A Proposal

"What are you trying to say?" Johnny didn't understand what exactly a young man, not much older than Miguel, was trying to convey, so he was a bit confused.

Dash understood the confusion and clarified, "Sakura Bushido is a Kung Fu school, but we lack a good Karate teacher. Karate is one of the disciplines in which we actively participate in this country, and to be honest, we would like to have Cobra Kai affiliated with us."

This wasn't about integrating Cobra Kai with Sakura Bushido but having Cobra Kai as a Karate school for Sakura Bushido's students. However, Johnny Lawrence didn't understand this, so he refused, saying, "Cobra Kai is not for sale. If that's all you want to say, you can leave the way you came in. You know the exit."

Devon raised her eyebrows slightly and said, "It's just a proposal. If you accept immediately, you'll have fifty students under your teaching. The only thing that would change is that, in real competitions, Cobra Kai would be a school under the control of Sakura Bushido. You would have the privileges that our Kung Fu school has abroad, immediately gaining a solid foundation to start teaching."

Dash nodded at Devon's words; she perfectly described what he meant. He added, "Of course, to get all this, you just need to change your training routine a bit. Striking first is old and questionable; it would only create students with affected mentalities."

Dash's words were sincere; he didn't want to offend Cobra Kai but give advice from his humble knowledge. However, it seemed like he was achieving the opposite.

Johnny Lawrence was no longer interested; he had full confidence that he would make Cobra Kai grow, so he didn't need third parties to improve his reputation and get students.

"I appreciate your high regard for me, but I decline. Cobra Kai won't be a branch of another school." Johnny was confident in his words, so he didn't want to talk more.

Looking at Miguel, who was coming out of the bathroom, Dash smiled a bit disappointed and said, "Then we'll see you at the All Valley tournament. Surely the competition will be much more exciting now with Cobra Kai in the arena. I'll send you a gift wishing you luck for opening a new Dojo; Karate is not dead, Mr. Lawrence."

"Dash, wait!" Miguel, who had recognized the visitors, quickly wanted to greet them.

Devon and Dash, who were putting on their shoes, turned their gaze toward the voice. When they saw who it was, they smiled.

"You're the star of Cobra Kai; I couldn't have imagined it if they had told me." Dash didn't underestimate Miguel but wanted to be a bit more sarcastic in a friendly way.

Miguel smiled a bit embarrassed and said, "I thought you were interested in joining Cobra Kai. Aren't you interested in joining? Mr. Lawrence is a great Sensei; he's helping me a lot in my growth."

"We don't doubt that, Miguel, but we already belong to Sakura Bushido, and we're not here to look for a Dojo." Dash then adjusted his shoelaces and before leaving, he said, "You have a great teacher; make the most of it and learn as much as you can since he has a lot to teach you."

"Oh, thanks, see you at school."

Devon didn't say anything as they left Cobra Kai, and when both left, Johnny, who was standing in the middle of the Dojo, shouted, "What the hell are you doing, greeting the enemy?"

"Enemy?" Miguel was still paralyzed at hearing that.

Johnny nodded and said, "They came to close Cobra Kai and take me to teach at their Dojo. I prevented you from fighting on my behalf because you're not ready. Next time, we'll visit their Dojo, so let's train."

"They wanted to take him away?" Miguel still didn't comprehend Johnny's brief words.

"Silence, give me five hundred squats."

Miguel closed his eyes a bit confused and replied, "Won't I die if I do five hundred?"

"Silence! Do what I tell you and don't question my teachings." Johnny said a bit embarrassed because he wanted to say fifty but thought it would sound better with an extra zero.

"Do you know about the Sakura Bushido martial arts school?" Miguel asked Johnny amidst his training.

Johnny sighed, "I have no idea about that school. I guess there are many other good martial arts schools out there, so we must prepare."

"Come on, give me more squats."

"I have a pain in my ribs, Sensei."

"What are you doing? Breaks are not allowed during training."
