The dream tomes

This is a book full of short entertaining stories based on elaborate dreams that are too full of details that I simply have to write them down. It is possible that I will rewrite these stories in a different book on a better platform in the near future, but please enjoy!

Miky’s Tale

Hey! Mikalla here! Please, call me Miky. You may have read about my dear boyfriend in the second chapter, but you might wonder what my side of the story is.

Let's start from the beginning, shall we? In second grade, I met a set of twins, Ashton and Briar, and we clicked right away! We hung out all the time, and as an only child, I saw them as my sisters. When fifth grade hit, they told me that their dad mentioned a brother whom we'd go to school with the following year. Had I known things would end up as they did, I probably wouldn't have tried so hard to get his attention.

If I remember correctly, I asked him out mid-year of sixth grade. His reaction was the cutest ever! Like a puppy coming to its forever home and getting tons of attention from little kids. Of course, he said yes, kissing me then and there making it official. It wasn't long until we had a few... Mishaps. In sophomore year, I gave birth to a handsome baby boy named Garrett. Much to River's complaints, I promised my father I would name my firstborn son after him. "And may his future be brighter than the stars!" My dad had told me in his final breath.

In our junior year, I miscarried my baby girl Penelope at 26 weeks, and it put me into a world of pain and sadness. I guess River had picked up on this and had gotten tickets for my favorite band. His mom had agreed to babysit for us. "It's only right since he's my grandbaby!" She wouldn't take no for an answer.

On the way there, a scene from "Final Destination 2" played out, killing me in the process.

"River," I said with the strength I could muster. "I love you and that child of ours. Take care of him for me, and let him know every day that I love him so much." I felt myself fade and started to be lifted. When I opened my eyes, my dad was there.

"Dad!" I yelled as I hugged him as tight as I could. "Hey there, kiddo," he responded. "Let's go see Garrett, then I'll have to introduce you to the guardian angel of our family. I nodded my head as we did the things he said to do.

After a month, our guardian angel told me that his daughter was going to bring me back to life, and she did. She introduced herself to me as Ryder and explained how hard my death had been for River. It turned out that not only were River and Ryder together, but River also had a boyfriend named Ryan. Why the 'R' names? I have no idea! But I asked if I could join this relationship, and Ryder and I hit it off better than River and I did. This didn't go over with River very well, and he got so obsessed with Ryder and me, that Ryan felt unappreciated and left the relationship. Though he stayed friends with us girls.

River's obsession with us turned to anger and jealousy. "Why do you two always have to be together? I'm in this relationship too!" He'd always yell this if we wanted to hang out just the two of us.

This lead to the downfall of the rest of the relationship. He continued to yell and demand to see us more often. We thought he'd calm down after a while, but he didn't. He got worse. Demanding snuggles, make-out sessions, even into the nitty gritty. After the last incident, Ryder got fed up with how River was treating us, told my mom, and went down to the police station with me.

We were able to get a restraining order against him, but he broke it. He kidnapped the both of us and did things I still can not bring myself to talk about.

We were able to escape thanks to Ryder's angelic abilities, and River was arrested the following hour. Ryder and I decided to be just friends and explored the journey to motherhood together.

Our babies may have been e kidnapped by a friend of River's, but they're safe and sound in our arms again. And the friendship between Ryder and me? Well... That didn't work out. She's now my one and only girlfriend.
