Alessandra did not see why that was important right now. "We are not as rich as you are-"
"You certainly are not," Edgar chuckled. There was a good difference in the wealth he had compared to the few gold coins Desmond was holding onto. "I will give you one of my carriages if you can say confidently that your father has never borrowed money from his mother."
