"You...Who are you?" Zane's throat was dry and hoarse.

The woman looked down at him, there was a large smile on her face suddenly, "I am your benefactor. I would make you worthy."

Zane caught the word, "Worthy?"

The woman was suddenly quiet and she moved around, she was adding something to the vial of reddish gold that was connected to him. Reddish gold, the vial had the same viscosity as blood but it could not be blood, right?

Zane swallowed, What was she injecting into him? How long had he been here? Would it have adverse effects that he could not control? He could not even look around.

"What is that? What are you adding to that reddish-gold liquid? Is it Athame?" He sniffed deeply but he was not sure. Athame had a light, almost sweet fragrance, this one was very similar but there was still some difference. Modified Athame? He needed to know what was going into his body.
