A Glimpse at Geniuses

A portal opened up in front of him. Elder Feng signaled with his hand, prompt Yeyin and Shuyun to go first.

Appearing at the other side, Shuyun gazed upon a large arena. Now, even the word large itself failed to truly give one perception for its immense size.

It was enormous, and by earths standards, should be an arena that could fit more than 300,000 people!

All of this said to be part of a training ground?

Upon focusing his gaze below on the arena stage, he could see many students of the academy fighting. The stage was fairly large, many times larger than a full soccer field, and had plenty of space for students to battle with space between each other.

Shifting his attention to the rather small audience spectating on the arena seats, he could see many adamantly watching the occurring battles on stage.

It was then that Yeyin and Elder Feng appeared behind him, having followed him through the portal.

After having let Shuyun digest the scene, he spoke out.

"This arena before you is used both as a stage for the academies main events, and while not in use, utilized by our students to unleash their full prowess without worry for damaging their environment"

Yeyin also slightly glanced at the audience and participants of the ongoing battles, though not for more than a second.

"Here, you could expect the next Tournament of the First Dome to happen in a months time. This event is open to all students of the academy to spectate and reoccurs in half a year periods"

As the trio looked over the arena, a pair of elves lightly gazed upon them from the opposite side of the arena.

"A personal tour by the first elder?"

An interesting glint appeared in the voices eyes. Her ruby pupils radiating interest. Looking to the other female elf beside her, she spoke.

"I don't believe entrees are permitted after the trial exams no?"

The elf beside her glanced at her with tired eyes, already knowing the direction the conversation was going.

"That is true for most, but of course, there are exceptions, you are no different"

The ruby eyed elf seemed to take pride in her servants hidden praise as she let out a light smile.

Recognizing this, the servant tried a last ditch effort to avoid the upcoming chore.

"Mistress, there are many privately selected students from many different families permitted by the academy, most could be attributed to high connections as you've seen that many of the candidates you had me keep an eye on lacked talent. While the Asteroia academy may be known for its prestige, not all take its name at value, and instead attend for sake of social status."

The elf, named mistress by the servant, smile only widen are the clear attempt to find a way out.

"It doesn't hurt to maintain watch on any possible competition. Its better to keep surprises at a minimum. I wouldn't want any hidden talents rising in the shadows without my expectation."

The servant sighed.

"Give me a week mistress"

Shuyun continued to look over the area, admiring with his eyes the many abilities being showcased. Even now the fantasy of this world had yet to set within his mind.

Elder Feng watched Shuyun obvious interest as he remained behind him. Though, even with his age and experience, he couldn't make an assumption of his thoughts. As he had really no idea of shuyuns true prowess or talent, he wasn't sure exactly just who he was beside the fact of obtaining the queens favor.

"The tournament, as I said, is open to all, and I feel it would be a great opportunity for us to showcase the the talents of our academy.

Shuyun nodded at the words of the elder, then turning to face him.

Elder Feng noticed shuyun had finished with gaze across the arena and began to open another portal.

The three of them stepped out of a portal.

before them, a tall, large building laid bare for their vison. Though, contrary to the previous buildings which had a glamourous and royal tone to them, the one they were currently facing radiated an ancient, dated aura. Instead of the shinning marble that covered the city and its buildings, this building was colored in a darkish brown color, and in shuyuns perspective, may be the most normal thing he had seen in this world besides the cabin in the forest.

The was almost no traction in and out of the building, it had seemed most were out training at this time of day.

"This building is one of our legacy, where all of the academies assets and treasures are kept. Here, you can come and request any resource of your choosing if you ever need..."

'So this is the treasury so to speak. I wonder how old this building is. Must be fairly important to prevent renovations to such a dated structure in contrast with the rest of the academy.'

Shuyun thought as he viewed the building before him.

Elder Feng then paused for a moment.

"As a matter of fact, as you have just joined our academy, let me offer you one of our treasured weapons as a welcoming gift."

Shuyun turn to face the elder.

'A treasured weapon?'
