Chapter 105-Flint vs Rocket, Part Two

"Damn…this again…" Flint grunts as he watches a maze of iron walls rise out of the ground around him.

"Remember me, Sand User?" A voice asks, drawing Flint's attention over to his opponent; Rocket.

"Rocket's Air Charge was tricky…" Flint says to himself under his breath, "If it wasn't for my ninja training and the level five spell I unlocked…I would have died…"

"Let's see if you've gotten any better…" Rocky says as he draws his lance and holds it up into the air, and bright green sparks of energy begin to burst and swirl around his body.

"Air Charge, Level One…ASPHYXIATION!"

Flint's eyes bulge out of his head as he begins frantically gasping for air. Flint then drops to the ground as he begins scratching at his neck, while Flint's spears of sand fall limply to the ground.

Flint continues gasping for air as golden-tan sparks of energy begin to burst and swirl around his body, freeing Flint from Rocket's spell.

"So your Asphyxiation counts as an entrapment spell," Flint says as he stands up to face Rocket, "Which means I can free myself from it."

"Damn…!" Rocket mutters to himself under his breath, "Flint's E-Charge skills…are stronger than mine…"

"Air Charge, Level Two-!" Rocket shouts as he resumes his Charge Stance, "-Atmospheric Cannon!"

"I remember this spell!" Flint exclaims as he resumes his Charge Stance, "Sand Charge, Level Three: Sandstorm!"

A tendril of spinning and then rises out of the ground in front of Flint, shielding him from Rocket's spell.

Rocket then thrusts his spear towards Flint, and Flint anticipates Rocket's spell.

However…Flint's eyes widen as an imaginary force SLAMS into Flint's back, causing Flint to fall to the ground in a puddle of sand.

"How did…" Flint grunts, "Rocket's level two spell…usually sends an invisible projectile of sand flying forwards…"

Flint's eyes then widen.

"No…Rocket manipulated the air BEHIND ME instead to attack!"

"Air Charge, Level Two-" Rocket says again as he resumes his Charge Stance.

"-Atmospheric Cannon!" Rocket then shouts as he thrusts his lance towards Flint.

"Sand Charge, Level Five-!" Flint shouts as he scrambles up to his feet and resumes his Charge Stance.

"-Sandcastle!" Flint then shouts as the sand at his feet rises into the air and forms a golem of sand around him.

At first…nothing happens.

But then…dozens of invisible air spheres BLAST into Flint's sand golem from multiple directions at once, eventually breaking Flint's defenses and blasting into him, sending Flint crashing to the ground, as the sand making up Flint's Sandcastle falls to the ground around him.

"Damn it…" Flint grunts as he stares up at the menacing Rocket.

"Air Charge, Level Three: Oxygen Lance!" Rocket roars as he jabs his lance towards Flint, but before it can pierce him, Flint thrusts a hand toward Rocket.

"Sand Charge, Level Three: Sand Whip!" Flint shouts as a tendril of sand flies out of the puddle of sand below Flint and wraps around Rocket's hand.

Flint then rips his hand backwards, causing his Sand Whip to yank Rocket's lance out of his hand, and tossing it backwards.

"Annoying," Rocket spits.

"What are you gonna do without your toy?" Flint smirks as he peers up at Rocket.

"-THIS!" Rocket shouts as he launches a foot outwards, attempting to kick Flint in the jaw, but before the attack can connect, Flint swiftly shoots both hands soutwards and pushes himself off of the ground, then uses the momentum to backflip out of the way, dodging Rockets attack.

"AIR CHARGE-!" Rocket roars as bright green sparks of energy begin to burst and swirl around his body.

Flint narrows his eyes at Rocket as he resumes his own Charge Stance.

"So far…I've only been using my Sand Charge…" Flint mutters to himself under his breath, "Although Zippy has been following us for a while, I doubt they know about my Glass Charge…THAT is my secret to winning this battle, the secret weapon that Rocket has no idea about…"

Flint pauses.

"But…how do I take advantage of my Glass Charge to win this fight?" He asks himself, "Glass isn't the most useful substance in combat, it only helped me to defeat Sol and other heat-users. Think, Flint, think! I'm facing an Air Charger, how will my glass help me?!"

Flint's eyes widen as golden-tan sparks of energy explode form his body and take the form of a mighty bull of golden-ran aura.

"That's it!"

"Air Charge, Level Two: Atmospheric Can-!" Rocket begins to shout as he thrusts a hand towards Flit.

But before Rocket can finish activating his spell, Flint shouts: "GLASS CHARGE, Level Three: Crystal Prism!"

All of a sudden, five glass walls appear around Rocket, trapping him in a cube of glass.

Rocket's eyes widen. "Gl-Glass Charge. What is this?!" Rocket cries as he bangs his fists against Flint's glass wall, "Were you always able to do this?!"

"No, this is a recent thing," Flint smirks.

"Cheating…" Rocket growls, "You're cheating…using a second element."

"Cheating?" Flint asks as he cocks his head at Rocket, "I've AWAKENED. I'm using my own skills to defeat you."

Rocket opens his mouth up to reply, but before he can say anything, Rocket feels his entire body grow weak and dizzy as he falls to the ground.

"What…is happening…to me…?" Rocket weekly managed to croak out.

"Oxygen poisoning," Flint explains, "I know a lot about different types of poisons due to gym training with Master Doku. Of course, human beings need oxygen to live. However, if you breathe in one hundred percent oxygen or too much oxygen…it poisons the body, causing you to become faint and sickly. All E-Chargers have the ability to both produce and manipulate their element. Of course, with many of your spells, you opt to manipulate air rather than producing your own. However, when one E-Chargers, their aura sometimes excretes and takes the properties of their element. Their PURE element. So by sealing you in a glass prison, when you E-Charged and released pure oxygen, you POISONED your own body."

"YOU led to your own demise, Rocket."

"No…" Rocket weakly croaks as he lifts a shaky fist, "I can just break this gla-"

Before Rocket can finish, Rocky drops his hand as he limply flops to the ground.

A moment later, Flint's Crystal Prism shatters.

"Don't worry," Flint smirks to his unconscious opponent, "I didn't keep you trapped in there long enough to kill you. I don't…do that anymore…"
