2 Life in Gosha - Part 1

At somewhere secluded in Gosha Village....

Asagi knelt down respectfully to an old man, who gazed upon her with neutrality. This old man was the Elder of the Asagi Clan, who had grown wise enough to pass the title of Head to someone.

"Asagi, do you know why I called you here?" He asked, making Asagi nod.

"It's about the Rouge Taimanin, correct?"

The Elder grumbled, but considered his existence nonetheless.

"Explain his abilities, or what you saw of him when you met. His words, his actions, tell me anything useful to us."

Then Asagi began to explain, allowing the Elder to think what to do next.

A Taimanin using Mana and Taima Particles? That isn't truly possible. Both types of Energy cancel out each other!

And about his origin.... It's possible that he might be possessed by an even stronger Demon, maybe one of those who attacked the village of Gosha 18 years ago.

... It's not right.

It wasn't.

That was improbable.

The attack was so small, it would have only let some lower ranked Taimanin dead!

'.... Unless.... I might be overthinking this....'

Naturally, he should've just ignored him, but the trouble he was giving actually made the formerly retired Asagi to return, so.....

".... Asagi, I will permit you to assist the investigation team just to find his whereabouts. Under the law, you are allowed to slay him. He is already a lost cause."

This caused Asagi to go silent and ponder what had happened to that man. Who really is he? While she wanted to find out, she had no choice but to slay him.

"But, is he really a lost cause?" She asked, and the Elder glared.

"Yes, I'm certain. Now I'll just be an old man, fufufu..."

After making a respectful gesture, Asagi left to report to Section Three, leaving the elder alone.

Then he took a glance to his side and smiled, saying:

".... Now, for the better concerns, why don't you come out, Mr. Black? We have a deal to make, as you said."

When those words came out, a well-dressed man exited from the shadows, with a small confident smirk on his face.

".... You get the drift, old man. I am interested in making someone like that Rogue Taimanin to join my side, but just doing so won't make our little Head to have her potential raised." He said casually, as if this was something he'd wanted in the start.

"So what do you want to do?" The Elder asked, and "Mr. Black's" smile became wider.

What could their plans be?

[ ~ Line • Break ~ ]

Many days had passed since Asagi reported to Section Three about her findings, only to be surprised that she was to stay in Gosha Academy as both a Teacher and the Headmaster until further orders.

By then, in the Academy, Cid was in his seat in his classroom, listening to the teacher who was none other than Asagi Igawa.

She was teaching them about Ninja Arts and how they work, as well as about Demons and their abilities.

First, about the Demons. They are a group of races and species that are generalized as one, for example, Orcs, Vampires, Dagon, Succubi, Incubi.

She even taught the students that they can be defeated mostly by their only weakness: Taima Particles.

Taima Particles exist in every Taimanin, and these can be used to strengthen and reinforce a Taimanin's body, senses, and even access their Ninja Arts if they have awakened it.

Aside from that, they are effective against all demons and are separated by classifications: Element Arts such as Fire, Wind, Water, Lightning, Wood, Metal, and Ex-Elemental Arts such as Beast, Beast Tamer, Void, and anything else classified as such.

By that conclusion, Cid has a Void Ninja Art he solely used for his techniques, his Liquid Metal clothing is something different.

But why is it that when he uses Ninja Arts, it might not affect his clothing when he is Shadow? Because he tempered it with mana to such a degree that it gained a high tolerance to Taima Particles.

Aside from that, as an NPC he must have a considerable background, although not interacting much with the Main Character, who he realized was both Asagi and Sakura.

.... No, not really.

There are more people in the academy that he can consider Main Characters, it's as if this Academy itself is filled with them!

There was the generic protagonist, Akiyama Tatsurou, blue hair, timid and shy, probably has a girlfriend.

There are also Heroines (Female Main Characters), which he classified as several Taimanin he saw around the academy, looking notable not just due to their body and personality but also popularity.

He also knew that there are Taimanin Heroines outside of Gosha Academy, minding their own business or even being in the middle of their own missions.

Now what?

He goes to doing either one of his hobbies in the Academy: Studying the biologies of demons in the library to prepare to fight every single one of them with barely any problems, and the study of Medical Arts.

Or: one of the general Ninja Arts that can be learned by anyone.

He already learned many general Ninja Arts, which he deemed useful, carried all the way from his past life, for example: Martial Arts, Grappling/Wrestling Arts, Weapon Arts, and even the strange Bedroom/Erotic Arts that Taimanin use to survive longer in erotic situations.

As Cid Kagenou, he aims to be a decently good enough support unit to a group he doesn't know until he does meet them.

It's not even a problem for him to stay by the sidelines and mind his own business.

For now, he had some things to do here.

"Cid! Cid, hey!"

".... Hm? Yukiaze-san, what are you doing here?"

While he was reading on the library, he took a glance at Yukikaze, a girl with tanned skin who he had been acquaintances with for a while since for one year.

She is usually interacting with him in regards to videogames, especially FPS games, but now she suddenly gained interest in fighting games like Shin Tekken, Street Fighter XVI, and some more.  (*1)

He did interact with her before, so why now?

"Ah, I'm glad I found you right here..."  She said, putting her hands at her waist. "What are you even doing here, Cid? I thought you were in your home?"

"Studying. Anything wrong with that?" He replied, turning the page of the book he is holding on.

"Last time I checked, that wasn't even part of your subject." After saying that, she crossed her arms. "Hey, it's not like I was too worried about you being away from a lot of people at times, you really need to come with me now, otherwise you'd be wasting your time."

At this moment, Cid was deciding whether or not to stop reading. But, something had to be done, right? He can't be reading the same book for the 25th time since he already remembered the contents enough to be engraved deeply in his mind.

So, he gave her the chance.

"I have a lot of free time, so why not?" He replied with honesty, closing the book and putting it back to its shelf. He, right now, did not have the idea of going anywhere as Shadow.

For a moment, Yukikaze gained a slight smile on her face, before feeling embarrassed about it.

The two left the library, and soon enough they went into the tanned girl's home.

Inside the house, Cid wandered around for a bit, noticing that the girl was always alone in her home, like him.

She had a family portrait hanging on the ceiling, where a younger Yukikaze, along with her parents were together.

Then Cid's eyes went towards the woman. Naturally not helping but appreciate her body, yet as she was a married woman, he should respect her.

'Shiranui, Yukikaze's mother, presumed missing or dead. But is she really dead? Oho~ I smell a deep plotline....'

Without another moment of thought, he blinked his eyes, walking upstairs to where his Upperclassgirl is.

He was greeted by a nice, cutesy room expected for a girl, and in the side, there was a gaming chair, and a whole computer setup that was full of high-quality hardware.

'... I couldn't even afford all that....' Cid complained, much to his dismay.

Something else he noticed was that there was a monobloc plastic chair right beside the gaming chair, making him wonder which chair is which.

Yukikaze was on the comfy gaming chair, awaiting him.

"I had no other choice, this was the only chair that was good enough!" She said, as if apologizing.

"That's okay, I like that chair, actually." Cid replied nonchalantly, much to her relief.

And so, she booted up her computer.
