6 Just another day in Gosha Academy

Edwin Black grunted as he analyzed the footage coming from the advanced CCTVs and a few drones hidden on places within Tokyo.

Mainly at the ones where Shadow and Asagi were fighting.

'Usage of vampiric arts, magic and even Ninja Arts that were either supposedly lost or not... Shrouded in mystery and elusiveness, what is your purpose? Did you come from the Dark World, or.... do you seek vengeance?'

He clicked his tongue, feeling annoyed that such an anomaly had existed, foiling his well-made plans for Asagi.

While it was admirable he did make her use her Ninja Art once again and force her to use her abilities to the fullest, she unexpectedly lost, sadly.

So what?

Shadow using a vampire's abilities while having the capabilities of a Taimanin meant either two possibilities: He's a vampire and a Taimanin's son, or he's his own son birthed from an interbreeding experiment that survived his daughter's hunt or wasn't even attacked yet.

Both were possible.

Even so....

Edwin is still annoyed by the fact that he existed, as a possible foil to all of his future plans. He could consider Shadow as a threat, but him appearing was nothing more than pure coincidence.

Glancing at Oboro, who had just been resurrected and is looking furious while she knelt down fearfully towards him, he opened his mouth.

"Oboro, we have a change of plans. Because Asagi at this moment is still at a state of recovery, you won't have to do anything with Asagi for now. Feel free to do anything you'd like." He spoke, and the woman's eyes widened.

"You can't be serious, right?" She replied, and his stern gaze only shut her up.

"I'll solve this problem myself. Don't interfere until I said so. You're dismissed, Oboro. I will expect fewer failures in the future." Edwin's tone was full of disdain, before his eyes moved somewhere else.

He had his plans for the girl, even if it meant having to go a bit harsher in his measures to make Asagi suffer and make her stronger through this, hopefully making her awaken something deep inside her.

But why is he so obsessed with her? Only time will tell.

Meanwhile, Cid was inside Gosha Academy, learning stuff like a mob as usual, whose teacher is none other than Shizuru Kousaka, who right now is teaching him and his classmates another language, which was English.

She is a busty blonde Taimanin dressed in the usual teacher's outfit, a buttoned shirt, and a pencil skirt that went down just above her knees.

[ IMAGE FOR REFERENCE ]

She is currently working at Gosha Academy as a Teacher (like Asagi), rumored to be the smartest Taimanin of this current generation, though at times she will be sent out with her squad for missions.

A lot of students really liked ogling over her body, and she didn't even mind it.

And to Cid's eyes, she was the stereotypical smart, wise and beautiful heroine that might be manipulated through stupid plot devices.

The language part was nothing much to him since he had already started learning a few languages like German, French, and Russian in his past life.

Too bad he wasn't a master in speaking all of these since he uses them for chunnibyo reasons.... Most of the time. Mastering in speaking all of them was a hassle so he decided to master English first, then German in the second.

Cid wasn't even interested in learning English because he considered himself multilingual.

So, he decided to blankly stare at the blackboard or outside the window near him while barely listening to the teacher, necessary to pass the time. Either that or pumping his muscles with a tool that was modified to be completely silent.

Nothing out of the ordinary.

That was until Shizuru briefly became silent and approached Cid as he daydreamed about what he does as Shadow or John Smith.

Then she slammed her riding crop on his table, making him jolt up and immediately look at her with a surprised face.

His classmates stopped themselves from chuckling as they expected him to be reprimanded for being a procrastinator in his class.

"Eh? Ah, huh?" As if dumbfounded, he looked to his sides before staring up at Shizuru.

His teacher gave him an immense glare that would have shaken even people who had decently strong willpower.

She leaned forwards, and his stare did not ever gaze down to her bountiful chest. With a face full of seriousness she pressed her riding crop on his chin.

"Cid, stay in this classroom. I have some things to ask you about."

".... Is it about my grades?" He asked, thinking there was absolutely nothing wrong with them.

"Maybe~" Shizuru suddenly switched expressions to a playful one, winking towards Cid as she began to speak english. "Now, listen up! You will keep your eyes on the board, or else!"

"Fine..." He replied, and the teacher let go of him as she walked back to her previous position.

Resting his head on his palm, he pretended to listen, something he thought that Shizuru might have already noticed due to her intelligence.

This part of hers was something Cid was aware, since there will be a chance his identity will be connected to him when he becomes Shadow. Therefore, evading her was the best choice of action.

That might just be his light paranoia attack, though. Since it was a possibility, he'd still have to keep low.

"Alright, since we have some more time after our lesson. I have a short announcement to make! Consider this a secret between us, okay~?" Shizuru began to speak with a smile.

"We are hand-picking several Trainee Taimanin who have awakened their Ninja arts or are capable enough to small training missions, approved directly by Section Three and a Prime Minister! I'm not disclosing when it will start, though. That would be a complete breach in the agreement."

For a moment, there was silence in the room, and then many of the students roared out in surprise.

"What?!"

"Why would you say that?"

"Woah! Does that mean we finally get actual missions aside from boring mock missions and school? Awesome!"

The students right at this classroom had mixed reactions, a part didn't like it, another part of the students were excited about this, and the rest was neutral.

Cid had felt a bit of excitement from this alone, and decided it would be best to just follow along if he was picked: his Mob-fu is going to be seen in full action!

This alone is also a black flag to some unlucky students on this classroom, since sometimes, this is a plotline that involved bad endings, considering this world is from some Eroge he hadn't played.

For a long time, he hadn't really had much fun playing the NPC because there were no interesting events he could play along to, but for now, he might become a Side Character, or just random fodder.

That part of his thoughts felt irritating, since fodders are at a position even lower than NPCs since they can barely do anything to drive plot to a certain place but only to make some people look cool.

This is their purpose and they have no use for anything else. Cid hated being in this position.

Anyway, after the class was over, he was now being "interrogated" by the English teacher who wondered why his grades are always around a flat B and he almost frequently goes here late.

There was nothing wrong with that, so he just followed on, until she gave up and allowed him to take his lunch break, not before advising him to not be late and increase his grades.

Soon, in the cafeteria, he sat alone in one of the seats, eating whatever was given to him and the other students.

"Cid, you're alone again, hm? Something wrong?" Yukikaze said as she sat down with her own tray.

"Nothing, just waiting for the lunch break to be almost over."

Yukikaze crossed her arms, being annoyed at this nonchalant attitude he has.

"Seriously? Cid, you can't be serious...."

The two decided to be silent, as one of them was still awkwardly shy to talk about her feelings, and the other was minding his own business.

It wouldn't be long before the one of them finished their own meals.

"Yukikaze, you haven't finished your meal," Cid spoke, glancing down at the meal that was left unfinished, it looked tasty.

Then she pushed her own tray towards Cid, glancing away while some part of her face began to heat up.

"G-Go on, then. You're still hungry, right?"

Cid gladly accepted and finished the meal, at least that was what Yukikaze imagined was happening.

In reality, he was pretty surprised that he gets an extra meal, when he visibly tried to refuse, the tanned girl didn't see his face so he had no other choice.

On the sidelines, the Akiyama brother and sister duo, Tatsurou and Rinko took glances at Yukikaze and Cid's interactions.

[ IMAGE FOR REFERENCE ]

Tatsurou is a Dark blue haired boy who looked like an ikemen, but in reality he's a background character with a barely awakened Ninja Art that had gained some importance in this fanfiction.

[ IMAGE FOR REFERENCE ]

Rinko has the same eye and hair colors as her younger brother, Tatsurou, and is one of the most skilled and strongest swordswomen in Gosha Academy not just due to her skill, but also the Ninja Art she awakened.

Her Ninja Art is called Void Arts, which works very similarly to Cid's own.

"Yukikaze... Who is that boy, and what is he doing?" Tatsurou asked himself, staring at Cid who bluntly ate her food as she looked away.

Tatsurou didn't know Cid, other than his apparently bland appearance, and thinking about it, he wasn't meeting Yukikaze as frequently as she once did a year ago.

What was wrong with her? He was feeling a bit worried, honestly.

Rinko also had the same train of thought and couldn't help but approach the two of them.

"Tatsurou, let's approach the two of them."

Nodding his head, the two decided to confront Yukikaze and Cid.
