Shawn was already shocked when he saw that the mission he had received had been altered. But before he could even think about who the mysterious being that changed his mission was, or why they did what they did, he received an even bigger shock when he saw that Lucifer was paying attention to him.

According to the angel, the Tower had a total of 100 floors. And on the 90th Floor was where the countless Gods and Demons resided.

And one of those countless demons was Lucifer. However, Lucifer wasn't just any demon.

With his Power of Darkness, he was one of the strongest demons in existence.

Why was someone so powerful paying attention to him?

'Wait a second. He isn't interested in me. He's interested in whoever changed my mission.'

The angel had said that even though Gods and Devils couldn't leave the 90th floor for some reason, whenever they found someone talented climbing the tower, they would reward them for their efforts. And if they took an even greater liking to the individual, they would make them their Apostle!

Therefore, learning that Lucifer wasn't interested in him made Shawn a bit sad.

However the feelings did not last for long. Even if Lucifer wasn't interested in him, there was still the mysterious being who forcibly altered his mission.

Since only beings on the 90th Floor could influence the Tower's system, it meant that at least one extremely powerful individual was paying attention to him.

Thus, Shawn made up his mind to keep that powerful existence's interest in him by completing the mission that he had been given.

'I originally wanted to kill you swiftly, but someone wants to see you despair, Jude. You can only curse your bad luck for this.'

Thinking such things, Shawn once again grabbed the switchblade inside his pocket as he got ready to pull it out. But before he could do that, he once again saw new details pop up on the system interface.

Staring at the ring on his finger with wide eyes as it stopped tightening after a few seconds, Shawn no longer dared to think any bad things about it.
