White. The first thing I saw when I opened my eyes, the color white. I felt inclined to cry, the most natural reaction for newborns truly. The sounds of others crying around me as I looked around in intrigue.As I grew older my environment never changed. no one would be coming.

"Ah, what's wrong Ashida?"
"Are you okay? I've been calling you for the past 5 minutes."
"Were you perhaps thinking something dirty~?"
I wasn't particularly in the mood to banter with Ashida today. Sour memories I wish to bury seemed to resurface.
"Yeah, I was thinking about you Ashida."
"Tawawa! What the hell are you talking about Sajou!?"
"I didn't say anything."
"I'm pretty sure you───
There was no more need to continue this conversation, the bell just signalled lunch break and I had to head over to the student council to help out again. While I don't particularly want to the ice cream is indeed, tempting.
"Uh- Hey, where are you going!?"
"Who knows."
I left without another word.

What the hell is wrong with that guy!? First he starts acting all edgy and saying he doesn't like Ai-chi anymore. Then he stops smiling and magically becomes some sort of genius..and then he goes and tells me…that.
'Jeez what the hell is actually going on?'
"Kei? You seem spaced out."
"Oh sorry Ai-chi it's nothing~ hehe."
"Are you sur-"
"Yep! Absolutely~"
"Alright then…anyways do you know what's wrong with Sajou? He stopped being creepy all of a sudden and seemed kinda close with Shinomiya-senpai."
"Ara~ is Ai-chi perhaps jealous?"
"Kei!"
"My bad~ my bad~"
"So how do you feel now that he isn't bothering you?"
Her face immediately formed a frown. 'So it's like that eh~'
"Honestly…I don't know."
"Well~ that's natural since you're used to him giving you all his attention, and now he doesn't give you any."
"Ugh, why do I not like that…"
"Maybe you like him.~"
"NO! No way!"
"Well either way, now it's your turn to chase him since he isn't going to anymore."
"W-what should I do?"
"Hell if I know."
"Do you know where he is by the way, Kei?"
"I got no clue, I asked him but he didn't answer and seemed in a hurry. Hehe maybe he got a girlfriend~"
"Stop teasing me Kei!"
'I was being serious though, I can't see how else he completely lost interest otherwise'

I was already almost finished with the documents Kaede wanted me to write up. It seems like they had some sort of trip planned for the second half of summer break. I couldn't see the full details as I assume Kaede didn't give it to me to ruin the surprise.
'A trip huh.'
"Done sis."
"Huh? Already? That was pretty quick Wataru."
"It wasn't necessarily hard work Kaede"
"Stil-
"Are you sure you didn't make any errors?"
"I am sure Yuuki-senpai, please do not mistakenly compare our work. Are you perhaps projecting?"
"Huh? I was just making sure since you finished pretty quickly."
"You can check my work if you want to. If anything I'm sure I can also help finish yours faster too."
"Why you-"
"Hey hey, no need to get aggravated, I'm just offering my assistance."
"Well no one asked you."
"If no one truly asked me I wouldn't be here now would I? Also are you sure you don't need my help? It looks like you do.."

Yuuki-senpai punched me in the face. While I could've blocked that, it would defeat the entire purpose of me riling him up now wouldn't it? I had one clear goal in mind, to disillusion his figure in my sister's view. It isn't as though I dislike his character but more so I dislike the fact he indirectly threatened me yesterday. While this isn't enough to completely disillusion his figure I had already taken other measures to ensure his social downfall.
I had purposefully been ambiguous when Ashida had asked where I was headed. With how I had acted recently and completely avoided any interaction with Natsukawa she would suspect more than I had just given up in courting her. If the original were to ever have given up courting Natsukawa it was still certain that he would at least still interact with her rather than wholly avoiding interaction.
So then, what reason would someone who was obsessed with a girl start avoiding her? 'The answer 90% would instantly think of would be that he had gotten a girlfriend.'
With that thought in Ashida's head and my ambiguous response to where I was going, I was certain she would follow me. There was no way she would instantly follow me though, she wouldn't just leave without talking to Natsukawa first so I had about 15 minutes headroom to finish my work. That would also be the perfect excuse to provoke Yuuki-senpai as it shouldn't be possible for "someone like me" to finish that quickly.
"Wataru/Sajou! Are you okay!?"
'Checkmate.'
Allowing myself to be hit in the face was the key factor. Even if I had been wrong and Ashida hadn't chosen to follow me, I would still return to class with a swollen cheek. Naturally people would be curious about what had happened to me. The only difference is now that instead of me being the one saying who hit me and risking the disbelief of others, Ashida would be the one to say. Ashida has a particularly high standing in the class so there is no way they would discredit her word.
'With this, rumours should spread. "Yuuki Hayato hit an underclassman." '

During the altercation with Yuuki-senpai I felt my phone vibrate but put off checking it until I could. I had been forced to the infirmary due to both my sister and Ashida's worry. They couldn't stay as lunch break was over, so I chose to check my phone now. I was quite unpopular having only Kaede, Mom and Babysitter-san listed in my contacts, with two unread messages from the latter.
「Hey! Could you meet in Cafe stile at 4 tomorrow?」~20 mins ago
「Oh right you have school! Respond when u can lol」~12 mins ago
「Sure I can be there, won't it be crowded though?」
「Nah, my manager booked the place for the evening」
「Manager?」
「Forget about that hehe my bad.」
「Alright then, please send me the location.」
「📍 location」
「Btw, has anyone ever told u that u text weird?」

Author note: I'm sure yall realise the name changed from kai to hayato, I'm sorry yall I mixed up the characters LOL. BUT….. I edited the other chapters to fix this so we're good I think? Also dw about blend s cafe being here they have no relevance to the story unless yall want them there, I just couldn't think of a meeting spot. Hope yall like the chapter and pls help out with errors or suggestions.
