A Foundation of Beginning

"Mother, where are you taking me?"

Meiying asked in a questioning and uncertain tone. She very well knew the extension of power her mother possessed, so her feats of speed and abilities came to no surprise to her. Still, her understanding of the gravity of her words and the effect it had on her mother was not of the brightest. Her mother's drastic change in mood even confused her, as even she couldn't tell whether the state of her mind was one of joy.

As she passed through space so fast that even light failed to render, these thoughts couldn't help but further upset her. But it seemed as if her questions would soon be answered as her mother remained quiet, suddenly stepping out of her fast travel, bringing Meiying by the hand with her.

Stepping now once again on solid ground, Meiying peered at her surroundings. After stepping out of the realm of passing, a movement technique unique to royal elves, the bright light of the room greeted her.

During the execution of the realm of passing, one would separate themselves from reality, traveling between the fabrics that the foundation of the world rests upon, where nothing exists. This allowed one to achieve insurmountable speeds without the restraints of the physical world. Meiying had learned about this once before, as she, even though lacking experience, had very perceptive eyes. She could learn the first time she saw something. Her eyes granted her a unique intelligence, constantly gaining an understanding of the world around her. Her eyes were even able to decipher the gate to the Ever Moving Forest, which even her mother couldn't believe. She still didn't, as she had not asked her daughter, even with her mothers intelligence with the many years she's lived, Shuyun was the common culprit.

Entering this bright room, a white light filled her vision. It was so mystical that laying her eyes on it brought her to a state of mindless relaxation. She wanted nothing more than to collapse to the floor and close her eyes, basking herself in this hearty environment.

Her mother noticed this, lightly tapping the back of her head, allowing some her nature qi to pass through her hand, bringing Meiying out of her weary state. Once again gaining her clarity of mind, Meiying was able to focus her eyes to the sight before her.

Bright.

Really all that one describe upon witnessing this scene. But as Meiyings mystical eyes did their work, a manifestation of a translucent tree appeared in her vision. Its branches spread out through the room, as if they themselves held the world together. White mist gathered at the edges of the room, giving the room an infinite feel. The tree, only noticeable by the constant presence of light densed upon its figure, stood as if only the light withheld its ascendance to the after life. Here, Meiying felt as if she was viewing the world as she knew it before her.

Her mother slowly analyzed her reaction. Watching her bright eyes tracing every spec of the room, she couldn't help but smile.

"a... tree?" Meiying spoke dazedly.

This only reassured Meiyings affinity with nature, but still, the real test remained shortly ahead.
