1 How I reached my Apotheosis
There was a human boy around 18 years old who had an average life, he was a big nerd or geek with the pop culture he loved and he especially liked video games and anime. One day the boy was taking a walk around his town as he was going to the store.
?????: "Ahh it is good day to be not dead"
Suddenly a truck came out of nowhere as it slammed into the boy at speeds that broke the sound barrier, the boy sadly died.... or did he?
The boy woke up later as he was strapped to a cold metal table and some old man asked him to sign a contract, the boy still being out of it and thinking this was a dream at first signed the contract without thinking and gave himself the name "GURPS" on it based off this old RPG he once liked to play that was similar to Dungeons and Dragons.
The boy then got injected with something called paleblood and passed out again only to wake up to quite a literal nightmare. Didn't take long for GURPS to figure out that he was somehow in the world of Bloodborne, an old video game he played and loved back when he was a younger teenager.
Now at first GURPS really struggled as he was never a very physical guy before much less a fighter, he died quite a bit in the early stages on his journey but could keep respawning to try again thanks to a realm called the Hunter's Dream.

He managed to eventually get a little better at slaying beasts as he progressed and even killed a few bosses but he wasn't the best yet, he'd end up going to this woman in the Hunter's Dream called the Plain Doll, She was a tall living doll woman with green eyes and white hair and pale skin as well.
GURPS would cry like a baby after dying to the same foe too much as she comforted him like a mother would.
It seemed like he may have almost given up eventually... but at some point something changed as he remembered something... he was gifted with the indomitable human spirit! GURPS then proceeded to go back to slaying those beasts with pure determination and he got better and better at fighting and stronger as well!
To cope a bit better GURPS ended up treating the beast killing thing as a game and making light of it which was his way of coping to help him better push forward. He got stronger and faster and increased his skill with the blood echoes of his fallen foes as well with assistance from the Plain Doll, GURPS became like John Wick to the beasts and monsters of this world.
Eventually GURPS killed the supposed source of the Beast Plague that threatened this land and after rejecting an offer to go free from The First Hunter, GURPS defeated Gehrman in combat killing and freeing the old man from the Hunter's Dream... that was when a Red Eldritch creature descended from the sky... The Moon Presence.

The Moon Presence tried to force GURPS to take Gehrman's place but little did it know GURPS knew this would be coming because he beat the game before, GURPS made sure to find 3 Great One umbilical cords during his adventure and before his fight with Gehrman he consumed them, because of this the Moon Presence wasn't able to subdue him as he pushed her off with an explosion of light and power.
It was a mighty battle but with his new strength and power and skills he had gained GURPS was able to slay the Moon Presence at last and end the nightmare... then something incredible happened.
GURPS felt that the Moon Presence may not have truly died but she still transcended somehow and left this reality, She felt happy for some reason but before she left she gave GURPS a gift as she infused half of her essence and soul and power from her defeat into him before she fully left.
This gift combined with the blood echoes and arcane power he amassed and the umbilical cords he previously consumed transformed his body and soul as he underwent an apotheosis.
GURPS was reborn as an infant Great One, he was now a Higher Multidimensional eldritch entity but a baby for now. The Plain Doll was still in the Hunter's Dream and she would take the roll of a mother as she cared for the baby Great One.

About 100 years Later GURPS got his memories and ability to think properly back as The Plain Doll helped ease him into his new powers and form he possessed, he found out he could BEND reality among some other things, he was a Great One with a soul of Void and yet he still had a human's spirit to him.
After a bit of experimenting with the power he now wielded GURPS was able to change his body to give himself his human form back... with a few tweaks. Besides looking generally more handsome and attractive, he had void black hair and a light tan skin and eyes with a kaleidoscope colored shaped looking iris to them.
His power was now comparable to an Outer God from Cthulhu Mythos stories and lore... and would only get stronger with time, for he had a unique gift that his unique circumstances granted him. GURPS could evolve and get stronger, with time or by absorbing the "Echoes" of fallen foes.
GURPS was the first of his kind, a Neo Great One as he would refer to himself as, somehow because of how he was once a human and how he was reborn as a Great One he was more powerful than any of the previous Great Ones of the Bloodborne world with the potential to keep getting stronger if needed.
He also found out two things: first that the realm of the Hunter's Dream was fully his now and had since detached from the Bloodborne world to be it's own realm he can shape as he pleases. But also that his Apotheosis may have been what the Moon Presence wanted... he was technically her child and kin now like she has wanted in lore he recalled.
The Moon Presence is gone but she may come back to visit at some point, despite this he was not worried about her trying anything because his power eclipsed even hers now.
Truly he was a unique breed of a Great One to be so strong and have such potential among their kind. Heck his true form was technically formless but he still gave himself an avatar to inhabit, his human body as well as a more Eldritch Looking form that he made to use if he wants.
GURPS eventually decided he was ready as he used his power to open up the Omniverse to himself, he said bye to the Plain Doll but promised to visit and picked a random world similar to his earth before he sent himself to this world as he finally found himself feeling truly free for the first time in quite awhile.
GURPS took in some fresh air before looing for a house to use as he began thinking of what to do now.

Some time would pass as GURPS pretended to be a normal human for a bit and even became roommates with this man named Mike. GURPS and Mike got along well and even shared some similar tastes in areas. Mike was a big strong looking man with black hair who always was seen wearing sun glasses.
GURPS became quite bored eventually though and was trying to think of what he should do to entertain himself for a time. It was early in the morning as he heard a sudden noise and Mike came running in to his bedroom.
Mike: "GURPS! I JUST HAD A DREAM!"
GURPS: "Dream? of what?"
Mike: "I JUST HAD A DREAM OF GETTING A HAREM OF DEMON WOMEN! ...and I'd like you to help me!"
GURPS was familiar with the existence of the supernatural in this version of earth, he had his INSIGHT which was sort of like Omniscience in a way but not exact, it was close enough that with his vast endless insight he did some checking to learn more about this earth to discover all this before.
So he knew hell and demons existed here but was still a bit shocked and caught off guard by Mike's sudden request.
GURPS: "So let me get this straight... you want to go to Hell itself and pick up demon women for a harem of them?"
Mike: "Yes, when demon girls are involved no price is too high"
He was almost impressed with the speed and certainty of Mike's response
GURPS: "I dunno man, Hell's pretty dangerous I assume and I don't want you to die or something worse"
Truthfully with his power GURPS knows he'd be fine and he could protect Mike easy if he wants but he still wanted to see how serious Mike was about this.
Mike: "If you help then we can share the demon women"
GURPS: "....you son of a Hellspawn... I'm in"
Truthfully GURPS was also tempted by demon women as well it turns out.
Mike didn't know exactly what GURPS was yet but he did know he could use Magic or "Thaumaturgy" as GURPS called it. Because of this Mike wanted his help since he assumed his Wizard roommate would be of great assistance.
The two got themselves ready as Mike got dressed and GURPS got his old Hunter clothes on cause he liked the style. The Thaumaturgy GURPS uses isn't the same thing as his Reality warping power but even if his BEND ability is superior he still likes to use magic for fun sometimes.
Channeling some Arcane power GURPS opens a portal as he and Mike step into literal Hell for the first time.
Mike: "By the way... call me The Helltaker now"
GURPS: "You just came up with that?"
Helltaker: "Yeah, I thought it sounded cool and would fit"
GURPS: "Sure, now this is the first floor of Hell I think... let's take a look around"

Quick clarification I'm editing in, Helltaker and GURPS will not be sharing all the girls in a poly sense, they both are gonna end up picking which girls they want more by the end and both have their respective harems, Helltaker only meant sharing in a "we can both get some of the demon women" way.

Btw not all chapters might be this length although some may, this one I kind of rushed cause i wanted to get the main plot started so I was mainly trying to get who and what GURPS was and how he got here out of the way. other chapters i may try to keep shorter for the most part but that depends as I'm still trying to find a good rhythm for preferred chapter lengths.
