Getting Situated

"If you would follow me..."

Elder Feng waved his hand. On his pointer finger, an emerald green ring flashed in a faint light. Before the elder, a spatial portal appeared. Shuyun eyed the process with interest.

From awakening in this world, he had begun to adapt and taken the mass amount of knowledge he was able to lay his eyes upon. As he was placed in this world with no knowledge of it, it could be said the amount of information pertaining to the subject of the ways of the world couldn't amount to more than that of a toddler.

So from the event that had transpired before him, he assumed that teleportation may not be an ability that one could possess in this world, but something that could be achieved through means of a 'magical' ring.

Of course, this was just his inference, and he was not planning on bombarding Yeyin with every question his new-born like self had. He figured it would be best to learn from experience to enable him to truly adapt, as not at all times would Yeyin be there to be his information outlet.

The Elder walked in first, Shuyun and Yeyin following after.

Through the same feeling of spatial travel, Shuyun appeared on the other side. Not at all surprising to him, a marvelous building, though a mere mimic in the presence of the palace, presented itself before him.

Unlike the palace, what greeted Shuyun was a tall building, that which in it, layers and layers of balconies stretched all the way up the, what he assumed to be, around 40 story building. On the beginning floor balconies, he could see around 6 doors on each 'floor'. It reminded him of the performance centers of park cruises where all the cruise ship rooms overlooked the main area of the ship. This building was similar, though, only around 6 doors could be seen per each 'floor' that with its size was equivalent to a soccer field.

Yeyin showed no reaction to the dorms of the academy, as if she had seen it many times before. Shuyun assumed that even if she hadn't seen such a place before, that the place itself seems to dim all that challenge its architectural authority.

Besides the view the academy dorms granted him, Shuyun also noticed no way to access the multiple stories' unless you could fly. There was no stairs or portal in sight, and in fact, the whole ground floor was literally empty. Not only was there not any people, but there was no items or objects that adorned the ground floor. It was strange to him, as he expected that, following the image of the dorm, paintings and endless decorations would follow.

It was then that Elder Feng turned to look at them, explaining the situation of maneuverability.

"Much like the ring I used to get here..."

Elder Feng brought the emerald ring up to eye level.

"The academy uses similar rings for room transportation, though not as universal as mine, the ones assigned to you by dorm are limited to teleportation in designated areas of the first dome."

He signaled his hand, a darker green gemmed ring appearing in front of Shuyun.

"As we had already expected your arrival and entrance to Asteroia, we have already made accommodations for you with its ring already assigned."

Shuyun nodded in thanks as Elder Feng continued.

"As you now possess the ring, you are able to enter your dorm from anywhere in the jurisdiction of the Academy. With that being said, I will start formally training starting tomorrow, as I think its in your best interests for me to help you become familiarized with the works in which you will be traveling to and from daily."

Seeing Shuyun stare with a bit of confusion towards the ring, Elder Feng once again spoke.

"The Dorm Ring functions much like that of a storage ring, in which you would have to inject qi to enact its engraved formation. Upon doing so, a portal will open up for you in the place of our current standing."

Shuyun smiled as he acted as if he was presented with a revelation. In truth, he still hadn't learned to circulate qi, but was hoping that with the start of Elder Feng's instruction, it could be sorted out. He figured it was best to first allow Elder Feng to complete his walkthrough of the academy before briefing him on the current situation of his cultivation.

He was also moderately surprised that Jia and the Elders didn't question his progress in cultivation, as even he was deem something of the nature mandatory for such a high status academy, much less its top class. But then again, all of this special treatment came at the name of the Queen which he couldn't help but remain in awe at the total respect she held within everyone.

"First, we will start with the Asteroias training grounds..."
