Alessandra chuckled as a funny memory filled her mind. 

Edgar wanted to know what was so funny all of a sudden, so he poked her side and asked, "Why are you laughing?"

"I am laughing at the time Lily brought home a necklace a boy bought for her and you threw it away to buy her a new one for her to wear. Telling her that her father can buy her whatever she wants, so there is no need for her to accept gifts from boys. How will you survive when they are older?" Alessandra wondered.

Edgar only had himself to blame. He was the one who wanted many children, including twins. They ended up with three girls, which he would need to chase away young men looking to marry.

"He should have never approached her with a cheap necklace," Edgar muttered, once again angered by it. He wanted to find the boy and give him a memorable warning to stay away from his daughters "Stop talking about their marriages. They are only children."
