded her head, and Cid called over the waitress, and they both placed their orders.

The waitress nodded, saying, "And it shall be done; please wait a minute," before scurrying along.

The two then started talking about Sherry's time in the Shadow Garden, how she was enjoying herself, and how much she had learned in that short period of time. Even that Eta and she were getting along very well.

Their meal then came, and the waitress nodded towards them, saying, "Please enjoy."

"Thanks 502, and tell 476 she has my gratitude for the meal," Cid said towards her with a smile.

Her eyes widened before a big smile appeared on her face. She bowed her head as she said, "It's a pleasure to be serving you, master," before skipping away with a large smile on her face.

'Kyaaa, he knows, he knows who we are, as expected of our leader,' she inwardly thought, smiling.

"You know, now that you mention it… you didn't give me a name," Sherry shyly pouted before digging into her food.

Cid looked at her in confusion, "huh?"

Sherry's cheeks flushed as she muttered, "Well, everyone that joined received a number or a name; I just never received one."

Cid just chuckled, finding it amusing, which caused Sherry to grow embarrassed. Cid tapped Sherry's forehead, saying, "Very well. From this moment forth, as the leader of the Shadow Garden, I, Shadow, shall bestow upon you the name of Phi."

"There… what do you think?" Cid asked with a teasing smirk.

"Phi, phi, phi, I like it," she said with a big grin.

"I'm glad," Cid said as they continued eating and talking. After they finished, Sherry still looked around nervously as she still wasn't used to high-end places.

Cid, thinking of a way to get her mind off of it, smirked as he stood up and offered his hand towards her.

In confusion, she instinctively took it before Cid used his magic to move everything around them, positioning the two in the middle with the light of the chandelier directly above them.

Cid, using his sound magic, made the illusion of an orchestra playing.

"W-W-What are you doing!?" she asked with a flushed face.

Cid, meanwhile, smiled towards her and started to softly start dancing, following the music, "You're worrying too much about what's around you, so I'm going to teach you how to concentrate on just me," he said with a confident expression, one that Sherry found attractive as she started blushing.

"But I don't know how to dance…" she said shyly.

Cid just looked at her with a smirk, "What are you talking about, aren't we dancing right now?"

Sherry was at first confused before looking at the way she and Cid were moving. She was surprised to find herself moving and dancing through the room hand in hand with one another.

Before she became more self-conscious of what she was doing, Cid distracted her once more, saying, "See, there's nothing to worry about. Just follow the flow of the music and follow my lead like you have been doing."

Sherry nodded, unsure of herself, and did as Cid instructed.

Cid just continued looking at her in the eyes, forcing her to stay. No words were said as they just danced together close to one another.

Slowly, the tension between them started to build as they moved around while they maintained eye contact. Everything around Sherry started to become unimportant. She only focused on Cid's eyes before her eyes slightly shifted towards his lips, then back to his eyes, which Cid noticed.

"You don't have to be shy, you know. If you want something, you should just take it. I wouldn't ever decline," Cid said.

Sherry closed her eyes and stopped dancing before she went on her tiptoes and kissed Cid on the lips.

As they kissed, Sherry parted her lips and said something that completely took Cid by surprise, "I want to do it."

"Huh?"

Sherry blushed before looking Cid in the eyes, "I want to spend the night with you… I want to be more intimate," she said before closing her eyes, afraid of being rejected.

"And can I ask why? This isn't the type of thing you would normally ask," Cid asked with a raised brow.

Growing flustered, Sherry then said, "There are multiple reasons, actually. I want to repay you for all you've done for me–"

"Then I'll decline your offer."

"Wha–"

"Please have more self-importance. You are my wife. Please don't think about giving your body to me like that as a type of payment."

Sherry just smiled before shaking her head, gaining just a bit more courage thanks to Cid's words. "You didn't let me finish."

Cid didn't say anything else; he nodded his head and let her continue as they continued to dance with the orchestra still playing.

"Um, I previously mentioned Eta and I have been growing closer since working together, and she talks about what the two of you do. She talks about it with so much love that I'm starting to get curious.

You said I was your wife, but you haven't made a move on me… or mentioned wanting to do that.

But since you said if I want something I should take it, then that's what I'm going to do," she said with a smile while her cheeks started going red.

Cid studied her expression before nodding. He stopped dancing and held Sherry's face softly before lowering himself and kissing her lips softly.

The two stayed locked in their kissing for close to a minute until Cid parted and pressed his forehead against hers. "I'll be more than happy to fulfill your wish of being intimate together."

Cid then surrounded them with his shadow, and they both disappeared from where they were standing, leaving the two peeping toms behind as they let out a disappointing sigh.

"Sigh… I wish that was me. He could have taken me right there on the floor if he wanted to and I would have happily spread my legs."

"MacKenzie … we're not in our school persona. You don't have to act like this anymore."

MacKenzie looked at her friend in confusion. "... Who said I was acting?"

"Wha–"
