Outside the King's Landing, more than a hundred tents had been set up and thousands of common people had come to watch. It was the twelfth name day tourney of Prince Joffrey Baratheon.

Daemon, who had just turned thirty, did not participate in this tournament, but sat in his seat and looked thoughtfully at Jaime Lannister, who was two years younger than him on the field.

Jaime was tall and handsome, with golden hair and a smile sharp as a blade. He was widely recognized as one of the most handsome man in Westeros.

But Daemon had no interest in men. His eyes lustfully turned to Jaime's sister Cersei Lannister, who had married the new king Robert Baratheon after the War of the Usurper and become the Queen of the Seven Kingdoms.

Years ago, Lord Tywin Lannister had intended to marry his daughter Cersei to Prince Rhaegar, but after a refusal from Aerys, Rhaegar married Princess Elia Martell of Dorne.

Daemon had seen this little beauty with a "Lannister" proud face once. Although she had become a mother of three children now, she was still slender, with fair skin, golden curls, and emerald green eyes that were typical of the Lannister beauty.

As he watched Cersei, Kevan couldn't help but wonder how different his own life would have been if she had married Rhaegar instead of Robert.

Daemon's relationship with her other brother, the "half-man" dwarf Tyrion Lannister, was quite different. Daemon appreciated his knowledge and wisdom, while Tyrion enjoyed Daemon's boldness and his skill in combat, not to mention their mutual love of pleasure and wine. The two became fast friends.

At the Tournament of the Hand, the crowd cheered as the Knight of Flowers, Loras Tyrell, won the tourney.

A few months later, Jon Arryn fell ill and died. before he died, he called out the name "Robert" several times and kept muttering"Seed is strong."

She came alone as promised, dressed in rare simplicity, wearing only leather boots and a green hunting suit.

Cersei Lannister asked as she stood in front of him and stood tall above.

"There are few people here."

She sat down on the grass beside him, her every move graceful.

Her curled blonde hair danced softly in the wind, and her emerald eyes resembled the leaves of summer.

"I know why Jon Arryn died, I know some of your little secrets..." Daemon said in a relaxed tone.

"Sir Daemon, you called me here for this?"

Daemon did not answer her question, but reached out and gently touched her cheek.
