86 Christian Moreau

Morpheus opened his heavy eyelids with great effort, still feeling extremely drowsy after having slept for god knows how long. When his vision focused, an unfamiliar ceiling greeted him.

He slowly sat up on the bed and looked around. The room he was in was spacious and gave off an antiquity vibe. There were beautiful landscape paintings adorning the walls, a crystal chandelier hanging from the ceiling, and antique wall lamps placed beside the bed.

For a brief moment, he had this absurd notion that he transmigrated to a medieval fantasy world, that was until he glanced at the digital alarm clock on the bedside table.

He looked at the date displayed on the clock and was taken aback. "Shit, ten days have passed since Halloween? This is the longest I've ever slept."
