5 Chapter 5: It’s time to let her go

"It's good to see you awake Callum. Ezran told me you were thirsty and hungry. Here is some water and some real food Callum" Lujanne smirked. " It's good to see you to Lujanne. You certainly haven't changed.". Lujanne smiled "Why would i change? Anyway i will check your health now. Sit still and if you feel any pain say it.".

Lujanne went on to inspect Callums body. "When you touch by ribs i have a litte pain, but that it." Lujanne looked up to Callum. "You seem different Callum." Answering her question "While i my body and eyes couldn't move my brain was working as it should. I had an month to thinks about everything that happened. This change is necessary for my future.". Lujanne looked at Callum suspiciously at Callum. "As long as you're alright. I didn't find any more wounds on you. Only some bruises near your ribs. I will get some medicine for the bruises. Why don't you and Exran talk about you missed this month." Lujanne stood up and walked out of the room.

Callum and Ezran looked at each other. "Ezran now that i'm awake why don't we talk about what happened this month, but first let me put on some fresh clothes. "Ofcourse Callum will wait outside." Ezran grabbed Bait and walked outside of the room. Callum then grabbed his clothes(clothes from season 1, 2 and 3), put them on and went outside.

While outside he saw Ezran waiting for him with Bait in his hands. "Why don't we go to the dinner table Ezran". "Sure Callum". While walking Ezran told him what he missed. "Callum you missed a lot this month. Aunt Amaya and Janai are dating, Opeli and Corvus are regents until i return to Katolis , Soren is now the head of the royal guard and i can always visit Zym in Xadia." said Ezran with a big smile. "That is nice to hear Ezran. It's nice that aunt Amaya found someone special. You can trust Opeli and Corvus to be you're regent. Their quite capable. You should keep an eye on Soren. Not because he isn't loyal, but can be a little daft and stupid."

Callum and Ezran smiled and reached the table. "Callum i send an message to aunt Amaya and Opeli. Hope they will respond soon with their own messenger bird." Said Ezran while sitting down. "Good. Hope to see all of them soon."

Callum saw Ezran suddenly look uncomfortable. "Ezran what's wrong?"

"Callum how are you with Rayla gone? Are you okay?" asked Ezran with a sad look.

Callum looked at Ezran, begane to sigh and say " Ezran i'm very sad that Rayla left. She betrayed my trust. When trapped in the space between the living and the dead she saw Viren alive. We agreed to look for him together, but she left me an letter."

Ezran saw the sadness and pain in Callums eyes. "Callum if Rayla returns, can you forgive her?"

Callum responded with a firm tone "Rayla betrayed my trust and left me. Maybe i can trust her again after some time and after she apologized properly. For now it's time to let her go."

"And you can do this?" Ezran looked at Callum and waited for his response. Callum lookes up in the sky and sighs. "What choice have i."
