152 A Chat by the Bonfire

Dash and Devon sat by a bonfire while the others played strength games in the sand.

"Have you heard this? The biggest Dojo fight in the country is about to happen, and we must be prepared!" Victor shouted, being the elder guide of all the young Sakura Bushido students who were looking at him with hopeful eyes.

"Who will take the glory?"

"Sakura Bushido!"

"Us!"

Devon observed all the commotion and asked, "Are you sure it's okay for that fool to get the new students excited when they might not even participate?"

"At least they'll train harder; the competition is increasing, so it's a good idea for them to train more to reach their goals." Sasha waved her hand while sipping an alcoholic drink.

"Are you drinking?"

Dash opened his eyes and justified, "There's no drink other than beer; I was really looking for grape juice but didn't find anything in the cooler."

"Let's take down Cobra!"

"Yeah!"

"Victor, shut your damn mouth, aren't they drinking something other than alcohol?" Devon shot Victor a fierce look; he was now a bit drunk.

"Miss Devon, to hell with Sakura Bushido. Listen up, their kicks are so fierce they'll leave you unconscious for a whole week without realizing it. Come on, Devon, kick my face and show the young ones how good you are."

Matteo widened his eyes and shouted, "Victor, you idiot, he's going to kill you!"

"Why not go for a walk instead?" Dash signaled for everyone to keep the idiot away from Victor, who had lost his mind.

"I want someone to hit me."

"This fool..."

After leaving the party where Devon ended up drinking the rest of Dash's beer, they both remained silent, watching the sunset. She tried to read some entertainment news on her phone, but she couldn't take her attention away from the atmosphere. She felt nervous when Dash wasn't by her side, but when he was, she became even more nervous.

This was a frustrating feeling because it's not like they were strangers. She had always wanted to act like a good girlfriend, but when she tried to, she still remained herself. This feeling was very annoying, after thinking a lot, she believed something was wrong, something she didn't understand.

"Miss Devon, don't tell me you're nervous in your boyfriend's embrace." Dash looked at her with a calm expression.

Devon smiled a bit and said, "I still don't know how boyfriends act; do you have any idea?"

"I think we've been acting like boyfriends for a long time, even though we were friends before, we've always taken care of each other." Dash said, thinking about it a bit.

To be honest, that feeling of wanting Devon had arisen innocently within his heart, and the only reason he took the first step was that his friendly relationship with Devon would no longer be pure if he had feelings for her.

No matter what would happen afterward, he would prefer to distance himself if Devon didn't feel the same way, and that was only out of discomfort. But she did feel the same way; she felt the same, and they became a couple despite still knowing what it really meant.

Dash was attentive to Devon's likes, bought her many things, and took care of anything that happened to her. He wasn't invasive, kept his distance, and liked to be there for her when she needed him.

Devon did exactly the same. They related to each other in that way, and really, now that they think about it, they've always been very attentive.

"Don't you think we should kiss to break the tension?"

Devon grunted at Dash's silly smile, and although they didn't kiss frequently, it wasn't something they had never done before, so she took the first step and held Dash's cheeks, who never thought Devon would take the first step.

Feeling Devon's moist lips, Dash opened his eyes, but as he felt extremely good, he began to respond to the kiss.

Devon, who didn't know how long she had been kissing Dash, pulled back surprised. Maybe she didn't have much experience with kisses because she rarely kissed Dash, but responding to that strange sensation in her body, she discovered that it felt very good.

"No matter how we do it, let's keep being ourselves," Dash said as he hugged Devon, paying little attention to not being that typical couple with his girlfriend.

Devon looked down, saw Dash's face, and smiled slightly. She thought the same way, and she was glad that he did too, so putting aside those thoughts, she started talking about other things.
