Chapter 41-Khione vs Marsh

Just like Flint, Khione was running away from Gambino's guards until a metal wall rises out of the floor behind her, separating Khione from the guards.

Khione stops running then doubles over and places her hands on her knees, gasping for breath.

"Oh, thank goodness…" she pants.

Drip…

Drip…

Khione then hears some dripping noises, as she feels a droplet of moisture splatter against her nose.

"Huh…?" Khione asks herself as she touches a hand to her nose then holds her hand up to her face to see, revealing the brown moisture that she had touched.

"EW, SHIT WATER!" Khione gags as she frantically flails her hand in an attempt to air-dry the brown liquid off of it.

Drip…

Drip…

Khione hears another dripping sound, and peers down at her feet, where she sees a puddle of brown liquid beginning to form.

"Is there…a broken pipe…?" Khione asks as she peers upwards, but before she can get a good look at the ceiling, a brown mass falls from the ceiling upon Khione, completely engulfing her in a sticky brown substance.

"Wh-what's happening?!" Khione cries as she flails about while being smothered by the brown putty-like, moist substance.

"I-Ice Charge, Level One: Permafrost!" Khione cries as she freezes the brown blob covering her, encasing it in ice, before cold-snapping the ice.

Khione's ice explodes, sending shards of ice flying everywhere, as the brown glob lets out a yelp, before wiggling off of Khione and scooting backwards.

"Wh-who's there?!" Khione cries as she jumps up to her feet.

The brown blob then begins to rise out of the ground and take a human form, a young woman a bit older than Khione, maybe twenty-one, or so, about five foot five, with loooong shit-brown hair that covers her face, orangish-brown eyes, and is wearing a matching latex skin suit.

"Oh…how i've been waiting to meet you," the woman swoons as she doubles-over to the side, causing her hair to fall down, "My dear Khione."

Khione tenses up.

"How do you know who I am…?" She growls.

"Oh, I know EVERYTHING about you, Khione…" the woman swoons again, "I am Marsh, an assassin of the Assassin Trio hired by Gambino to kill you and your team. I picked you out myself as my target. You see…I always LOVE killing the cute girls…"

Khione shudders as she resumes her Charge Stance.

"Ice Charge, Level Two: Solid Hammer!" Khione shouts as she swipes both hands outwards, freezing the air above Marsh's head, and causing a giant block of ice to begin falling down through the air towards March.

Marsh simply peers up at Khione's block of ice and smirks.

Khione's block of ice then smashes into Marsh, and smushes her to the ground.

"Shit!" Khione yelps, "Did I kill her?!"

Brown liquid, just as before, begins to seep underneath Khione's block of ice, before rising into the air, and taking the form of Marsh.

"Close one!" Marsh yelps as she cracks her neck, "If I had anything other than my Mud Charge, I would have died!"

"Mud Charge, huh?" Khione asks as she resumes her Charge Stance, "That's an odd one."

"Ice Charge, Level Three: Solid Lance!" Khione shouts as she swipes both hands outwards, freezing the air before her, and sending dozens of lances flying towards Marsh.

In response, Marsh doubles-over to the side again, causing her hair to fall downwards, just as before, and orangish-brown sparks of energy begin to burst and swirl around her body.

"So THAT'S Marsh's Charge Stance?" Khione says to herself.

"Mud Charge, Level One: Passerby!" Marsh cackles.

Khione's ice lances pierce Marsh, but as they do, Marsh's body turns into mud, leaving her unaffected by Khione's attacks.

Khione's eyes widen. "Marsh…is just like Master F!"

"Your cute face isn't the only reason why I choose YOU to be my target, Khione…" Mary smirks, "IT'S BECAUSE PHYSICAL ATTACKS HAVE NO EFFECT ON M-!"

Before Marsh can finish her taunt, Khione swipes both hands outwards, freezing Marsh in ice.

"As you were saying?" Khione yawns.

But then…Khione's ice begins to crack. Another crack forms in Khione's ice, and then another, and another, cracks spreading across the ice like branching rivers. And finally…Khione's ice shatters, sending chunks of ice flying everywhere, and revealing a smirking Marsh standing there with orangish-brown sparks of energy bursting and swirling around her body.

"Brrr!" Marsh shudders, "Chilly!"

Khione raises an eyebrow at Marsh. "So my Permafrost won't work on YOU, either?"

Khione sighs as she resumes her Charge Stance, "I've been unlucky with BOTH of my E-Charger opponents, so far…"

"Ice Charge, Level Two: Solid Hammer!" Khione shouts again as she swipes both hands outwards, freezing the air above Marsh's head, and causing a giant block of ice to begin falling down through the air towards March again.

"Trying the same spell again, huh?" Marsh laughs as she peers up at Khione's spell.

But then, Khione swipes her hands outwards again, freezing two more blocks of ice, one on either side of Marsh, and sending them flying towards the woman.

"You know what they say about E-Chargers who can turn into their elements-" Marsh begins to say, but just as before, Marsh is cut off when Khione's chunks of ice then slam into Marsh, from the right, from the left, and on top.

"There's no way that Marsh can break out of that…" Khione pants.

But much to Khione's surprise, mud begins to seep through the tight cracks in between Khione's three blocks of ice, before rising into the air and taking the form of Marsh.

Khione's eyes widen. "SERIOUSLY…?" She softly gasps.

"At least let me finish!" Marsh snaps as she stomps a foot against the ground, leaving a muddy footprint in her wake, "E-Chargers who can turn into their element are special, they're a one in one hundred kind! Of course, that ability is useless for an Ice Charger such as yourself, since it'll only serve to make your body weaker, but for E-Chargers such as me and your Master Flint Grovel, it's our most powerful weapon."

"So you know about Master F's Sand Clones, huh?" Khione growls.

"Of course I do!" Marsh answers, "I know everything about your entire team! And once I'm done here…I'll go kill THEM."

Khione's eyes widen.

And then…a burst of icy sparks of energy exploded from her body.

"Is that so, huh…?"

Marsh smirks. "So you've finally gotten serious, my Dear Khione?" Marsh asks as she resumes her Charge Stance, "Maybe I should get too."

"MUD CHARGE, LEVEL TWO: IRON NEEDLES!"

Marsh's body then turns to mud, which fires off needles of mud out of her chest.

"Ice Charge, Level One: Permafrost!" Khione shouts as she swipes both hands outwards, freezing Marsh's needles of mud in their path, causing them to fall to the ground.

A moment later, Khione's ice cracks, sending chunks of ice flying everywhere, and once they do, the mud making up Marsh's needles explodes outwards.

"MUD CHARGE, LEVEL THREE: SEWER PIPE!" Marsh cackles as a tsunami of mud begins crashing down upon Khione.

In response, Khione resumes her Charge Stance.

"Ice Charger, Level One: Permafrost!" Khione shouts as she swipes both hands outwards in an attempt to freeze Marsh's mud tsunami, but all that Khione manages to freeze is a small portion of the tsunami. Marsh's mud tsunami breaks free from Khione's ice directly after, and continues crashing down upon Khione.

"Crap, there's too much mud to freeze!" Khine cries as the mud continues crashing down around her.

Khione's eyes then widen.

"I can't freeze the mud…but I can freeze myself!"

"Ice Charger, Level One-!" Khione then shouts as she resumes her Charge Stance.

"That won't work!" Marsh cackles, "You don't have the power to freeze a tsunami!"

"-Permafrost!" Khione shouts as she swipes both hands outwards, freezing the air around her and encasing Khione in ice.

Marsh's tsunami then crashes down into Khione at last, sending Khione flying backwards and crashing into the wall behind her, causing Khione's ice to shatter.

"Crap!" Khione winces as she crashes to the ground, "At least my ice armor…helped a little…"

"Like I said…" Marsh smirks, "Your physical attacks have NO effect on me!"

"We'll see…about that…" Khione grunts as she stands up and resumes her Charge Stance.

"Ice Charger, Level One: Permafrost!" Khione shoots as she swipes both hands southwards.

"Let's see what you're freezing this time…my Dear Khione…" Marsh swoons.

Khione then places both hands to the ground, and ice begins spreading across the floor from the point where Khione's hands touch the ground. Khione ice continues spreading across the floor until it reaches the walls, and then finally, the ceiling.

As Khione stands back up, the entire room has been encased in ice.

"Brrr…" Marsh shudders as she rubs her arms.

"And now-" Khione says as she resumes her Charge Stance.

"Ice Charge, Level Three: Solid Lance!" Khione shouts as she swipes both hands outwards, freezing the air before her, and sending dozens of ice lances flying towards Marsh.

"That won't work!" Marsh cackles as she resumes her Charge Stance.

"Mud Charge, Level One: Passerby!" Marsh shouts as her body begins to turn into mud.

Khione's ice lances pierce Marsh, who smirks as she opens her mouth to taunt Khione, but then…Marsh's eyes widen as she stumbles backwards and spits up a glob of blood.

Marsh then peers down at Khione's lances piercing her chest, and sees red blood trickling down them.

"What…happened…?" Marsh croaks.

"It's simple," Khione smirks as she reuems her own Charge Stance, "I froze the entire room so that it's too cold for your family to solidify."

Marsh's eyes widen.

"Alright…now to finish this…" Khione says as she resumes her Charge Stance.

Khione then peers up at Marsh and glares at her.

"Ice Charge, Level Four-!" Khione begins to say as she charges Marsh, and as she does, Khione freezes the air around her arm, forming a spiked gauntlet of ice.

Khione then chambers her ice covered fist.

"No…stay back!" Marsh cries as she resumes her Charge Stance.

"Mud Charger, Level Two: Iron Needles!" MArsh cries as she thrusts a hand towards Khione, sending a volley of muddy needles flying towards her.

Marsh's mud needles pierce Khione, but she continues charging, until Khione is standing before Marsh.

"-MURDER VAMBRACE!"

With a roar, Khione smashes her ice gauntlet not Marsh's stomach with such force that Khione's ice chatters, and Marsh is sent flying backwards, her back slamming into the wall behind her, and spits up a glob of blood, before falling to the ground at last.

Khione pants as she stares Marsh's unconscious body down.

"Thank you…for making me stronger."
