97 Capturing the attacker

Cian snapped his head up before turning around and there right behind him in front of the dark alley a few paces away was a mean-looking thug, holding another ark tranquilliser in his hands. Their gazes met and his mouth dropped open as if he couldn't understand how Cian was still standing without the knock-out potion's effects kicking in. 

Anger washed through Cian and his siren stood up with a war cry, the tranquillisers ruffling his feathers in the wrong way. His bird lunged at his surface and so did Cian as he sprinted across the street and unsheathed his claws that were as sharp as blades. The man in front of the dark alley jumped as he threw another dart that hit him dead in the centre of his chest but Cian didn't stop, he took out the dart that was sticking in his chest while running and aimed it back at the bastard who dodged it before muttering out a loud curse.
